  1. I remember earlier in the year that Gerry Hamilton was cautious about how good a RB prospect Wisner was because he wanted see how Wisner would perform going from playing at the 4A level at Waco Connally up to 6A level at DeSoto. Looks like Hamilton was right.
  2. Watching the IT livestream from a couple hours ago and Bobby Burton, Gerry Hamilton, & Ian Boyd are having a good discussion on getting experienced players from the transfer portal vs. going through the growing pains of developing High School recruits. Definitely would make more sense to process Wisner to have an open portal spot.
  3. Co-sign. Wisner is the 1st commit I think of when I think about who's gonna be processed next. Earlier this week, some of y'all suggested that Dylan Spencer might be processed because of the fake decommit rumors about him. I looked up his MaxPreps stats & on3 profile page and said "no fuccing way"!! With his great flexible size (At 6"4 241 lbs, He could be a Jack EDGE or grow into a DT) & how productive he is at 2 different Texas 6A level programs, I can't see Spencer being processed.
  4. Sigh. Listening to the Horns247 Recruiting podcast that dropped today and Roach & Standish are talking about they had multiple commitment stories ready to drop this past weekend. But the disappointing UT loss to TCU stalled those commitments from happening. Looks like getting Deuce Robinson is gonna be an uphill battle. When does finally offer the Pimpton kid from North Crowley?
  5. His senior season stats listed on MaxPreps, other than YPC, are unimpressive: https://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/deandre-moore/Qb_nCPrjyE22JG54oozj8g/football/stats.htm His junior season stats are also unimpressive: https://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/deandre-moore-jr/7Vnq7Qj0CEOYFmV8EOQQFQ/football/stats.htm With Moore being considered a consensus national top 100 recruit that played for 2 different top Cali programs that both had blue-chip QBs throwing to him, those unimpressive stats really look bad.
  6. Are you sure? Whenever I've watch DeSoto highlights this season, I never notice Wisner.
  7. UT recruited Spencer as a DT. Bo David has always been he's primary recruiter. @HtownHorn When you posted "Spencer is JACK, Walton is a DE", I think you meant "Walton is a Buck".
  8. Johnny Bowens announced on his IG page that he will be visiting for the TCU-UT game tomorrow night.
  9. Anybody with a The Athletic sub, can you post this article?:
  10. Why does everyone assume Cojoe would be processed out of the class?
  11. Gerry Hamilton mentioned earlier today that he considers Ja'Kobi Lane, the low 4-star USC WR commit from AZ visiting for the TCU-UT game, to be a better X WR prospect than Jonan Wilson.
  12. Can someone post this IT recruiting notebook on Jelani McDonald?: https://www.on3.com/teams/texas-longhorns/news/notebook-2023-ath-jelani-mcdonald/
  13. Watching the OB livestream about Vasek's commitment & Ketch is talking about this stat again, but I was slightly wrong about the height in my previous post, so.... correction: Since the start of internet recruiting era (i.e. the 2002 recruiting cycle), 54.6% of 6'4 (or taller) blue-chip EDGE recruits from the state of Texas ended up being NFL draft picks. Of those players who were 6'6 or taller, 75% ended up being drafted.
  14. Watching yesterday's OB Monday Overreaction livestream and Ketch says he considers Vasek a borderline 5-star recruit & that Vasek is even better prospect than Ethan Burke was last recruiting cycle. Anyways, do we know if Vasek will be an EE?
  15. Any of y'all worried about Ford or Watts entering the NFL draft after this season?
  16. Yep, I ranted about this all offseason. UT trying to get a safety in the Portal this past winter/spring didn't make sense to me becuz UT was going to have plenty of bodies to throw at the position in Fall camp. What UT didn't have enough of is outside cover CBs. Thankfully Watts & Jamieson have been mostly healthy this season. Guilbeau is too slow straight line speed-wise to be an outside CB. He's a Nickel/Safety all the way.
  17. Anybody this morning's inside scoop?: https://www.on3.com/teams/texas-longhorns/news/inside-scoop-eyes-on-two-area-committed-prospects-markis-deal-newest-2024-offer-and-hoops-recruiting/
  18. In response to this news, Nahlin says to reread the 2nd-to-last paragraph from this article he put out last week: https://www.on3.com/teams/texas-longhorns/news/reminder-shift-to-late-cycle-alters-recruiting-approach/ @Hookem2147 or someone else, can you post it?
  19. Y'all think Jaylan Ford or Ryan Watts will enter the NFL draft after the season? Both of them are big difference makers for the defense.
