Hope we get more like this since it’s very rare that we ever do from them.

Saw that posted on Twitter yesterday morning, it was glorious.  Think I enjoy it more without vocals.  Not a guitar player myself, but the the chords he pulls up in this song are amazing.  Coming between IV and Physical Graffiti, this seems to be kind of an overlooked album, but it's definitely one of my favorites.  No filler at all, in my opinion anyway.  Yes even The Crunge.

  2. Still remember hearing New Year's Day on the radio for the first time.  Man, you knew that was something different.  War, the Under a Blood Red Sky EP (with the unedited "Electric Co."), Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree, even Rattle and Hum, that was quite a stretch.  Then KLBJ fucking ruined U2 for me forever when Achtung Baby came out, they literally played one track every hour, One I still like, but I cannot turn the dial quick enough if I hear Mysterious Ways or Even Better....  I tried to give them another chance with Zooropa, honestly just bought it to hear Johnny Cash sing The Wanderer, I did like Numb but overall even Eno couldn't save that mess.  Gave up after that.  Still give them their props though.

Mine is still showing only two games "Watch in multiview (2 games)" and it doesn't seem like it's letting me pick which two... like now it's not letting me do ISU-Pitt in MV.

For right now, the multiview streams are pre-selected by YTTV, you can't pick your own choices, just whatever games they decide to pair up.  Right now I have two, the Creighton/NC State game paired with Iona/UConn, and another one for the women's tournament (really?).  There have been other pairings throughout the afternoon, so probably more for the nighttime games, hopefully will get a quad offering for tonight..

  4. Let’s just go ahead and add every commercial during the NCAA tournament.  I don’t care how good they are, after seeing them a million times, you will hate them.  Already done with ATT Lily, she even looks like she hates being in these pieces of shit.  The Capital One commercials get stupider every year.  Feel free to add your “favorites”.

Also want to add Late Night with David Letterman. I was living in Refugio when he started and the Corpus Christi station signed off after Carson. The only way to watch was turn the antenna to San Antonio and pray. Most nights you got a signal you could watch, but you had to put in the effort.

    Also this

Edit to add:  my wife is a huge Braves fan due to WTBS, used to keep a notebook with stats on all the players (she's a keeper, and a redhead, so I got that going for me...).  Have an Ozzie Guillen autograph stuck somewhere in our house from around 86 or so when we went to go see the Braves play the Stros in the Dome (got to chat with Pops Stargell during batting practice, that was cool...)

  6. Talk about somebody having their own guitar sound.  I remember this coming out in the early 80's, right about the same time George Thorogood started getting some airplay, lotta great slide blues on the radio at that time.

And of course, goes without saying..

    I think you're right....

What parts you from if going through Thorndale would have been quicker for you?

I live in Taylor.  40 minutes vs 15...  Not that I mind driving, almost went to the Roadhouse in Paige, which is a good 35 minutes away, they have great burgers (the one in Bastrop also...)

Oscar Store is pretty cool place. I think somewhere around there or maybe it’s going the other way is a Mennonite store that sells really damn good sandwiches.

I think that is Miller's up in Lott.  Was always kind of astounded, whenever my polka band would play up at Seaton Star Hall a family of Mennonites would always come out.

  9. Compare 2:17, from 1984, studio recording:

    to 2:32, from 2000 (there's a reason they use a far-away crowd shot...)

Hell, he was doing it during the 1984-5 Pros and Cons tour, need to go back to my bootlegs and listen again but there are probably parts of the original 79-80 Wall shows that were synched.
