I posted in the overall pre-game thread, but wanted to make it its own post so maybe someone would check it out.  I have a single (will be sitting with people already up in Dallas), and plan on driving up and back to Dallas on Saturday.  Depart Austin around 5:00 am, coffee and klobasnek on the road.  Corn dog and beer for second breakfast at the fair.  Game.  Hopefully wave a victory corn dog around after.  Then drive back to Austin.

I have Don Williams' entire catalog on my phone, ready to cue up in the car.  I also have other music options.  Or we can shoot the shit about Texas football, pretty brunettes, the state of the war in Ukraine, or what have you - I'm a damned good road tripper.

I am planning on driving, and have space for passengers.  OR, if you're itching to drive, I am happy to chip in for gas and buy you your first klobasnek on the road.  If you're up for road-tripping, lemme know.

Pos rep for proper klobasnek usage

I totally believe her.  Just guys calling for "Lisa" but if "Lisa" is busy, they might say "Just get me someone with big boobs on Saturday night at 11pm."

In the video, the Franklin alderman claims she was trying to finish up college at Southern Methodist University when she took a job answering phones for what she thought was a modeling and casting agency.

"I answered the phone, I took a name, I took a number and a date," Hanson says. "At the end of my work session, I would call the owners and give them that information."

She claims she had no idea it was an escort service until police came calling.

As a result, Hanson says, she agreed to take a plea for a single charge under a "deferred adjudication," which allows first-time offenders to avoid convictions.

"My punishment for the deferred adjudication was 'do not live in Dallas for two years,' because they knew I was leaving. I said, 'No problem, because I don't ever want to live in Dallas again after this experience'," Hanson said.

That's when she says she moved to Chicago.

  3. Almost slipped by, but happy 80th to George Roger Waters.  Thank you for all the past music.  May you find peace some day, and I'll leave it at that.

    1905 vanilla?

No, the Homemade Vanilla - I actually don't usually eat it, I buy it for my dogs and give them each a scoop at night for dessert.  But drunken times call for desperate measures (and I do alternate between the two, this week the dice just came up "homemade"...).

Too bad.  Love is Alive is also a great song.

    RIP

Agreed, Dream Weaver is almost a cliche at this point but Love is Alive will always kick ass , remember hearing it blasting out of my AM radio when I was a kid

Yeah, you say that sarcastically, but I saw Fani Wills on the courthouse steps espousing a sociopolitical, philosophical, and economic ideology within the socialist movement, whose goal is the creation of a communist society, a socioeconomic order centered around common ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange that allocates products to everyone in the society based on need.

I’m sorry it was in fact the Wolverhampton Wanderers who beat Leicester 3-1

  7. Haven't gone all the way through this thread in a long time, but have a feeling In Through the Out Door gets short shrift.  Maybe because it's the first Zep album I bought myself (I had a copy of Zep II that was my mom's),  coming right at that cusp where I turned from AM radio to FM radio, late 1978 into 1979, but I think it's a damn solid album.  yes, I even like Hot Dog.  But In the Evening, Carouselambra, really that whole 2nd side is fucking gold, All My Love and I'm Gonna Crawl really send them off in fine form, nothing to be ashamed of.  Considering what they went through to make that album, it's pretty fucking great.

(although that flubbed note at 2:50 will stick in my brain forever...)

  8. Probably heat related, but regardless, not good for the surrounding brush, big fertilizer plant in Bartlett burned down.  My mom is in the nursing home there but luckily on the north end of town, this is on the south end just as you come into town from Granger...  @Hornius Emeritus/Traces, hope you are well also.

Jim Rome is almost 60 and still acts like that.

Don't you clones come in with your weak takes. No one wants to hear your lame "ARRSEE". Come strong, clones, and you may make it to the Smack Off. Rack him

Duke is Duke…. They’re on tv… more than… Leave It to Beavahhh…. Reruns! (Seriously been 20 years since I listened to Romey)
