Surly being so down on this team makes me feel better about the game this weekend. This board rarely assesses anything correctly.

Bama with 357 yards

Idk maybe wait to see if we are going to actually beat these teams before making this thread. This has bad juju written all over it.

He had a 32-yard run, which was pretty awesome. Other than that, he had like six yards on five carries.
When you hear a RB averages "insert number" yards per carry do you imagine that is how many yards they run on each carry? And if we take your small sample size as you are doing a RB running for 30+ yards every 5 carries is pretty damn good, and I'll take one yard on the other ones.
Also the defense was pretty stout yesterday despite all the players we were rotating in. Not enough talk about that thus far.

I guess technically that is a good shoot but I don't understand why a cop would position himself in front of the car in that situation. Also if she just wanted to plow over the cop she could have just mashed the gas and rolled right over him, instead she turned her wheel in attempts to avoid him. Didn't look too me like he was ever in grave danger but maybe he wanted to be certain he made it home safe that night. This is probably more of cops are very bad at their jobs than a bad shoot. I wonder if it was ever confirmed she was stealing.

It'll be telling if Fong nukes his pick on this one come Friday.

That kid is mentally ill, it runs in his family, and I am sure the staffs at LSU, Georgia, and now Nebraska are fully aware of such. Instead of getting him some help they'd rather gamble to see if he can keep his head on straight long enough to help win some football games. I know this is funny to joke about but that kid could have easily been killed in that situation.

As much shit as we give Aggie for not landing Bussey yet, I feel like Black should be committed to us by now.

Gerry has mentioned several times about McKinley's mom mentioning that the graduation rates have increased at Texas since Sark took over and that matters to her. I think many read or hear that and think that she cares about the professors who will be teaching her son or where the engineering school might rank. To me it just sounds like she cares about her son graduating after 3 or 4 years.
Please shut the fuck up.

If your version of being funny is running the same tired jokes into the ground then you aren't really funny. This board would be a lot better if some of you stopped trying to be comedians.

We haven't even started the '23 season and y'all worried about QB1 for the '24 season. A lot can happen between now and then and I find it odd some of you have a favorite on who you want to win the job seemingly based on absolutely nothing at this point.

When did Sweat become a jag? Could have swore we were all hoping he returned instead of taking his shot at the NFL.

After reading about our own scrimmage I was trying to determine if I felt better if the offense or defense “won the day”. After reading that I know I prefer to hear that the defense won the day in these settings. If what looch posted is true, they should probably be very concerned about their defense.

I know our $9.95ers are hit and miss but it’s painfully obvious Embody doesn’t know shit at least from what I’ve seen. Why anyone on that board would look to him for info is beyond me.

Anyone know how hard Texas is recruiting Bussey? I am not under the impression that Bussey is priority, but I could be wrong.
I don't think he becomes a priority unless we don't get Black or Mack. But I'm honestly not even sure if we want him as a defensive prospect.

this feels like as good a place to ask as any - would there be interest on this board in doing a weekly surly top 25 poll? we did it on shaggy years ago and it was kind of fun. if there are 12-15 people who would commit to sending in a ballot every week, i'd be happy to compile the results each week.
I'm in.

Colin Simmons Note
Sonny Shipp (LSU 247)

Colin Simmons Note
Sonny Shipp
Two days out from Colin Simmons and Caden Durham's announcement and the roller coaster is in overdrive.
Mike Roach put his crystal ball on Texas for the 5-star Simmons early Tuesday evening with a confidence level of 4. He joined other Texas analysts from other networks in siding with the Longhorns.
I talked to a couple of others in Texas and apparently there is a coach in the DFW area who has told some folks Simmons committed to Texas. For full transparency, I did not put Mike on the spot or even ask about that out of respect to see if that may have had anything to do with his pick because I trust the folks who gave me that and it would not have changed anything on my end.

I guess that question was answered. A real shitty move by Sonny Shipp, didn't need to include the blurb about Simmons already committing to Texas.

According to Justin Wells just now on IT live he reached out some source that said Colin has known for over a month where he's going.

I think it’s fairly obvious he’s a silent to both. Which is why silent commits are, and always have been, completely meaningless.
I figured he was going to LSU but their mod hedging makes me think that CS might not know where he’s going at this point. If he was a silent to LSU, Frank Wilson would know, and if he knew he would have told the on3 LSU guys resulting in more confidence from them and a higher percentage on their picks. I don't think he is a silent to LSU and it's obvious to me the LSU guys don't know shit and are only banking on his last visit being a weekend visit time to their team. I think this could go either way but I still lean towards him picking us based on my read of things.

How come when the LSU side talks about this they never mention Brian Kelly , it's always some dude that doesn't even coach his position and he doesn't even know who his DL coach would be
Because that some dude is where they are getting their information from. Also something I've noted is they mainly talk about their DL coach situation in regards to McKinley but don't consider it a factor for Simmons.

Look man, we had him as a silent going out of his visit and now here we are after his LSU trip, which is the place he's been slated to go for many years. This thing isn't going the right direction and he was the #1 recruit on our board. It is justifiable that people aren't really happy about this right now.
Honest question, what did you expect to happen after his weekend visit to LSU?

Pretty sure the info on Mack is not based on anything besides UF lost last week and we won.
