  1. Any dead/weak spots in the house wifi.  We're about 2,500 sqft and have been really happy with 3 google wifi units.  Our cable internet originates in a corner bedroom downstairs.  So I have another one downstairs and one upstairs.  The mesh setup is great.

You sound like you have an Apple family.  So maybe there's something in that ecosystem that does the same.  Otherwise, the Google stuff is super easy to set up, has good speed, and works well.

Beautiful Tele, came from Wildwood it looks like. I bought a guitar from them once, great customer service.

The LP looks like it's in a custom shop case. I can't read whatever is on that 12th fret inlay. Good looking Les Paul, most of them are. Details?

Yep.  Wildwood Thin Skin American Vintage 52.  Has the modern fretboard radius and slightly different pickups than the regular 52 AV.

Les Paul is a 2014 Traditional.  It has the much maligned 100th Anniversary Logo on the 12th fret.  Plays great and I'm not bothered by the logo.

I got one of these last year.  I feel stupid I didn't get one sooner.

It's incredibly light compared to a gas mower.

Plus, the carburetor doesn't clog when I go April-October without mowing and forget to empty the gas tank.

And when I mulch the ton of leaves that accumulate every week, the air filter doesn't clog because no air filter.

I'm thinking about going eGo when my current gas mower dies. I have their trimmer and blower and they both kick major ass. Make me very happy that I'll never have to fuck with maintaining a two stroke engine again in my life.

Been eyeing the blower and weedeater for a while.  I had a corded B&D mower that lasted me 9 years.  Got a rider after that that lasted about 5.  Craftsman after that lasted about 2.  Went back to electric and am loving it.

That's good lookin. What made you go for the semi hollow?

It's routed and has a sound post under the bridge connecting the top and bottom.  So I it's not built like an archtop.  But it doesn't have a long block in it like a 335.  It sounds, plays, and feeds back like a full hollow and supposedly, the sound post causes sympathetic vibration from the bottom and top like some violins.  I have a 1970 ES335, which is what I think of when I think semi hollow.

If you mean why didn't I go for the PRS Archtop, the answer is that it looked kind of bulky.  This one weighs just over 4 pounds and plays really well.

Here's the old 335, the most "even" playing guitar I ever have played.

Preowned but the only problem is that I haven't found a good private option online for a 2016-18 Toyota Avalon sub 20K miles (what we're looking at).   I did consider the Carvana option but there hasn't been a spectacular deal there either.  My problem is, what is "reasonable"?  Asking for 5%, 10, 15?  Also, is asking for an "invoice" only for brand new vehicles?

We hunted Avalons for my wife for the better part of a year.  She had one already she had driven for years and loved it.

What you're looking for exists, but its not as easy to come by I thought it would be at that price point.  Be prepared to travel, but have an out the door price in writing before you go and if you are bringing a check, let them know so you don't get some bullshit about how that price was only good if you finance through Toyota (a lot of that going around).

Long story short, we walked away from a lot of dealers who wanted to play games ended up with a preowned Pathfinder at a good price with a very good experience at the dealer without having to drive too far for it.  Went from two cars and a boat hauler to my car and her boat hauler.  Win-win.

I've got one, too.  Had it for about 3--4 years at this point.  It powers through small limbs and other yard debris just fine.  Love not having to worry with maintenance.  Not a huge yard.  Not a small yard.

I hate my Pit Barrel Cooker.  Top feed is really risky -- major flareups can (and do) happen when excess oxygen floods the barrel.  I thought I was gonna burn the place down once.  It's also very difficult to control temperature in general.

We have had pretty good luck with ours although currently, since we got a WSM 22, it's relegated to overflow of pork and chicken.  I did some good briskets on it, but they are much better on the WSM.  But you're right about the flare ups.  If you're taking something off to wrap for example, you have to throw the rebar back in the holes and put the lid on tight.  Just a pain, really.  But the chicken and ribs I made on it were pretty good.

  9. You want to see some close quarters.  This is how much clearance I had when I swapped out the Eminence ceramics that came with my Victoria Bassman with 20 watt Weber 10a125s.  You can get an index card in between the magnet and the cap can cover, but that's about it.

Nest Hello installed today. I really like it so far. Very easy to use.

I think outdoor cameras are next.

I'm getting one soon.  Need to figure out if our doorbell transformer is kaput though.  Not getting a spark at the button.

  11. I'm working my way through the catalogue.  Over the last couple of years, I've read the Shining, 11/22/63, IT, and Different Seasons.  I'm currently about a third of the way through 'Salem's Lot.  I am loving it, but have stalled out on reading for about a month.  Need to get back into it.  Only made it about 400 pages through The Stand, but was bored.

Let's get this topic going again.

But "legend" is a strong word.  I don't think 1 natty and 2 conference titles in 16 years is enough to get that title.  Not at Texas.

Only one coach at Texas that has reach "LEGEND" status.

Had Mack left after the 2009 season, he would have been very well thought of.

As far as coaching goes, the best decisions he ever made was to leave guys like Ricky and Vince alone and let them do what they did best.   Best as I can recall, he did not recruit either of them, even though he did recruit a lot of outstanding players for a number of years, especially early on (not so much toward the end).
