  1. If football players ever get a share of TV revenue, you can be sure that the framework in that future will be a lot different than it is now and Title IX will have no say in the matter.
  2. Having to re-recruit your best players each year has to be the biggest pain in the ass. Would be better to pay players from TV revenue and sign them to multi year deals and finally move away from the bullshit amateur label.
  3. If the playoff was based on division / league standing, teams could line up big time OOC opponents because the risk of loss and falling out of favor with a committee wouldn't matter. Or, teams would still just line up pansies for warm up / practice until the season starts.
  4. I'm not a fan of comparing players across different eras because the game changes. Rules change, players are asked to do different things etc. For example - they pussified the league around 2003 or so and removed the hand check and cut down on physical play. It's pointless to try and compare guys whose careers have come after those rule changes to players who played prior to those changes. Each era is different. My favorite era was when guys would rather knock down an opponent than give out hugs and high fives and become friends with the people they are supposed to beat.
  5. In 20 years there is a good chance they will have pussified this sport even more. I would like to see an experiment - American football without pads. Kind of like a spin on rugby.
  6. Clock management. Sidelines is closer on the short side of the field and you'll give yourself a chance to run/catch/scramble to that sideline and use less clock doing so
  7. That is correct. espn was masturbating about his debut for a solid month. with that behind us, hopefully they will stfu about him now.
  8. $70m a year. Holy crap. To put that in perspective, their team payroll was about $128m https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/39076745/shohei-ohtani-join-dodgers-10-year-700m-deal
  9. That's Italian sports reporter / presenter Diletta Leotta. Also known as Alotta Fagina
  10. I wonder which pasture Bison Tits is moving to
  11. I wouldn't turn either way. I'm not into the dimple butt chin that Chastain has, however, no one is perfect and I would rather celebrate our differences. I would be more than happy to use that butt chin of hers to rest one of deez nuts. Kind of like a golf ball on a tee.
  12. Your GD right it's good - it's got Amy Adams in it!
  13. The overall shit play in the Big 10 has a lot to do with that. I think people forget - prior to Harbaugh taking over at Michigan, Michigan hadn't done shit since about 2000 or so, which means the Big 10 has been a 1 horse town for two decades We should also not confuse TV contract values with quality of play. If we were to remove the TV contract values from the conversation- no one in their right mind would say the Big 10 should be part of an upper tier league that breaks off from the rest of the sport.
  14. I've never understood this take. The regular season matters in every sport there is and a playoff, or quasi-playoff, does not change that fact.
  15. Ideally our away games wouldn't be across the fucking country, which to me is the downside of our conference move. That said, playing tech or not playing tech doesn't change the fact that I'm never driving out to Lubbuttocks.
