Interesting. I haven’t heard the word in a professional setting in my entire life. Maybe your profession sucks.

Seriously this.  Not a single racial slur of any type in more than 25 years of professional life.  Can't help but wonder where some of these people work.

Best thing about NewsRadio: Phil Hartman and Stephen Root.

Worst thing about NewsRadio: it inflicted Joe Rogan and Andy Dick upon us.

All four of those people were great on that show.

I’m behind on this show. Was Season 3 any good?

It was better than Season 2.  That's about all I can say about it.  I realized when I started S4 yesterday that I had no memory of what happened in S3.

  4. Some of you should pop over to SEC Rant and have a quick read.  We were the most hated team there long before we ever even considered joining.  They've swallowed every morsel of bullshit aggy has served them.  I pray the day never comes that we "fit in" over there.

    Impact of coaching changes

Former running backs coach Stan Drayton left for the head coach job at Temple, and receivers coach Andre Coleman wasn’t retained. Sarkisian hired former Georgia Tech running backs coach Tashard Choice and former Pitt receivers coach Brennan Marion.

“We got 29 years younger in two hires,” Sarkisian said to alumni in May. “I’m trying to give a little more connectability to our current players, which has been the whole focus all offseason for us. I’m trying to provide a little bit more energy from a coaching staff perspective and also on the recruiting front.”

On Choice, a former Dallas Cowboys running back, Sarkisian said in April:

“An intense guy every day. He doesn’t pick and choose. He’s very demanding of the players, and I think they’re learning a lot from him and his style. We’re finishing runs at a level that I haven’t seen.”

On Marion, who coached Biletnikoff Award winner Jordan Addison at Pitt last season, Sarkisian said:

“He really has earned the respect of those wideouts. He’s a real technician. Those guys, they get on the grass and they go to work. He allows them to learn conceptually. They don’t learn just one position; they’re learning big picture. So a lot of guys are interchangeable, and I’ve seen growth.”

Former longtime TCU head coach Gary Patterson, known for his defensive mind, was the most publicized addition as a special assistant, an off-field role. At TCU, Patterson led the Horned Frogs to seven victories against Texas in 10 Big 12 meetings. Sarkisian said Patterson provides an additional set of eyes on the big picture as well as schematic suggestions in reviewing 2021 film or scouting 2022 opponents. Sarkisian called Patterson’s rapport with staff and players “awesome” and said he regularly bounces ideas off him.

Sarkisian added former NFL, CFL and SEC scout Bobby Merritt primarily to assess the transfer portal.

“His eye is trained to study the college player and how they translate to the NFL,” Sarkisian said in May. “Ultimately, that’s what we’re looking at now when you look at the portal: How does a kid relate to us if he came to our program — would he be a frontline player?”

for example, Tyrion. What the fuck dude? i'm still on S6 in my rewatch, and this dude has gone from being arguably the most clever, sharp, witty, most well read person alive, to some blathering, meek, pussywillow twatwaffle with zero confidence or intellect, just out of nowhere and for zero discernible reason.

No less ridiculous was Cersei morphing into some brilliant strategist.  In the books she was a complete idiot.

  7. I don't have a link, but the dumbass shit I just saw on Facebook was a gaggle of waterheaded Longhorn fans that think the RRS should be moved to Jerry's Soulless Cavern.  The highlights:

Just my two cents, but I would be in favor of moving it and they could still have a game there for the fair every year. I’d be in favor of moving it because it’s simply too jam packed with people.

I see this one a lot.  Not sure why these people don't just stay home and watch it on TV.

I was a long time advocate of keeping it at Cotton Bowl Stadium but it simply has outgrown itself. The lines are packed. It's a nightmare. I could go on and on. Again, I LOVE the pageantry of it all! I think it belong at ATT.

I just LUVVVV the pageantry!  Let's strip all of it away!!

The Cotton Bowl simply just doesn’t seat enough people. Between these two fan bases you could sell easily double the tickets.

    Narrator: It seats over 92,000.
