Since November 2022, I've been to the following new countries:
Egypt
Spain
Sweden
Singapore
Cambodia
Vietnam
Finland
I want to add 3 more this year. I'm going to hit Germany and Austria. I feel like I might do something in Central America. Anyone have recommendations?

We were on the 777-300 IAH-LHR and it was terrible in a 2-4-2. I can't believe that BA is flying that plane on that route given that Shell is driving more of its folks to fly BA to London these days. The seats are cramped, the food is gruel and the bedding in Club World is scratchy. I've also noticed on multiple BA flights that they keep the cabin as warm as a nursing home. Other than that, the play was great.
Yeah, those planes suck. The Club Suite is a good product, and I am lucky enough that it is on every plane going out of JFK, except the one going to LGW. At one point, there were 3-4 BA flights out of Houston a day. I wonder if COVID means that they are flying less so they put the manky old planes on that route to get more seats and $$.

Much like Jules Winnfield, BA is in what you might call a "transition period." It was the very first to introduce lie-flat seats in its Business cabin, but those seats are now way out of date. They're now replacing those seats with the new Collins Aerospace Super Diamond reverse herringbone seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. That seat is pretty common across a lot of airlines. BA's innovation is that they have a door on those seats to create a private pod, which is very nice. Currently, those seats are on all of BA's A350-1000s, which is the equipment BA flies to AUS. So for those of us in the Austin market, the BA product is really very nice.
Now, I will say that for those of us in AUS, the BA club situation at Bergstrom sucks because they use the AAdmirals Club, which is small, dark, and shitty. But that's not BA's fault; it's AA's.
At LHR, I think the Galleries Lounges are above-average business class lounges. They're busy, yes. But they're also big enough to meet the demand. And they have a great view of the runway at LHR. So that's nice.
That doesn't make any sense to me. I never really had that happen at DFW outside of weather, and I've flown through DFW a lot.
Weird luck, I guess.
BA 777 between NYC and LHR have that same seat, and they were the first to get them. They are really nice. There is a LGW flight that is still on the old seat (2-4-2 with full lay flats), but I have not been on one since before COVID. @royiv I think you just got unlucky.

365,000 voted for Trump in 2020 in New Hampshire in the general. Yeah, most don't vote in primaries, but that's interesting.
Also, Tim Scott has as much chance of sniffing the VP slot as Greg Abbott does.
It'll be Kristi Noem (Kari Lake is too looney for him).
I meant in the primary. Is there a figure if primary turnout was down this year?

Same in NYC. It was GLORIOUS. Cannot wait! Dancing in the streets will happen. Bells will peal in London, Paris, and other cities in the world in celebration. GLORIOUS.

What was the NH turnout compared to 2020?

All our resident Republicans who continue to vote because muh guns or muh taxes should be forced to go through the pain and fear they have imposed on women with their vote. Fuck them all.

I should've known better than to open this thread when I'm already bordering on wanting an early lunch. I could spend a couple years traveling between Vietnam, Singapore and Thailand just for the food.
Was that the Belmond in Angkor?
No. We stayed at Treeline Urban Resort, which was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were really fantastic, as was the rooftop pool. But what made the stay special was all the people. The people in Siem Reap were outstanding. It is a place I might seriously return to.

Jesus I’m jealous. What group is this through? It’s amazing.
Girls Guide to the World. It is luxury boutique travel for women (i.e. only women on the trips). They do good work. I did Egypt with them and this trip.

LOLz. This thread. One of the most churlish, condescending motherfuckers on this board is pontificating about treating others with respect.
Jerry Jones wants to give up control of the Dallas Cowboys before Cloakies want Cloak Room "fixed." The behavior is engrained because it is what their politics demand. There is no debate. No discussion. There is no counterpoint. If we disagree( and your facts must be ours that we have already predetermined to be facts,) well my friend, then it is time for shout downs, bombing runs, personal attacks, and ad hominem insults. None of which have made me leave the community itself after 16 years, but yeah, generally speaking, fuck Cloak Room.
I post actively in many forums across the board. Why is the bullshit limited to Cloakroom? You know why...

Guys, when someone comes and in trolls, like LHL and Fatty did in that thread, you neg them and move on. Don't engage. And, if they admit they are trolling, you report them. You aren't going to get them to see any sort of reason whatsoever. Don't waste your time.

Back in Singapore. Cambodia is amazing. The people are so welcoming and warm. Sunrise over Angkor Wat was astounding.
After three days of Temples, I was done. Also, I definitely busted my ass looking at monkeys and not watching where I was going.
Hanoi is a shitshow. The amount of motor scooters is something to behold. We got to ride around in old Russian jeeps left over from the war.
Hoi An is amazing, and Halong Bay is gorgeous. But the air pollution throughout was problematic (it cause our entire group respiratory issues).
Some of the highlights until I have time to get through them all.

Thanks but I will bow and and leave them to their little sandbox. There is no such thing as a differing opinion, not allowed here obviously. I would love to say more but these people need to put their pitchforks down, take a deep breath and leave their emotions out of it for once.
