  1. Sure, “will never sniff again” would have been better but completely dismiss any counter argument from me and others about development.
  2. What about Nixon? He played amazing his first year, slumped his second year then what? It’s hilarious that because one player has a good year away from Texas, you want to point to it as Pierce sucks at development. There are plenty of players under Pierce that have developed year to year. Pierce wasn’t Belicheck developing guys but he wasn’t terrible either. Also, you last point makes no sense when Daly has been to the WS 3 times, 2 of which were under Pierce.
  3. Wut?
  4. Yeah, you’re right. I don’t know why I said that last part. The ultimate thing with Star Wars—it’s a money printing machine no matter the quality of the product. She will always be able to give Iger big money numbers that he will in return show the board/shareholders and nothing will ever change.
  5. The rebuttal was always that she was in charge of the green lighting the good projects as well. It may be time to revisit that notion because her record is starting to get lopsided in the wrong direction and if the Acolyte continues down this horrible path, I don’t see how her seat is not red hot.
  6. Notice the thread is hot with replies Scrolls to see the secret lovers are back at it edit: not everyone but you two know who you are
  7. You are objectively correct on The Empire Strikes Back, no other live action Star Wars film can stand next to it. On its own, the film is one of the best (on every top “x” movies of all time list), and then every good sequel is now compared to the ESB. Nolan recently said that Denis’ Dune: Part 2 is his own “ESB”.
  8. I remember and the reason why. Just wasn’t sure of anything outside of that. Yeah I’ll accept it if we were to get Vitello. Props are what they do nowadays and I was mostly being subjective on which ones I think are fine. As for pimping home runs I’ve been game for that since day one.
  9. Right. But it’s the daddy hat for me and other props that can be a bit too much. I think Texas under Pierce had a football helmet? I don’t remember anything else.
  10. The current homerun dugout celebration for Tennessee consist of the player wearing a leopard print(?) cape and a hat that has the word “daddy” on it. I believe they had a giant chain last year. Mullets and mustaches might be the least of our concerns.
  11. It was an opinion not “sourced” information on the latest for Pierce. I initially missed what you wrote under the tweet so I thought you found someone on Twitter that agreed with your own take.
  12. Heard someone call them “off brand nightsisters” but this group has no magic and spouts what the Jedi say about the force, plus or minus a few buzzwords. The group didn’t feel any different than what we’ve seen already from witches in SW.
  13. Yeah, that’s why I’m a little confused. Should probably wait till the series is over or at least until we have a better idea of how the sisters were truly made. I can easily see this turning into how Anakin was made and casting a wider net on the backstory of creating life through the force. If that ends up being the case, they are doing a horrible job of trying to add depth to Anakin’s story.
  14. How exactly did this episode insult George Lucas and Star Wars?
  15. Although I think the criticism is over blown and the show isn’t terrible even with its faults, Andor is possibly the slowest SW show, and is probably the best thing Disney+ has put out for live action (well Mando S1 is great too so 1A-1B). My point is I don’t think the type of show has anything to do with most of the criticism that it is getting.
  16. Episode 3 is better. The second half of the episode picking up the pace helped. But with that said, we’re 3 episodes deep in an 8 episode series and I still don’t feel much has happened with the story. I’d say the character drawing most of my interest is Sol. He’s done a decent job so far. BB grew on me through out the series. Good show overall.
  17. Need a wellness check for @Burt Macklin
  18. What parts of the field never see the sun?
  19. Current political issues have been shown in movies all the time by the directors/writers. We can make a long list of what George did but I feel most here understand that already. Andor even had some in there as well. But good writers don’t feel the need the need to hold the audiences hand and awkwardly explain what point they’re trying to get across. It’s subtlety done in a way that doesn’t hurt the flow of the story.
