This is great when fans say coach has to have p4 experience before taking a job at Texas. Miller has 3 years to win a title or he's a fucking bust. -

Gerry Hamilton Moderators 11.7k Moderators Posted 47 minutes ago Texas weekend visitors list The Texas staff are expected to host more than 25 visitors this weekend in the classes of 2026 and 2027. While there are some big names from in-state and out of state that have been on campus prior, this weekend will be a first even visit to campus for a number of top targets. John Turntine III, OT (Fort Worth, Texas/North Crowley) 6-3.5, 275 Texas, Texas A&M and Tennessee are set to battle it out for the OnTexasFootball 5-star OT. The DFW star will be on campus Friday and Saturday. First ever visits to Texas ... Samari Matthews, CB (Cornelius, N.C./Hough) 6-0, 180 Clemson, South Carolina, Texas and Florida State are the main players. Hayward Howard Jr., CB (New Orleans, La./Edna Karr) 6-2, 170 Miami, Florida, Florida State, Texas, Auburn and possibly LSU are the key players here entering the weekend. Damari Simeon, DL (Richland, N.J./St. Augustine) 6-2.5, 275 The Garden State stud will visit Texas for the first time this weekend. The competition is Tennessee, Ohio State, Penn State, Auburn and Texas A&M. Corey Wells, DL (Petal, Miss./High) The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder will very likely set up an OV to Texas after this weekend. Mississippi State has one OV set for June 20-22. James Johnson, DL (Miami, Fla./Northwestern) 6-2.5, 285 This will be Johnson's first visit to Texas. The Longhorns have a lot of ground to make up with Miami, Florida, Georgia in the top three. Penn State and Syracuse are also players on some level. Dre Quinn, EDGE (Norcross, Ga./Greater Atlanta Christian) 6-3, 225 Texas is looking to bump a June official visitor list that includes Tennessee, Georgia, Notre Dame, USC and Georgia Tech. *Note - OTF will add to the key visitors list as the week moves along. KJ Edwards is also visiting which was mentioned in the comments below the above post.

They changed their jalapeno cornbread recipe and it's shit compared to what it was. As you said it's great for serving some chili on top of it or beans(obviously not chili with beans)

Gerry Hamilton Sean Miller establishing 2026 in-state targets Texas head coach Sean Miller made contact with a number of the top in-state prospects in the state Monday. And that includes two legacy recruits in the 2026 cycle that OTF believes the Longhorns lead for. Two talented legacy targets in 2026 ... Austin Goosby, CG, 6-5.5 (Melissa, Texas/High) The younger brother of Trevor Goosby is considered a Texas lean by OTF. A Duke offer could muddy the waters a little, but Texas will be difficult to beat. Sean Miller told Goosby and family on the call Monday that he has a plan for the potential McDonald's All-American and top 35 prospect in the class. Development, culture and fit were at the center point of the conversation. Bo Ogden, G/W, 6-5.5 (Austin, Texas/St. Michael's Catholic) The top 60 ranked prospect in the 2026 cycle made an official visit to Purdue during the season. At the time, my belief is tht Ogden would likely end up at Purdue or Tennessee. Those thoughts have no changed. Texas is the team to beat. Other 2026 in-state Sean Miller offers to know ... Daari Spear, CG, 6-4 (The Colony, Texas/High) Alabama, Texas, Texas Tech, SMU and Tennessee mentioned most headed into the May "live" period. Davion Atkins, PF, 6-8 (Dallas, Texas/Faith Family Academy) Texas, SMU, Kansas, Houston, Texas Tech, Oregon and TCU among the 14 offers. Billy White, F, 6-7 (Corpus Christi, Texas/Veterans Memorial) White has been on campus multiple times, and was arguably a Texas lean early in the season. A fantastic perimeter shooter at this size that has Texas, Tennessee, SMU and Texas A&M at the top of the list of more than 10 offers. -

