My wife asked how was it possible to get that much flame out of those sized containers.
Our son asked her if that was the only part of the village scene that struck her as somewhat of a stretch.
Also, metal kitchen tables apparently are even better than ballistic formal wear if you need an impromptu shield.
Curious, does that mean TCU's pitching was better than Texas because we beat UTSA in one game and basically our pitching was dog shit outside of one starter.
Agreed, and I really think they have to get Gusto out of the rotation.
He has made it 5 innings twice in his 8 starts and he splits in terms of BA, OPS, and slugging are significantly higher as a starter than a reliver. Seriously .100+ points in BA, almost .200 points in slugging, and over .200 in OPS.
He needs to be back in the bull pen and out of the rotation.
He did, which is going to happen at times, and as I noted becomes a more likely result when they continue to have to go to their pen again and again and again so early in the year.
Astros have what, 88 games to go this year and Okert projects a career high innings pitched without factoring in a dl stint.
So a WHIP of 0.56 qualifies as decent in your criteria for relievers?
He is one of many of the Astros' bull pen arms I am worried about in the second half with all the innings they have thrown so far this year.
Read an article when the fourth Wick came out about how there is a trend in movies that aren't really based upon source material that with sequels they emphasize the parts of the movie come to watch and strip out the other fluff
With the Wick movies the result is a movie that plays out as if you are watching a video game where the protagonist has to fight through an impossible set of challenges and a seeming less never ending stream of attackers to complete the game.
The camera angles even play into this as you get the overhead shots of John going from room to room.
Went and saw this yesterday and we greatly enjoyed it. This is basically your favorite first person shooter game rebranded with a new protagonist. Same level of fight scenes, same comedic moments, and same never ending body count. Our son read somewhere that the original screenplay had a body count of 1,400+ which would be hard to imagine short of a massive explosion, but very much the same feel as when John was fighting up the stairs in Paris,
The overhead shoots of the conclusion of the flame thrower duel were very cool and agree they are set to keep the Wick franchise going for at least one more story without John.
You think it is easy to look that bad?
Obviously never seen the over 50 year old games at my gym or 7th grade girls b level basketball...................... oh wait.....
Who had Walter giving the Astros 5-innings of 2 runs and 6 hits?
Giving up a bomb to a sub .200 hitter wasn't ideal, but that is two decent emergency starts for him.
This could be used to describe much of today's streaming content and network tv is dominated by about 3-4 show runners churning out mass amounts of crap.
Nothing about it looked appealing. There is soooo much crap on the streaming services it reminds me of eating at a buffet and I am not talking a good one like the Mother's Day affairs you try once with your wife when your kids are little.
I am talking Pancho's, CiCi's, Golden Corral level of crap that is poorly written, poorly acted, etc... simply to provide content to the services in the same manner ESPN shows axe throwing and dodge ball on ESPN 2 so they can make people pay for ESPN+ because that is where they put the content people really want to watch.
Interesting thought on this thread about the effective "life span" of a professional coach.
I think that is one reason why coaches such as Saban, Knight, or on a lesser scale Patterson were able to be successful for longer tenures even though they were tremendous horses arses to everyone in their programs.
Wow, just had a flashback to my first few years out of college when I live in North Austin. Far too many times a friend and I would pile out of some bar and hit the 7-11 on North Lamar only to find a couple of hot dogs in similar state. Much like the women we would make one final failed attempt at before closing time the hot dogs looked MUCH better at 2:30 in the morning and a large amount of whiskey in our stomachs. Now that I think about it, I am not sure I have ever eaten a 7-11 hotdog before midnight and not after far too many drinks.
Not stomach issues either unlike those god forsaken greasy ass pork chops at the truck stop south of Austin that close long ago. There was hell to be paid the next day for any drunken menu choice that involved those damn pork chops.
Curious what the winners split was the other night in Miami?
I can see the conversation starting, "What do you mean my split is $15, I bought $20 of numbers? "
Exactly, what they got tonight from Gusto is pretty much what he has given them every time out with the exception of the anomaly against the Padres.
The biggest problem is he barely goes past 4 so their bullpen gets over worked yet again and I can't believe that don't have some other option somewhere in the organization or off the fucking street or a car wash somewhere in Latin America.
True, but if the yacht isn't mistaken for a cruise ship it is still middle tier at Monaco.
Not sure how much Lawrence was pumping into Williams for a couple of seasons, but he did put down a bit of coin in the Force India fire sale and then with Racing Point and finally the second rebrand to Aston Martin.
Pretty funny rewatching the old Drive to Survive and just how fucking clueless Lance is about much of life. Seriously might be a bigger dumb fuck out of car than in the car.
