  1. They also serve to form a solid "background" to make it easier for the signals to be seen by the players
  2. It may still be illegal in Texas, but other states it isn't any longer. Hell, high schools can have tablets, laptops, whatever all showing game video on the sidelines now. Our high school has a camera in the endzone + one in the pressbox feeding video to a portable server, which in turn feeds half a dozen ipads during the game, and coaches can use them on the sidelines, locker room, whatever. Edit: Here's the rule and a company that sells turnkey solutions for high schools http://insightreplay.com/faqs/#football-rule-1612 `Sample photo, but yeah, this is allowed now on a high school sideline:

  5. I mean, if you were proud of this prior to last week, why take it down now? Fucking own it.

  12. Oh, I get that; it would be like going from the english to sanskrit in midseason. But no one is going to take that risk playing Michigan. Hell, they may just go full huddle on offense if it needs to be done.

  14. Well, that plus all the schools changing everything they have done up until now, plus the network has ceased to exist (wonder who is going to sell the unused tix for other games the rest of the season?) so yeah; I'd expect Michigan to be a little more subdued.
