  1. Looked it up. Jones played Yates within one score twice and Madison and W-O Stark were 13. Every other win was at least 19 points. State final was 37-0. This was one of the years they did beat Madison. They lost 9 games in 6 years and 4 or 5 were to Madison (they would play before district and several times in playoffs) along with 3 losses deep in the playoffs. Madison had Broderick Thomas, Nebraska All America and longtime NFL player during several of those years. Their best team until VY came along.
  2. See post 3470 on page 70 by Texex15.
  3. Well other than Ehlinger, we haven't had a QB since Colt who could hit 70% of his passes without any defense.
  4. That 2nd angle at 8:26 on the highlights makes it look like the spot was right.
  5. Quinn was 23 for 29 including those last two misses. He could have been better, but he wasn't bad until that last drive. He was completing 85%.
  6. Win our next 6 and we are almost certain to be in the playoff. There will be some losses ahead of us. Just take care of the games one at a time.
  7. Polls doing their late season sync. AP and Coaches same for top 21 except coaches have Alabama ahead of Oregon, Ole Miss ahead of Oregon St. and Tennessee ahead of Duke. Last 4 are the same schools, but coaches have USC, Tulane, UCLA, JMU while writers have it Tulane, UCLA, USC, JMU.
  8. It was 21-7, not 21-0. But 24-7 is 3 scores. 21-7 and giving them the momentum is just stupid. There was only 2:33 left in the half, so we weren't likely to get the ball back in good field position.
  9. I think Malik is better than Quinn was last year.
  10. SEC rarely calls holding on running plays, but they will sometimes on passing plays. They rarely call late hits.
  11. by giving it to the kicker? Making it a 3 score game is the right move instead of 4th & 6.
  12. On the previous play their TE fell to the 9. They could have given him that spot. You couldn't tell for sure if his knee was down from the TV camera angle before he stretched to the 9. I think it was right at the 10, but if it got called the other way, it might not have been overturned. That 2nd angle on the next play made it look like the spot was right.
  13. He was 23-29 and that included missing those last 2 throws. So he was fine most of the game.
  14. Announcers FOS. The angle that wasn't from the back showed the spot at the 9 1/2 was perfect.
  15. He seemed to be holding it together on the pain.
  16. BS penalty. He didn't hit him. He just lost his balance. Was that Ford again who blocked out defender and then missed the tackle???
  17. They showed him going into the locker room.
  18. Well Ford took out the DB on that play.
  19. Man, on that 2nd down it looked like Ewers or the RB could have just walked around left end and walked into the end zone. There were no defenders over there. Ewers seems to have happy feet today, throwing before he needs to. Not trying to hit narrow windows.
  20. Well the defender was going for the ball, so they usually let that slide even though the collision was pretty early.
  21. Why do you think he is called 7 win Sark? Low % call. Passing on the FG with 2:33 in the half to make it a 3 score game while trying to make 6 yards with the slowest player on your team was another bonehead call.
  22. Pac is suing 2 former executives. According to Wilner, court documents show that the Pac owes Comcast $72 million from overpayments.
  23. More stupid Wilner shit. Kliavcoff said USC and UCLA had relinquished their board position. That is not an opinion on whether they needed to. It is factual. They quit coming. Later he said the members need to decide how to interpret the bylaws. Again, he wasn't taking an opinion. He was staying neutral. Wilner is reading stuff he wants to in it, just like he has been for the last couple years.
