It seems our fan base is really scared of Traylor taking the job but wouldn’t want Traylor as the Texas HC?

It also seems like aggy is going to be pissed when Traylor takes the job.

So to summarize, some in our fan base is terrified of Traylor at aggy yet aggy doesn’t want Traylor at all?

There is a portion of our fanbase that is forever terrified of all things aggie.

Actually, if they get a competent coach, assuming Weigman stays, they are probably going to have a very good year in 2024. The weak schedule will help mask their shittly OL. I'd bet on lots of hype and maybe only 1 or 2 losses heading into the Texas game. Then we smash their face, put them in their rightful spot, and they regress in 2025 toward their usual mid-tier suckitude.

Not sure why y’all are pinning possible success on Weigman being there or not. Kid wasn’t all that good, and more importantly I don’t see how they solve that OL issue either.

No that is a called play. Otherwise you'd have offensive pass interference with a pass past the LOS.

If Ewers would have just handed off the ball we would have been flagged for OPI? Looked like an option play depending on numbers to me.

It goes much deeper than this.

It was in the best interest of the program this year to make sure Murphy stuck around and that Arch could be eased along slowly. There was zero benefit to naming Arch the backup even if the coaches think he is better than Murphy. And I'm sure most of us expected Murphy to at least be competent enough to where if he needed to fill in for a short time we could get by. That floor and safety net we thought Murphy offered while we could keep Arch protected is now non-existent, and if Ewers misses this week his injury becomes more than just a short term thing.

We are 2-0 with MM as our starting QB, so the floor and safety net has been just fine. However some of you placed unreasonable expectations on MM and now are calling for his head that he hasn't lived up to them. There was always going to be growing pains. He is another kid that hasn't really had any live reps because for the last 2 years this team just refuses to blow anyone out. Now a lot of you are doubling down and transferring those unrealistic expectations on Arch and would be crushed if he came in and couldn't live up to them either.

I think that thought absolutely horrifies us.

I'd fear for some of you guys safety if that turned out to be the case. It's obvious some here have already attached themselves to the Manning wagon. And this is despite never seeing him take a snap in a college football game. It's absurd really, I believe Sark is making the best decision here and everyone needs to be patient regarding both MM and Arch.

  6. Arch has had since Spring to win the QB2 job. He obviously hasn't to this date but some of you think it's a good idea to just throw him out there to see what he has. Reminds me of the bama fanbase clamoring for one of their other QBs earlier this season, Rees making the call and going with Buchner/Simpson only for those guys to put on display why they didn't win the job to begin with. Sometimes the QB on the bench is there for a reason. Obviously Sark thinks MM gives us the best chance to win in the absence of Ewers and so far that has held true. Those of you acting like it's unfathomable that Manning is worse need to pump the brakes. Can't imagine the shit show it would be if Manning came in and stunk up the joint.

  7. It’s hard for me to understand how some of you are Arch fanboys already despite not seeing him take a meaningful college snap in his career. Last time we saw him he was obviously behind the other QBs in regards to development.

MM has plenty to work on, mainly knowing when to just eat the football. But I guess some of you won’t believe Arch is not ready yet until he implodes on the field. Sark isn’t going to let that happen and the Mannings would prefer that not happen. If Arch was that guy already he would be playing, not sure why it's so hard for some of you to understand there is a reason he hasn't seen the field yet.

Also some of you clearly don't remember the freshman seasons of both Ehlinger and Ewers.

  8. If anybody needs more carries out the backfield it’s Jaydon Blue. I wouldn’t be upset at Keilan getting more touches too in space, his speed/quickness is a game breaker.

Larry Turner Gooden wasn't celebrated. Most are surprised he wasn't processed out of the class.

Well considering he committed in January, there wasn’t really a whole lot of time left to process him out.

And I agree that Barron/Gilbeau should have been cross trained at safety.

There is literally no way to know that without seeing the all 22 and breaking down each drop back. Quinn was fucking dealing and took shots when they were there and checked it down when they weren’t. Or that’s what it looked like based on what we saw.

Btw, Murphy had an easier throw to Brooks in the flat that would have almost certainly gotten the first down, which was the main objective on that play. I don’t care how fast you read if you can’t move the sticks.

Pretty sure someone was crashing down on Brooks which is why MM decided to go to AD. I thought it was the right read, just threw it behind him.
