Again, to berate the point as Lobo is wont to do...

Men are a nasty problem for women.  I try my best to be an ally coming from a female household of 4 and now two daughters of my own.  We are the absolute worst thing to ever happen to women, bar none.  But I still, 8 years later, watch in awe as women I know and respect and love line up to cow-tow to Trump and MAGA-ism and I still just don't fucking get it.  I get there are older women, mothers usually, who have conservative and religious principles.  My wife is a shining example of that, but I have female relatives and friends and business associated that would stand online for hours to just be in his essence.  And what's more, I have younger cousins and know daughters of friends who would see an online dating profile of some MAGA dipshit and instead of swiping away, would gleefully reply, "Oh hey strong guy, let's meet up later this week."  I just don't fucking get it.  There are women who vote Republican and have for generations in my family, and it was for a value set that has been cast aside.  But there are millions of 20 and 30 something females in our country who not only want to date MAGA men, but also view their contemporaries who don't feel the same way as demonic sluts who traffic humans and fentanyl.  Men are horrible.  But the women enabling this movement are beyond the pale, IMO.  Y'all need to have a meeting.

Sadly….. most women who live in red states who also happen to have husbands or boyfriends and particularly live in the south are told by their husbands or boyfriends how to vote. When they get in their husband or bf’s pickup truck on the way to go vote, you know the husband or bf is lobbying hard for the MAGA.

Oh good lord, some of you are old. It’s not that hard to find someone on social media via a dating profile.

And let’s be real - the more MAGA you are, the more likely you are advertising it via something insane like a gun pic or a red hat on your profile. They don’t know how to be anything but their political affiliation

I would also add asking for a social, like instagram, is a way to verify before meeting. So much of dating apps are bots/fake crypto bros, plus the proliferation of AI filtered pics

Lots of people don’t participate in social media tho.

Probably  it cannot be a coincidence that the RNC is suffering while Trump pulled in hundreds of millions after 2020.

And those tens of millions spent defending Trump could have been used for candidates,

Then again, these people might not have been motivated to donate to the RNC.

Don’t forget the Republican Party at its core is based on greed and selfishness. The people who run red states would rather see the poorer or less fortunate in life folks who live in their states suffer than simply expand Medicaid. They’d rather own a black guy ( Obama) then let poor people go to the doctor and get smaller problems fixed or addressed before they become bigger problems which further burdens the overall healthcare system. They’d rather see rural hospitals go under.

the party is literally “ I have mine or am happy with mine.  Screw you. Get out of my way. Cut my taxes as low as possible so I can contribute to society as little as possible. Leave my family and me alone while we go buy our second yacht with the tax cut money we just saved”.

you’re probably right. I know they’ve talked about getting rid of on campus polling stations, for student safety / less likely a mass shooting happens. they knew that wouldn’t fly, so I believe college campuses can only have one polling station and no early voting

Since when does hot wheels Abbott and potty Patrick worry about school shootings?  They just shrug their shoulders, send their meager thoughts and prayers, and go about their business like nothing happened.

sounds like a convenient excuse or a ruse to prevent people they don’t like from voting.

3rd month in a row of rents falling on a nationwide basis. If you paid any attention at all to inflation, a huge part of the problem was rents rapidly increasing during and especially after the pandemic.

I think inflation was just the “hang over” of covid and it’s really starting to subside now which is great news for Biden.

This is the map as it stands to me and honestly it is going to take a significant change in economic fundamentals or a major black swan event to change it. I think the only real hot take is I think NC is another legitimate tossup. Continues to be a leader inward migration and it's more of the garden variety HCOL market professional relocating than being a MAGA beacon like TX or FL.

The economic fundamentals actually scream comfortable Biden reelection, but we're in a very polarized environment, he got caught holding the bag on inflation, the impossible Israel-Palestine situation is flaring up, and he's 117 years old. People really hate Donald Trump though and I buy that the electorate will start to remember that more intensely as he gets more media coverage and it becomes crystal clear to the average American that we're running it back.

