  1. FYI, Trump was nominated 3 times back in January..and received a single vote each time. From Gaetz.
  2. Let's check back in with our good friend Mike. Apparently, the IRS stuff might be a bit more involved:
  3. You know the answer. Besides, his girlfriend is sitting in the courtroom, along his side, facing the legal challenge together.
  4. Sidebar for some nerd talk. Goddamn, that's just perfect. His attorney went to Best Buy to get herself a spiffy new laptop and got talked into some piece of shit gaming device running the Home version of Windows that weighs 9 lbs and has a battery life measured in minutes, but by God look at that display.
  5. No red tie? Also, that decal on whatsnername attorney; is that a gaming laptop?
  6. Wait. Weren't we all told just a few days back that if the boat sank, everyone would be electrocuted? Now we are told the boat will just sink anyway? Also, how much does a nuclear reactor on an Nimitz Ford class carrier weigh? Just asking questions here. Never mind, we are back to electrocution:
  7. Mike just can't catch a break. With creditors not working with him, those pesky lawsuits, and now, the IRS:
  8. Mine is to be delivered this week, so I have nothing to report. My wife's showed up on launch day; I backed up her old phone, transferred everything to her new Pro, handed it to her and that was that. If it had been hot to touch or draining the battery she would have pointed it out to me by now.
  9. Andar has redesigned the case with a button and is offering 50% off + free shipping for a replacement to those who ordered one with the cutout, through October 15th. Look for the email with the discount code.
  10. He's no longer alleged if he pled guilty, correct? https://www.thedailybeast.com/scott-hall-becomes-first-co-defendant-to-take-a-deal-in-trumps-fulton-county-case?ref=home?ref=home
  11. Same shit, different year. See, this is personal in the Francisco family. My wife is a fed, and her position is excepted from furlough, so there is no furlough for her---she has to do her job, without pay, until it ends. It really fucks with her mentally, as it would be to most all of us---to have to go to work, knowing that you will not get paid until the shutdown is over with, no matter how long it takes. And you just can't decide not to come in to work as some sort of protest. In her field, it just doesn't work that way. We aren't paycheck to paycheck, so we aren't in a bind financially over this. But still, the impact is real. It's not a vacation, it's the same job she signed up for long ago, with no pay until some date in the future. What it does to the morale of she and her co-workers is incalculable. Right now, it's a nuisance. A week from now, if it is still ongoing, it becomes a problem.
