  1. Right. What we don't know is how many of the infected are basically recovered but just waiting for confirmation, versus how many are on death's door.
  2. The numbers I've been watching (in addition to the exponentially increasing infection count) are number of deaths compared to number of recoveries. In mainland China, 170 people have died, while only 124 people have recovered. So, out of the 294 people who have seen this thing to its end, ~60% died. That's pretty sobering. That rate is certainly impacted by timing. Death can happen quickly, while recovery may take weeks or months. If the fatality rate is really as low as people are saying (2-3% is what I've read), then over the next few weeks, we should see the # recovered far surpass the # of deaths. But that's a presumption, and only time will tell. As of now, we don't know what the fatality rate will be.
  3. Same. Almost every day I flip through the national news channels and locals to see if there is any coverage, and I haven't seen any yet. I'm sure it's being covered, but it isn't being given the attention it deserves.
  4. The suspected Texas case is in Bryan College Station. https://www.fox4news.com/news/texas-patient-being-tested-for-suspected-case-of-coronavirus The safest course is to nuke it from orbit.
  5. Music to be murdered by. Really digging it so far. Good workout tracks.
  6. The Evans recruitment is such a clusterfuck. I'm so glad we got Bijan. He doesn't bring baggage/drama, is genuinely excited to play here, and by all accounts is a great human being.
  7. What a beautiful moment in Texas football history. He was carrying that ball so loosely that I was sure it would be stripped. But somehow he held on.
  8. Our 2008 team would beat* at least half the teams on that list. * Assuming we're not playing against Crabtree on Halloween night.
  9. He looked really, really, really good. I've watched every U.S. Army game since 2006 and every UA game since the first one, and I don't drink the cool aid. I watch specifically for UT recruits and generally come away disappointed. It's just hard to showcase athleticism with only a few days of practice and a bunch of guys who have never played together before. But Card was different. He really stood out. I don't remember a quarterback in this game with a faster release and more accurate pass than him. Honestly, he reminded me a lot of Colt with his zip, accuracy, and ability to extend plays with his feet. And I don't say that lightly. He would see a receiver going across the middle, and boom, the ball was in the receiver's hands. Even with good coverage, he was finding windows and fitting the ball in where only his receiver could get it. And in high school. I'm really excited to see what he can do here.
  10. Who is fill in coordinator? Sorry, I'm sure it's in this thread already.
  11. I'm confused as to why some of our guys didn't blitz. It was as if they were staying back in case Utah tried to pass.
  12. They met on a dating app. They didn't directly know each other, but Bacon had shared his profile not only with friends, but also with friends of friends, and then their friends, etc. So he was able to connect to Bacon by going through a chain of acquaintences. Scary stuff.
  13. Apparently he doesn't know that Brian College Station is in Texas. /aggy
  14. His football iq / vision / decision-making is just as impressive as his accuracy, and that's saying a lot. One little mistake on defense, and he'll see it and exploit it. He'll keep plays alive with his feet and wait until someone comes open.
  15. Let me guess: aggy guaranteed the money even if Evans doesn't sign? Oh, aggy....
  16. I like reddit's take: "Store Brand Red River Shootout"
  17. Open field tackling is coaching. Scheme is also coaching, albeit not on the position coach. My point is that those guys have the talent to play lights out, and our coaching staff is a big reason for their struggles.
  18. A couple of our dbs would if they had a top-3 quality position coach.