160mm voters and it probably comes down to < 100k aggregate votes in a few of these tossup states again. Democracy!

I really really don’t  like Trumps chances in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

As for Arizona,  the GOP haven’t been able to win seemingly anything since they shit on John McCain. They are unbelievably incompetent.

as for Georgia, Biden only won it by 10k and it seems to be gop at heart. I just have a feeling that it might snap back to the GOP this time before demographics start to turn that state more blue.

seems like the democrats always fuck up in North Carolina. Things look good. We get excited and then…..disappointment

Same story for the GOP with Nevada tho.

Just a guess but if you note the peak decline in coincides with the great recession (no work available) lagging just a bit, and then picks back up accordingly.

Though, the troubles in Venezuela are very real.

2008-2015 was probably the worst time in history to try and find a job. I remember I was in college and asked about getting a job at GameStop and they showed me 100 applications in the drawer and I said never mind.

Yeah, I think this is accurate. I get the feeling he's going to go even deeper into the culture war stuff.

Conservatives who celebrate his agenda and accomplishments are idiots. Any governor can ram just about any policy thru with the super majorities he has.  It’s like a varsity team celebrating being able to run the ball all over a team of 7th graders.

lot of FL R's turned their back on him. he's going to be out for revenge

plus he's going to lose the diseny lawsuit

He’s going to take out his frustrations on that poor state and he’s a mightily frustrated dude. We might see shit like the great gatsby and Tom Sawyer banned in Florida soon. Who knows how crazy Desantis can get.

What is the status of that putz-wipe coward Hawley in Missouri?  Is he going to win?

Unfortunately he’s safe. After he beat mccaskill, he probably won’t see a close race again.  Missouri has gotten redder and redder over time.

Years ago I turned down an offer to meet up with the Sons of the American Revolution because it was being held in a conference room of a local nursing home. There's definitely no way I'm meeting up with a congressional candidate at a fucking funeral home.

Hosted by folks with the last name Slay and event taking place in a funeral home?  GOP is so weird.

Desantis couldnt even make it a week longer than Vivek. Trump destroyed that little bitch Ron without even having to really even acknowledge him. No new nicknames. No making him tongue his ass on live TV, while Casey worked the front side. Nothing. Desantis is such a fucking loser he torpedoed himself. Haley wont be far behind. The only thing I was looking forward to in this whole shitshow of an election season was GQP primary comedy, and we're getting none of it. This is bullshit, I feel cheated.

Will there be a Trump vs Haley debate now that Desantis dropped out?

It’s being signed by the governor. +1 seat for D, -1 seat for R

Surprised Louisiana R governor was cool with it.  He could’ve raised a stink and tried to fight it, but I think the Cajuns made the right move by avoiding the inevitable embarrassment of losing in court over and over and over again like Alabama did.

  14. I really hope Dan Quinn finds another job elsewhere or isn’t retained. You just can’t lose a game like that to a 9-8 team who barely made the playoffs and not make some major changes. Running the whole thing back is the dumbest thing ever.

It’s possible.  I’m still shocked Trump barely squeaked out 50%.

Nikki is running for 2028.  Ron is running for…Casey.

The good news for Biden is that Trump will go hard at Nikki and Ron’ and trash them and their supporters as RINOs. That’ll leave a mark that doesn’t scrub away easily. There’s already been Nikki and Ron supporters who were on CNN, etc. and then got trashed by MAGA on their social media accounts, and it’ll only get worse.

Casey desantis’s nickname is Walmart Barbie right?

Well the LA Senate didn't care about Mike Johnson being a bitch.  Passed the Senate 27-11 and heads to the LA House.

It is going to be the map.

Don’t get what Mike Johnson was thinking here.  We all saw what happened in Alabama. The LA Republican governor supports the new map. They would lose in court anyway.

Johnson was probably better off staying quiet and cutting his losses because now he just looks like an idiot.
