  1. Not saying I necessarily disagree, but shouldn't the fact that we are the richest program in the country imply that we have more guys who are richer, and so we need less from them to be rich? My (distant) second team is Auburn, and I imagine they have to invite Jimmy Rane over multiple times a year, cradle the balls, and stroke the shaft just to get some of those beaucoup YellaWood bucks. But that isn't us.
  2. So, combining this with what I heard about us having juniors and seniors, it sure seems like he's saying they aren't leaders.
  3. This is speculation on my part, but I think if some self-awareness and self-reflection were demonstrated by those representing UT during the interview process, it would alleviate many the concerns of the coaches being interviewed
  4. Not saying I agree with you, but I do like that he seems to be flexible with his scheme with respect to his personnel. I don't like that he seems to be addicted to risk taking, both on and off the field.
  5. I would argue that the culture problem is exactly why we aren't as attractive as we think we are or should be.
  6. This whole conversation reminds me of the question, "Are you a schemer or a teacher?" https://thedailycoach.substack.com/p/are-you-a-schemer-or-a-teacher So far, it doesn't seem like PK is much of a teacher.
  7. I didn't realize only a 4-2-5 based defense would allow our personnel to hold a QB sneak under 8 yards against a 1-8 Kansas with one of the worst offenses in the FBS. Oh well, I'm sure that'll be fixed once PK has his guys
  8. The cynic in me assumes that the powers that be will turn up their nose to Jimmy Lake
  9. Maybe it's just me, but seeing our coaches in the Veterans Day gear reminded me of this
  10. I don't remember every game, and I know we had a RRS laugher in there, but I don't think Harsin was ever a liability at Texas
  11. I wonder what Will Muschamp would say about that play...
  12. If we never utilized them, why does it matter that we lost them?
  13. I know you're being sarcastic, but consider this. Those teams have never lost 5-star players like we have. Advantage, them, I think
  14. He currently has zero production for a 3-4 USC
  15. But I was told the players are loser pussies?
  16. This has been said before, but it is quite odd. I've assumed that, to some extent, Sark is the "head coach" of the offense, while PK is the "head coach" of the defense. But that doesn't make sense. What head coach doesn't hire his assistants?
  17. Maybe as part of the psychological prep this week, he showed the team a screening of Solo: A Star Wars Story
  18. I mean, who of us knows what's happening with complete certainty? Maybe the players are independently going through chemotherapy or developing fibromyalgia in the locker room at the half, but from what I can see on my TV, the coaches bear plenty of the blame.
  19. "But when I'm playing there, we're gonna give Baylor and Oklahoma State all they can handle!"
  20. It blows my mind that people can care about one of these things but not both. Winning football games is the only reason people give a shit about photos of Gardere and DJ. In ten years, are they gonna be bragging to their neighbors about some selfies with Garrett Gilbert and James Kirkendoll?
  21. The irony is that I interpreted this to mean that the admin is trying to sabotage the program. Guess we're at a crossroads