CJ Vogel Week 3 of spring football begins tomorrow morning as the Longhorns take the field for practice No. 7. A few nuggets over the weekend that I picked up on the mini scrimmage/team period from practice No. 6. *** – WR Daylan McCutcheon found the end zone over the middle of the field during the team setting. Route running continues to be a strength for the early enrollee who has continued to see time with the first unit. – A pair of nuggets on the RB room. RB Christian Clark has been making some noise this spring after recovering from an Achilles injury last fall. The staff is keeping Clark pretty limited in the live situations so far this spring, but other than that, Clark has consistently earned praise for his cutting ability off the Achilles. Should there be no setbacks, and I am knocking on wood as I type, Clark will have a role this fall. Another RB mentioned was early enrollee James Simon who got loose a couple of times Thursday night. Simon is listed at 205 pounds on the Texas roster, but he is probably closer to 210 and carrying it well. – Two sources indicated RT Andre Cojoe continues to be a positive surprise this spring. The battle between Cojoe and Baker is legit. One source indicated that they believed the job would be pretty quickly decided for Baker, though Cojoe has given Baker a run for his money and continues to piece things together. -

Blake Munroe Spoke to a few sources across multiple sports this morning and got a lot of good news across all fronts. Baseball: Texas swept a Top 5 Georgia squad over the weekend, without both Adrian Rodriguez and Max Belyeu. I checked on the status of those two earlier and was told that both are recovering well. Rodriguez is "structurally fine" but the staff does not want to rush his return. "It's solely when he feels better... but we need it to not hurt," said a source. As for Belyeu, it sounds like the staff is cautiously optimistic on a return sooner rather than later. -

Gerry Hamilton Texas OL recruiting: Yes, maybe or work to do The Texas Longhorns are loading up on the offensive line in the 2026 cycle. It's a class that will for sure have five, with six n outside shot. With two commitments in the fold, the needs remain two pure offensive tackles and best available interior prospect. Gerry Hamilton Texas Hoops: Size everywhere, more portal additions to come For years Texas fans have clamored for a roster with true bigs and size across the board. Well, Sean Miller is already proving he is your guy in that regard. The three portal additions so far are a 6-foot-8 wing/F that will be an NBA draft pick when he leaves Texas, a 7-foot center that will very likely be an NBA prospect after two years in Austin and a very athletic 6-foot-7 wing/F that shoots it from three at 39%. And there will be two more portal additions to the roster, with one being another big man. The current Texas roster now features five players that stand 6-foot-8 or more, with another 6-foot-10 addition on the way. Texas current 2025-26 roster... Tramon Mark, CG, 6-6, Gr. (10.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists) Jordan Pope, CG, 6-0, senior (11.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists) Chendall Weaver, G, 6-3, senior (6.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists) Camden Heide, F, 6-7, junior (4.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 39.2% from three at Purdue) Dailyn Swain, F, 6-8, junior (11.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 steals at Xavier) Matas Vokietaitas, C, 7-0, sophomore (10.2 points, 5.4 rebounds at FAU) Malik Presley, G/W, 6-5, RS-sophomore Nic Codie, PF, 6-8.5, sophomore John Clark, PF, 6-8.5, freshman Jamie Vinson, PF, 6-10.5, sophomore Xavier player in portal Texas leads for ... Lassina Traore, C, 6-10, senior (11.9 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists in 2023-24 at LBSU) Portal targets ... Texas will take one more combo guard, and it will be a shooter with enough size. The 13th scholarship… Texas will be patient here. Could be a young PG or a skilled big to develop. Sean MIller's staff ... Chris Ogden - General Manager Adam Cohen - Associate Head Coach David Miller - Assistant coach Ulric Malagi - assistant coach Ryan Anderson - Assistant coach/Director of player Development Ryan Reynolds - Special Assistant to the Head Coach Cam Miller -Director of Operations Andy Kettler - Head of strength & conditioning Down in the thread Gerry also posted this: Gerry Hamilton The very likely next commitment Gerry Hamilton Lassina Traore will be a quality backup center/big to Matas. Swain and Heide can play four out, with a skilled Swain at four in that lineup Then it really comes down to the three young bigs ... who emerges as the season moves along ... Nic Codie, PF, 6-8.5, sophomore ... a face up 4-man game offensively. Can run the floor. John Clark, PF, 6-8.5, freshman ... the most skilled of the three training with TJ Ford over the years. But a freshman that missed majority of senior season with broken finger on shooting hand. Jamie Vinson, PF, 6-10.5, sophomore ... a floor stretching 4/5 man that can protect the rim. Got to get stronger and continue to get more physical to hold position and rebound in traffic in the SEC. But Texas has a number of options, and at least one of the three will emerge IMO this season as a key role player. -
