  2. Yup. The Invincibles in 2004 and The In-Vince-ables the year after in ‘05. The two greatest teams, ever, in EPL and CFB. We got to relish in their glory consecutive years. You’d have thought the pain since inflicted by Sports Gods would have evened the scales.
  3. The way Ben pulled up just looked serious. I feel really, really bad for Ben. He put his body (and likely his career) on the line in the 2nd half of 23-24, playing through injury and pain to try and win the League.
  4. Awful performance. Three points. Onward.
  5. We arent winning anything until someone solves the annual injury crises.
  6. Had the chances to put this to bed. Fucked around and found out.
  7. Flukey, but I’ll take it. COME ON YOU GUNNERS
  8. 0.43 xG in 1H against a winless club bottom of the table. Not great Bob.
  9. And we’ve lost Benny White. Again. Seriously, fuck this shit.

  11. Gyökeres has a skillset unique among our attackers: No one else in the squad consistently makes direct runs at toward the opposing goal, always “riding defender’s shoulder” to get in behind, and makes those runs all match long. This pulls the defense out of shape and creates space for everyone else, as noted in the post. All these injuries (and sporting’s fuckery this summer) have meant the cohesion among still isn’t quite there. But to will be. And when it is… On a recent Handbrake episode, they demo’d their songs for players who didn’t have one yet, and this was Amy Lawrence’s submission. Looks like it stuck. 😄
  12. Predictions: Alo, Ver, Nor. Adrian Newey has had 18 months with little to do but think, study, and develop for the 2026 regs. If he delivers Nando a car, and I’m not betting against him, we’ll have another member in the Three WDC Club.
  13. Yep, we’re cursed.
  14. Let’s face it: we’re never going win anything until we figure out why we’re so plagued with injuries every season. Now Trossard (who has arguably been our most influential player) likely is going to be gone for a time. Again.
