Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
Bobby can reach out to anyone on most staffs inside the UT AD. It’s symbiotic and he’s not tied any single person anywhere within the org.

He doesn’t speak for me, sir. He misused “their” for “there” and that’s a faux pas that I simply cannot abide.

Negative Recruiting Your Own School: The aggy Screenshot Megathread
Imagine if it was worse than that. Imagine if those clowns were business partners and witless people with access continued to hand info to fatass who then funneled it over to Liucci and the aggie AD.

Texas Offseason 2025 - Archmania Is Upon Us
Cowherd is a college football know-nothing. He states in that bit that Georgia blew out Texas twice and then doubled down on that take and said they humiliated Texas twice. Huh? Texas was within one score in the 4th in the 1st game and then missed a FG to win the second one that led to OT. He didn’t need to watch the games to know better. Just read a fucking box score or something, guy. No one is blown out in a game that is finished in OT.

OU Football 2025 - Cheated Its Way To a Backdoor CFP Appearance
Here's an article quoting all of the things that Venables said to the local okie writers at SEC Media Days today, spoilered below. Highlights: -His response about working with Nagy is awesome. He talks for awhile without saying anything. The awkwardness in that dynamic jumps off the page. -He clearly knows that WR Javonnie Gibson will not be ready to return to the lineup before the season starts. Dude just got out of his boot. -The TE room is awesome, apparently. If he really believes that, he's the dumbest HC on the planet. -Overall, he just sounds overwhelmed.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
I have a weird twitter feed, same as weird Amazon music and Apple newsfeed because I'm kind of a tiger shark of interests, I'll consume almost anything and everything at some point. I'm pretty sure it's because I follow different Michigan posters, especially a couple of hot CFB Michigan fans who always post in bikinis or showing cleavage (one of the best Twitter follows I have is some blond lawyer lady named Michelle who seems like she's almost always in a bikini talking about Michigan sports - sue me), as well as I follow different food people, including pizza fans. He often pops up with whatever he's saying about Michigan or pizza. I loathe the guy and feel like I've muted almost every barstool handle possible, but they appear to have endless handles within their ranks. This is a weird attempt at gaslighting. More food pedantry, thank the lord! Negged for not reading the room repeatedly and whining about negs.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
I admittedly only really encounter McAfee during Gameday or some other thing leading into a live sporting event, so maybe that's why he doesn't freak me out the way apparently many people are with him on this board. Portnoy? I run into him on Twitter, or his stupid cronies, way more than my reading habits say I should. I see his fucking face in articles in my Apple feed as well. I have tried to mute and/or ignore that bigmouthed clown as much as possible. If it wasn't for low class, he wouldn't have any class at all. Fuck that show. I'm no longer in the young crowd and I am not a lowest common denominator viewer or buyer. I view the guy as an addition to Gameday and entertaining. I never watched wrestling and I don't watch his show. I know for a fact, however, that I am not a user group of one. Do you know how I know that? Gameday ratings jumped by adding that guy. There's a reason they keep upping the ante to keep him around on there, as well. He's "widening the tent" when it comes CFB interest and viewership. Grumble all you want, but he's doing more good than harm when it comes to CFB. Quality safeties can be found in the portal every year, unlike DTs and LBs, at least in volume. I'm interested in seeing whether they want to battle on this one or feel content to pursue other options that open up in their senior cycle and/or the portal.

Transfer Cycle 2025-2026 - Pining For IOLs Who Can Fog A Mirror
That dude was a small TB from San Antonio. Think he had a kid or two and ultimately decided he couldn't be away from them or some such. That whole 90 minutes between Austin and SA was just too much.

