  1. Those companies are big because they make good decisions. If this show doesnt get eyeballs, I’d be worried. expanse got cut from plan of 9 seasons to only 6 is proof enough in amazon’s case. Jury is still out on apple. But no way would they burn 10m plus an episode if this is not a ratings hit. with that said, i am optismistic it goes on for a while.
  2. This show delivers. binged all 3 episodes so far, did not disappoint. I guess except for the genetic dynasty and the android, none of the other actors will be long lived as they need to span a 1000 years for the show? not sure wtf happened to gaal. Is she pressumed dead? Production costs seem very high. I am always concerned about that. Since it is sci-fi, it wont get the eyeballs and will get shit canned before finishing out the story.
  3. I dont see a fire sark thread (bumped if it already exists) on the football board. The chicken littles be slacking!!!!!
  4. What an idiotic prediction! Test match cricket at its best is way too unpredictable. it didnt show very much in the scorecards, but agree with Warne, this was all Bumrah. He changed the game. From a most likely draw to a India win. The pitch was completely docile and still a very good batting pitch. and Thakur is starting to be my favorite cricketer though I doubt he becomes too regular on Indian team anytime soon. He plays great when given a chance.
  5. England doing really well. As I had said, they are going to win the series 3-1.
  6. Seems like brazil horn is a prude in real life. Like 85% of Surlies.
  7. Hahahahahahhaha. England openers are now world beaters all of a sudden!!?!? It would take a miracle (or rain) for India to take this match beyond 3.5 days.
  8. Oh and if we go based on punches packed per words spoken - no one - and I mean - no one comes even close to Creed Bratton!
  9. P a k i s t a a a a a n !!!
  10. Any list missing Tobias funke, analrapist is wrong.
  11. Its quite downhill from there in comedic content. But I liked this series for the sociopolitical commentary on today’s academic. I guess Young uns were thought to be influenced to be liberal by university profs even a decade ago. Now with social media, the young uns already come leftist. Crazy that even the most liberal profs are conservative in their mind. I have a phd (not in literature though) so this feels close to home. But i left for industry right after.
  12. She be the yellow kind. Are you that color blind? Well played sir.
  13. Congrats 🎉. That looks friggin sweet.
  14. Check out https://leasehackr.com forums - but you maybe overwhelmed with info. And caveat that site has a lot of people who do dick measuring by trying to get the best deal. You can always use a broker. The site above has many listed. They’ll get you a pretty damn good deal without you having to do any work/negotiations yourself.
  15. Brz2 embargo lifts in 47m. Is it gonna be significantly better than the brz1? I think so.
  16. If I am a UT lawyer, I’d have at minimum 6-7 sugar babies.
  17. some thoughts (maybe connected, but mostly disconnected): I think some people are too down on Pujara, Kohli, and Rahane. Yes, they are in poor form. But they will overcome as they are proven players. Plus, realistically, India doesn’t actually have better replacements for any of them. — After winning the Australia series when missing lots of first teamers, the team India fielded for 2nd test is as close to India’s first choice team as possible - except for one person - Ravi Ashwin. And as painful as it is, you gotta kick out Jadeja for Ashwin if conditions dictate playing 4 pacers. Your lone spinner needs to be your best one. And jadeja is unfortunately #2. — England is as bad a place as India was in the Aus series with lots of first teamers missing (Stokes, Archer, Broad, Pope). But they lack depth. Especially at bat. Like really badly. All their depth is in whiteball cricket. First class county cricket must be so unimaginably weak. (This doesnt bode well for Test cricket if this pattern holds.) — Since India has struggled with openers for a while, I have long believed that Pujara should open. Why dont they run this experiment? He may not score at a high rate but he will stick around most of the time for 20+ overs and help dull the new ball. Then Rohit can go in at 3 (which is probably better suited for him too).
  18. Surprised KL got player of match over Siraj. Need to bring Ashwin back for Jadeja for at least a test to see if he can grab some wickets with the old ball. Our tail batting is now all of a sudden in a better condition. Maybe swap Ishant or Shami out for Shardul if we need more bat support to make room for Ashwin. But my guess is Kohli sticks with the team as is unless someone gets injured in a practice. Not the worst thing.
  19. You dont have to pray. You just gotta license chinese weather tech.
  20. well balanced test match - in the sense that any result is possible (each has a good chance). Kinda like the last one before rain ruined day 5. so now i expect the non-forecasted rains to come and ruin this test match again.
  21. This guy - Root - is pretty damn good. Huh.
  22. Rahul with a nice century. India will be disappointed with a score below 400 after day 1.
  23. It seems you have to play this test match like an ODI to win. If you sit around to defend you’ll get out. If each remaining batsman scores 15-20 runs on average, India wins. Kohli is too much of a traditionalist. But would be a good idea to promote Pant and Shardul before him and Jinks tomorrow. See if they can launch and get 25-30 odd runs each to deflate England.
