  1. Arch looks defeated because he is finding out that everything he has been told about himself his whole life is BS. Name one other QB in history that played this bad and there were still people saying he was going to be great, where every single great pass he makes it's "See! there it is, wait until he figures it out!" This has never happened before as far as I know. The dude is just not that good. Wrap your heads around it. If this were literally any other QB there would not even be a discussion, we would be talking about who else we have or can bring in next year.
  2. I was hoping that Kentucky would go for the touchdown on forth down instead of taking the 3 points, it gave us a chance, he should have known by that point there was no way for us to move the ball, they likely would have won if they just took it to another OT, the look on Stoops face after they got stuffed was great, he knew he blew it
  3. Other teams like Kentucky have young QBs that are playing well and are not throwing balls so far from their receivers that they don't even attempt to catch them.
  4. I was seriously wishing we would kick that last field goal on 3rd down because I was afraid the offense would do something else stupid and blow it.
  5. The Kentucky QB is making mistakes you would expect from a redshirt freshman, like taking sacks instead of getting rid of the football. I don't think I saw any of his passes thrown at the feet of his receivers, or 15 feet away from them like Arch is doing. He made some amazing throws tonight, he played confident aggressive football. Even if a player is inexperienced you can expect that from them. I don't think we can write off Arch's problems to inexperience any longer. He has benefited from NFL level coaching from the time he was in grade school, if anything his development should be way ahead of other (R) Sophmors. I think Sark is coming to the realization that this kid just doesn't have it.
  6. Individual effort by the RB really shows itself in yards after contact. Bijan and RJ set a standard for that that has helped our RB room ever since. It's something we have been lacking the last few games. Tre Wisner set the tone for the offense on Saturday. I'm not sure why but I enjoyed this victory more than I have in many years. Suck it Sooners.

  8. I think we suprise everyone and come out playing well, matching OUs intensity and even taking an early lead. Then OU fights back, and Mateer (Who grew up in the Metroplex and knows what this game is about) or Hawkins (Who grew up in the Metroplex and knows what this game is about) takes over the game and it becomes apparent that the game last week against Florida was no aberration, this current version of the Longhorns has no leaders, is lacking heart, and doesn't mind being humiliated on the national stage. OU 24 Texas 17
  9. I don't think they did CJ Baxter any favors by starting him as a true freshman. I am all for starting your best players, but you have to consider the mindset of these kids as well. Maybe he looked the best in practice and deserved some playing time, but he should have had to prove it in a real game before you leapfrog him over Jonathan Brooks. He hasn't been healthy and available for many games. The RBs in general have missed a lot of games. It just seems like when teams are winning the only injuries that will keep a player out of a game are broken bones and stuff needing surgery.
  10. It took you an hour to come up with that?
  11. Well alright, you get it now! Just lick the cum off of his balls when your done.
  12. Hey Fucktard, I was wondering why Sark didn't seem concerned about losing four top linemen, and I am still wondering. I also was confused as to why he didn't bring in a couple of blazing WR from the portal as he had been doing the last couple of years. He should have. I just think the unpresidented bust that is our starting QB overshadows it all, he is still not getting the heat he deserves. He may be a good kid but he needs to man up, he is letting his team down.
  13. I think you want to win an argument, so I conceed, you win. So anyway, even if they just suck they could have played like men and knocked some guys on their asses. Just watch what OU does to them on Saturday, if the Horns come out flat again they will be humiliated.
  14. They were dominant in the Ohio State game. That's an elite defense. They have given up. The team looks like it did when they had Hudson Card or Swoops behind center, they know there is no way to win games if your QB sucks.
  15. Sark tried to fill in the gaps with the portal. He brought in a punter, a place kicker, a tightend and a backup QB with game experience - in case Arch missed a couple of games. He tried to cover all his bases, and get this team to the NC game. There was no way for Sark to know Manning was a head case and would wilt under the pressure like a little girl. I think the whole team would be playing better, incuding the OL, if they had not lost confidence in their QB.
  16. Calling any QB difinitively better than Manning is not exactly bold at this point. Hawkins started 4 games last year. I was a little suprised that he stayed around after they brought Mateer in. With OU's defense he should be able to do more than enough to beat this team. I think it's just hard for us to wrap our heads around how bad this Texas team is right now.
  17. I have a lot of OU fans in my family. They don't like to admit it, but Texas is all the Sooners think about. It's an obsession and they will play their best game of the season on Saturday. The line on this game is inexplicable. I understand the media likes to build Texas up so they can fall on their face and be humiliated, I don't understand why Vegas would do it. The Sooners have the #1 run defense in college football. Which of our runningbacks is going to get yards against this team? When the run game stalls, what are we going to do, throw desperate 50 yard bombs? Their backup QB is better than our starter. Our backup QB might be better than our starter. Texas is about to be humiliated on the national stage one more time.
  18. Arch needs to man up.
  19. If Texas were playing a legitimate team today, they would have been forced to throw the football. If Manning is playing this poorly when they go up against OU it looks like Caldwell might give them a better (Small) chance to win the game. Before this week I woud have thought that was crazy talk.
  20. What part of crumbled under the pressure do you not understand? Yes, he completely fell apart. Once that happens a player is liable to do anything, that's why you try to avoid it and stay calm. But what value is there in analysing exactly how he fell apart? That would be like analyisng a drunk guy and concluding that he forgot how to walk. The man still knows how to throw a football and he will likely demonstrate that next week.
  21. We? You have a horse turd in your pocket?
  22. Agreed, that would make things worse. That's not what I had in mind. Nick Saben always seemed irritated and bordering on hostile when the media said something stupid. Sark just needs to change his tone a bit.
  23. Arch did ok in two starts last year and by all accounts was progressing well this year. He just completely fell apart under the spotlight the media had on him. Sark may not be a great game day coach, but he is tuned into these kids and he obviously knew Arch was cracking under the pressure. The offense he ran in the first half was conservative to the point of being weird. Because of the media, things take place at Texas that don't happen anywhere else, like the spectacle of this young man being publicly humiliated yesterday. I think it's one of the reasons this program struggled for so many years. I'm not sure what can be done about it, but if I were Sark I would take a more confrontational tone with all the analysts and reporters and call out the hyperbolic expectations and clownish way this program gets covered.
  24. If Sark wanted to see what kind of plays to run against a great defense to get your QB in a ryhthm and get some points on the board, all he had to do was see what OSU was doing. Some quick routes for 3-5 yards, run the football, and grind it out. When they were finally forced to start throwing the ball Manning loosened up and made some plays. As bad as Arch looked today this is mostly on Sark, he got badly outcoached.
  25. I agree, but If Quinn had that level of ball control I don't think we are having this conversation. It's really kind of wierd. His acuracy on short routes may be better than Arch, but when he goes deep he just throws it up for grabs.
