  1. Reactionary fans are not really all that smart, they think they are but in the end they are no better than drunken animals. I thought Charlie needed to go after just his second game, difference is that I reached the conclusion rationally and was pretty much correct. Same for Rick Barnes after 04. I do wish we had Greg Robinson on the back pocket again though, that was the greatest panic fix I have ever seen on defense.
  2. 2004 lost only one game though 12-0 to the Sooners, of course the fanbase went ballistic after squeezing by Mizzou (Mack fired!,VY to WR!) but that team was nuts, they had IT even then. I have no doubt that they could have crushed OU in Jan, and maybe upset the Trojans if they got lucky. On the Chris Sims years I like 02 best, nothing like spanking Saban in the bowl game.
  3. Mack built two separate beast teams 04-05 and 08-09. Had there been a CFP (and no injuries sigh) all 4 years could have won the playoff
  4. If they end up leading to to the arrest of all the clowns for perjury, then they might.
  5. But it negates the argument that they are trying to coast with a weak SOS CFB scheduling has three glaring holes. A) it is done years in advance, meaning an entire organization from the coaches on down can be screwed from literally no fault of their own. 2017 UCF had no choice in the matter and they did demand a tougher schedule in the playoffs. B) Scheduling is not fair and schools get blacklisted C) Scheduling 3 teams only and predicting how good they are is difficult so far in advance. The solution is simple 8 team playoffs and a spot reserved for the most deserving G5, have them host their own playin game.
  6. This is ridiculous and you know it, 2017 UCF flat out said we "we demand to increase our SOS by playing the #1 seed in the playoff" the committee said no, and they embarrassed the system regardless. They should sue and put every single CFB head honcho under oath vs Congress. Let them sweat.
  7. Blacklisting aside, I am pretty sure that unless you have scheduled Alabama you are crapshooting, scheduling 8 years in advance and demanding a consistent schedule is BS. ND can do it because they schedule a lot of OOC teams. In short don't cry a river for UCF but don't argue with a straight face that the system is fair.
  8. I really like Orlando's system but tackling is a self admitted weakness, playing prevent might as well be handing the ball at their 20, and that is best case scenario.
  9. The team is overachieving for sure and I loathe to make predictions more than one game away. That said I was still high on them even after Tulsa this team has an identity that is pretty unique in the current landscape. There won't be any blowouts, not with Sam's injury we really have to cut down his run plays even if drastically affects the offense, reinjuring that shoulder is a legit worry.
  10. I saw some ESPN YouTube video where machines put that team as the greatest of the BCS era, all I have to say is that re: Miami 2001 is that they are #2 and that has nothing to do with their NFL talent.
  11. The best thing about netting Lebron James is that Lakers fans can now settle the Kobe vs Lebron debate. The king has big shoes to fill for the P&G.
