  1. I was really hoping Card would stick around for Spring Football.
  2. The folks in the '23 recuiting thread who've been speculating that the committed TE from Mater Dei was candidate to be processed look foolish now. That TE can step right into Karic's role.
  3. The fact that a 2nd year player like Harris wasn't in the 2-deep despite the perceived lack of quality upperclassmen EDGE players on the roster wasn't a good sign for him.
  4. Co-sign. This is why I've felt Ja'Kobi Lane would be a priority take over the other High School WRs UT is recruiting.
  5. Makes sense. I was surprised to rewatch Dorbah's high school highlights months ago & find out that Dorbah didn't even play EDGE in High School. He was 4i 3-4 DE in High School. I can't see him have any success on the FBS level because because he sucks at EDGE & he's too small to play the position he played in High School. He might wanna try transferring to an FCS school.
  6. Do y'all agree with this comparison? From what I remember, Duvernay was a more polished WR coming outta High School.

  8. Can someone post this IT inside scoop?: https://www.on3.com/teams/texas-longhorns/news/inside-scoop-texas-is-gearing-up-for-portal-madness/ @Hookem2147
  9. Watching today's OB Overreaction Monday show and Ketch & Anwar are discussing that it sounds like Sark took subtle shots at Billingsley during today's presser when Sark mentioned something about being careful about bringing in portal guys who automatically expect to start when that isn't a guarantee.
  10. Despite the fact that JWhitt is arguably the fastest player on the team when clocked in the off-season, Whitt has never shown he's a deep threat WR that can take the top off a defense. So he can't replace Worthy.
  11. So that 1 insider poster from IT, Hookah Horns, posted that Xavier Worthy is telling people he plans to transfer to USC or Bama.
  12. @BurntOrange&White You're forgetting that Nahlin did report on changes were made to S&C program earlier this year. I believe they ended up consulting a UT alum who is a Hall of Fame S&C coach or athlete.
  13. LOL. CTJ this is what Scipio Tex wrote on how the UT defensive staff fixed the issue of Oghuofo get dominated early in the Baylor game: A great group effort from all of the interior guys, but the insertions of Collins and Ojomo on the edge with DMO on the opposite edge firing in at SAM linebacker changed the complexion of the defense. Oghoufo was having trouble holding up to the volume of outside runs and this was also degrading his pass rush. Substitution and a scheme tweak solved the problem. Alfred Collins had 4 tackles, a sack (he pushed his OL into a scrambling Shapen) and two big pressures. Moro Ojomo was also extremely active, notching 7 overall tackles including an early hustle tackle for no gain on a 3rd and 8 midfield run that had Baylor gotten a few positive yards, would have led to a 4th down conversion attempt and quite possibly a scoring drive. A fresh Oghoufo was reinserted late and pass rushed well in the late 4th quarter.
  14. Did he not the memo that his son left the program or something?
  15. Can some post the info that IT out about Rylan Kennedy?: https://www.on3.com/teams/texas-longhorns/news/texas-longhorns-post-game-recruiting-intel/ & Also can someone post Hudson Standish's recruiting notes from Yesterday?: https://247sports.com/college/texas/Article/Texas-Longhorns-Football-Recruiting-2023-2024-2025-Zina-Umeozulu-Johnny-Bowens-TyAnthony-Smith-198422325/ @Hookem2147
  16. The recruiting subforum has always been a safe havan after UT losses. It's the Football subforum that is insane after UT losses & worth avoiding.
  17. UT coaching staff must really like the young EDGEs on the current roster if they're offering this senior season eval instead of saving a spot for an EDGE in the portal.
  18. This is Sark's 3rd season in his career as Head Coach to win 8 regular season games. He now has as many 8-win seasons as 7-win season in his head coaching career. So it never made sense to me for UT fans to call him 7-win Steve.
