  1. That dude is a 35 year old account manager at a tech firm. He’s got the vacant soulless stare of a man with way too much mortgage and no peace when he goes home.
  2. the number 1 class ranking and "best class ever" are the goals here.
  3. This is all true. Having said that, does anyone here think that Saban and more to the point his support staff would've had some shit that looked like it was from San Saba's Prom for their recruiting purposes? The transitive state of the end zone project should be irrelevant to the discussion because the support staff should be held to a championship level - no different than the coaching staff. Was it a big deal in the whole scheme of things? No, it's just some photo bullshit - but the precedent of "good enough" within the program is not acceptable, imo. It's a nonsense "problem" but this is how large orgs fail -- it's attestation of mediocrity.
  4. I'm really glad you posted it - dude set that story up brilliantly. Walking up the steps at the basketball game and seeing the DB coach all pissed ... "Bro, you gotta come to UCLA"
  5. that’s a good get for tech. Dude can ball and has an excellent frame.
  6. also 2023 LB Taurean York https://247sports.com/Player/Taurean-York-46097725/ 2023 FS Naeten Mitchell https://247sports.com/Player/Naeten-Mitchell-46114582/ and 2024 QB Reese Rumfield
  7. TCU as well. He was at Oregon last weekend and if I had a CB that would be mine - though I think a visit to Florida may change that as well.
  8. Disagree completely. Guys like Jaydon Chatman, Deldrick Mason, and Jaden Platt are barely in the top 50. The class has plenty of talent in state - the bigger issue is that most of the top talent isn’t that interested in Texas right now. That’s the impact of the 1-6 finish.
  9. Look, I hate the Gators with all of my tiny shriveled heart but Napier is going to fucking kill it there as much as that pains me to say.
  10. Cyrus Gray, Tony Jerod-Eddie, Damontre Moore, Von Miller, Michael Richardson, Shemar Turner ...
  11. Yes. He's from DeSoto and Mathis is not only back but his sons are on the team and at least one is being "recruited" by aggy. You can go ahead and assume Cook, Milliner-Jones, and Buford are going to be in CStat every weekend. https://247sports.com/Player/Caimon-Mathis-46086826/ https://247sports.com/Player/Jaden-Milliner-Jones-46097278/ https://247sports.com/Player/Mario-Buford-46102686/
  12. do you guys think Sarkisian hired GP? Did you see that guy when he was asked about it. That guy isn't here to replace PK in a break glass emergency ...
  13. It could also be that McCutchin hit the portal market and found that there isn't a huge market for 155 pound malcontents.
  14. This team does FAR less reps than any of our competitors and practices in a very old school style. FAR less. There are more guys watching drills and practice than actively practicing at any given time, even when broken down in positional drills. that is not modern college football. Look, if you think this team is as physical as the teams under Herman and if you think that there isn't a S&C problem - that's cool - but we will for sure agree to disagree until the end of time.
  15. unless there is a scheme and technique change this will remain no matter who is playing DL. If you ask the DL to catch OL and attempt to control 2 gaps you are passive from the snap. If you play bail-and-trail at CB for a majority of your snaps you are passive. If you give the WRs leverage by formation (despite down and distance) you are passive and beaten before the snap. Hell, giving up short/quick passing game in any down/distance in this conference is simply ceding death by paper cuts, esp if you can't stop the run and won't combat heavy player personnel groupings. This isn't even getting into subpar S&C and practice structure. The huge drop in physicality from this team in year one under this coaching staff was remarkable. The great secret of CFB is that the BigXii has become a very physical conference - see the bowl games - and this is very much a finesse football team on both sides of the ball.
  16. former aggy commit and UNC and USF QB Cade Fortin will walk on at Arky :: https://247sports.com/player/cade-fortin-83575/
  17. Agreed. Though part of it seemed to be the same problem Texas had last year - coaches sticking with “their guys” despite them being clearly outplayed by younger more athletic players. Fields was one of the worst defenders I’ve seen at OU and nothing was getting him off the field. I don’t see guys like Washington and McCutchin being recruited by BV going forward. Tiny frames and a lack of physicality.
