  1. To an extent I feel like Brady could be fools gold for teams. LSU hit the perfect storm getting him and already having someone like Burrow at QB and having the WRs in place. And coach O and Brady have both been pretty vocal that our actual OC is the one running the offense and Brady is making suggestions. And I believe it due to the end of the season last year when they started opening up the offense it looked very similar to how it did all this season. It just feels like they fully committed to it for this whole season and had Brady to help fine tune it. That being said LSU will probably outbid any team coming for him anyway and promote him to OC/ Co OC. For LSU it's a must to keep Brady, for Texas I dont think theres enough proven results for Brady to be a homerun hire like a school like Texas is capable of bringing in.
  2. I forgot how sensitive some of you are. It's been awhile.
  3. LSU fan stopping by to wish you guys good luck. Kick some OU ass. Make em feel like its 2003 again.
  4. I know you dont wanna hear from an LSU asshole right now. But that was easily my favorite LSU game to watch since Bama in 2011. I didnt give that Texas offense enough credit and they exposed parts of our defense. Looking forward to maybe a rematch this year...hopefully our players learn what powerade/Gatorade is. If not then looking forward to Death Valley next year. And like I told people on here this week I was never an LSU fan that expected a legit blow out. I said I'd be happy with LSU winning by even a point. And that game sure a hell didnt disappoint.
  5. People are melting down way too early. Texas has proven they can move the ball. Its mistakes from Texas, dropped TD, not taking the points etc that have this not being a tied or one score game. I fully believe it's a few big plays from either team to win regardless of the score right now.
  6. This is the type of game I thought it would be. But that Texas Dline is the truth. And the Texas offense is better at downfield passing than that I thought. I thought Sam would short pass and screen pass to work down field.
  7. Prove that? That video literally just shows Texas players in the face of one of LSU coaching staff and mocking them while walking off. No one says how it started or who.
  8. From that video you posted it looked like Texas players was getting into shit with LSU coaching staff and that got LSU players involved.
  9. Come on you gotta know that's a weak narrative at this point. Orgeron has said it, Burrow has said it, anyone who watched LSU has said it. But they did a lot of this last year too. They're just more committed to staying with it than determined to run first. Texas is more than capable of slowing down the offense or shutting it down at times but it wont be because they're having issues installing an offense that they've already been doing.
  10. Its because LSU and Texas are very similar but LSU is more experienced and proven as far as the starters that returned. It's not really hatin as much as theres no logical reason to pick Texas to win unless you're a Texas fan.
  11. I exaggerated that final score to go with the joke. Honestly I'd say LSU 38 Texas 23
  12. Last 20 something seconds ball on LSU 34yd line. 3rd and 12 after Divinity tackles Ingram for a loss on 2nd down. Ball snapped, pressure starts getting to Sam, pump fakes and runs for it, getting out of bounds at LSUs 19yd line. Line up, ball is snapped, Sam drops back and lets it go, Eagles brings the ball down in the endzone in front of Stingley. TOUCHDOWN LONGHORNS, GAME OVER. final score, Texas 10 LSU 44
  13. "Whoever loses is still more relevant than broke back aggys" I gotta get it in while posting to a fan base who hates them even more than us.
  14. I saw someone on here ask how does LSUs dline compared to Georgia because Texas owned them. Well LSUs not good Oline owned them harder. So I'd say LSUs is significantly better. Something else I dont really see brought up is Texas also has more question marks than LSU. LSU returns more starters on both sides of the ball. Yes they're doing a more wide open offense but several of the formations they ran out of they did last year too. It's just they're more committed to keeping with it this year, where as last year they made it known it was run first and normally they wouldnt try to open it up til it was out of hand. I think people are putting too much into the installing a new offense. A lot of it they tried last year just didn't make it primary. And I'd say Texas running game is also a bigger question mark than LSUs with only one legit running back ready to go. I feel like if both teams show up and do their absolute best, that LSU wins by around 10m just because LSU is further ahead of Texas right now. Next year could be different but for this season LSU is further ahead. So I'd say it's more minimizing mistakes to win for both teams.
  15. I'll give you Texas can get pressure on the Oline. But when it comes to Texas Oline vs LSU defense, Texas Oline spends most of the game getting pushed into Sam's lap. I'm not saying that with high belief in LSUs Oline I'm saying it more towards the fact that LSUs Dline should own this matchup.
  16. No one expects them to do what they did last week. We just expect them to be able to be consistent and not disappear during the game.
  17. We get this every year too. Which is kinda redundant last year since Alabama was considered one of the best offenses. But one that especially that stands out was Oregon in 2011. Talking about how LSU has never faced an offense like theirs and they're the most explosive in the country. Or WVU the same year...and the year after it. Louisville with Lamar Jackson.. and so on.
  18. I like this you always got numbers to back up what you're saying and I appreciate it. But those don't always tell the story. Bama was probably the best offense last year in college for the most part and without almost any support from the offense and missing our best player on D for half the game and two of our top 3 beat players for the whole game. And our defense still slowed them down better than anyone until they played Clemson. For Florida they were the only team to just be able to run it down our throats and even then the defense at the end of the game did more than enough to where LSU should've won. Burrow threw a pick 6 then a pick a few plays later to seal it. But even getting torched the defense pulled it together to put them in a position to win without major offense mistakes. And same for Aggys, LSU was in full control of that game from start til right at the end where an aggy mistake got them a redo and that did lead to poor busted coverage. But in OT, I was at a bar with a Notre Dame fan and a few Bama fans and even they can admit there were at least 2 bad missed calls that one led directly to the OT being extended. And a non existent PI call that sealed the game for them. All of those games LSU should've won minus Bama and those were the defenses "weaker" games. Numbers can't tell the whole story. But when it matters more often than not the defense will take over and either seal the game or give the offense a chance. Not saying what you said is invalid because it very well could out to be the case. But for the past few decades, more often than not, unless its bama..*sigh* LSUs defense controls the game.
  19. I'll say you do bring up some good points, our Oline and breaking in a new offense against the Texas defense can be where its won or lost. But if feels like a lot of you if not most of you are selling LSU short. LSU knows how to win without the offense taking over or being dominant. And while it's new schemes it's still stuff a lot of the players have been doing for years with LSU just more variety now. This will be the first time implementing certain specific schemes. But there's still plenty of stuff they've been doing already just opened up more. And a lot of these players have experience doing it against defenses better than Texas like Alabama and Mississippi State last year. Not saying that plays a major role but a lot of the key players have had to do this against good defenses. And minus the Alabama game, worse Olines and lesser running backs have still got it done against better defenses. The reason LSU fans are so confident maybe even to a fault about this game is the same reason we have been for the better part of the last decade. The defense. Boils down to the simplest reason. We believe our defense can shut down that offense better than Texas can shut down LSUs. Point blank. Which sounds like a "no shit" football statement. But that's what it is. We feel our defense is good enough to make up for any stumbling the offense does.
