  1. Baron Batch was special.

That RB class Leach snagged in ‘05 was pure smoke. Edward Britton, Kobey Lewis and Batch were insane to watch in person. If Britton would have played somewhere besides El Paso he would have gotten a heck of a lot more attention

  2. Patience. Secondary has come way down in the last six months. Do I think we’ll ever see $54 for a 1.75 of w12 or $46 for a 1.75 of 107? Absolutely not, but we’re a hell of a lot closer than we’ve been in the last 6-7 years.

  3. Went down to grandma’s this week to get my welder and to my surprise she left about 110 acres unplowed like I asked her to and it is solid Johnson grass and sunflowers. Ready for September to get here

  4. Small batch and BT are everywhere in DFW. Blanton’s is starting to become much less scarce as well. Secondary prices on ETL, Hancock’s and most of the BTAC have plummeted in the last few months. I really hope this is a sign of things to come.

  5. Sat next to JR at Randy Johnson’s home debut for the Astros. I had no idea who he was at the time, but Dad handed me a baseball and said go ask that man over there for his autograph.

  6. Ok, just saw it was gone at the Peach Festival.  Darn about Fire Oak, it was on my want to try list.

It’s next to the funeral home on the southeast corner of the square. The guy running the register at the old AME cigars said they moved after having had some issues with the landlord, either not fixing shit or jacking up the rent.

  7. The Italian restaurant on the square closed so bet that probably might be where it opens.

It did not close, it moved around the corner from its previous location about two months ago. Douchelove is inhabiting the space previously known as Fire Oak.
  8. It’s nuts.  There have been three rollovers in the Houston area this week, including two in the Cleveland school district.  All 58 kids on that bus were taken to the hospital.

Can’t get in touch with guardian, kid goes to hospital to be evaluated. In the state of Texas a minor can’t tell you they’re not hurt/injured; only a responsible adult can make that determination for them. But it has to be a related responsible adult. Not related, you can’t say so, even if it’s a scratch on the finger. Yay for lawyers