OU Recruiting 2026: Burnt Vegetables
Guys, do not click on the spoiler below if you're worried about elevating your heart rate or laughing so hard that your head explodes. The thread I'm pasting has everything in it. It's amazing. They're starting to really lean in to the "Nagy is playing chess, everyone else is playing checkers" storyline as a rationalization for how shitty recruiting is going. The original poster actually posted the OU 5 star history as a means of explaining that 5 stars are generally overrated. I laughed out loud. I sometimes forget how genuinely stupid the majority of the OU fanbase is. Anyway, this thread checked every box in the game of recruiting bullshit bingo:

Sub-Educated Cretins: The SEC screenshot mega-thread
More Georgia bawling and shit talking. This thread was created and linking to Texas mouthbreather on 247. I will say, Georgia certainly acts entitled for a program no one gave two fucks for most of their existence outside of the Hershel Walker years (I've never heard a single person discuss their title or Heisman winner in 1942). They've been a middling program for almost the entirety of their existence and then they're on their site calling us little brother. Uh, we're not related, you redneck dipshits. Thanks. Also, no formatting. I'm not related to any of you, either.

I posted twice with spoilers of their hilarious whining from UGA 247, but did so on the Texas 2026 thread.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
More hilarity from the same thread. Apparently, Texas doesn't develop talent and the only reason anyone wants to come to Texas is because they're forced to against their will but the money cannot be denied.

It's not a good time to be a fan over at the Georgia 247 site. Spoilered and poorly formatted because I just copied it, but to those who enjoy:

This story reminds of the time I had lunch with Wulaw. Or at least, what I assume was his aftermath. This is just outstanding, sir.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
They're different players, IMO. Atkinson is more of a pure LB. He's allegedly going to be great in coverage, he's a missile towards the ball, and he's a true sideline to sideline guy with amazing instincts. Not that Hill doesn't fit some of that, but Hill is substantially bigger and he's a special pass rusher. Hill's still got work to do in coverage, although it's stretch to imply that he's not already good at it. Justin Williams? That guy was more of a comp for Hill than Atkinson. He was praised as a OLB blitzer and needed work on reads/awareness/instincts. Atkinson is a pure LB. He can blitz, but he's best in the second level, using what are said to be amazing instincts for reading plays and being a tackling machine. He's a fucking witch on the field already. Gun to my head, I'm taking Hill over either guy, then Atkinson, then Williams. Hill has the instincts and the elite blitzing talent. Atkinson is a little shorter than Derrick Johnson was, but they're otherwise the same recruit - pure LBs with blitzing skills, but they're going to clean up and disrupt behind the front 3/4. I'm not saying that Atkinson will be a CFB HoFer or a borderline NFL HoFer, but if you're looking for comps as it relates to Texas, I'd pick Johnson over Hill or Justin Williams. That's just one guy's POV.

Texas Offseason 2025 - Archmania Is Upon Us
Finebaum is quite simply just gushing over Manning on his show. Dvoracek and Kubenick followed suit. Gushing. This year could be outlandish if Manning lives up to his hype on the field. They said they’d never seen a media throng like this at SEC Media Days ever. This is a hell of a time to be a fan of Texas. As many of us should know, don’t take it for granted.

Guys, you’re falling into a Wulaw trap here. Of course rotel is fine. I have Pappasito’s queso with ground beef in my fridge as I type this. None of that is related to what multiple posters witnessed and have attested to on this site. This guy took 1 part queso and 3 parts salsa, mixed them into the salsa bowl with his finger and then went to work on a bowl of chips. I dare you to attempt that combo and stay composed the next time you go to a tex mex restaurant. Like I said, the man committed a culinary atrocity and should be prosecuted for war crimes. @SydneyCarton @RGBIII @Cocinero

Texas Recruiting Notes 2026: Boulevard of Broken Bagmen
The way you downplay your behavior is never not funny to me. What you committed that day was an atrocity and I cannot unsee it. It still sends shivers down my spine, 4 years to more or less the day later. Also, I am not a brisket snob. I know there are a lot here, but I am not one of them. I love BBQ and I am easy to please with it. Lincoln Riley's brisket can get fucked, but inside of that is still a lot of good shit that people here hate on in the food forum.
