  1. These two stories were on my Yahoo feed on my phone a little earlier today…the photos lining up somewhat made me laugh.
  2. Drinking water from the garden hose after mowing the grass…microplastics be damned!
  3. Haha…being nearly 65, I gave up on trying to be hip and cool a long time ago…
  4. Posters (mostly 40+ y.o. women) on Facebook who start their post with "Hey peeps..." or "Yo peeps...". Just stop it already, using that terminology does not make you hip or cool.
  5. Not sure if this fit’s exactly in this thread, but the Flatonia KCs knocked it out of the park with their BBQ chicken fundraiser plates this evening. A very solid meal for $14.
  6. Episode 9 of 2018 season of Great British Bake Off...I think I'll probably die at the hands of the kidnappers...
  7. I will add that the buffet choices change everyday, so CFS is not always one of the selections. If you’re planning to travel for lunch, you might want to call first to confirm. Also, I believe the buffet is just M-F.
  8. Yes it is. There's a nice salad bar there too, but I usually skip it and go straight for the meats & sides.
  9. I stopped for lunch at Schobels in Columbus on Thursday, they had CFS on the lunch buffet and it was very good. $16.95 buffet included drink, dessert, homemade rolls, etc., and it was all good.
  10. Here’s some more of my Longhorn memorabilia: -Huston Street ROY batting helmet, signed at a Coop signing in 2005 or so; -Press Pass auto cards l bought on eBay, which I then framed myself; -photo signed at 2004 fan appreciation day with Mack, Chance Mock, Tony Jefferies, Vince Young, Derrick Johnson, and Cedric Benson; -mini-helmets: upper left, Mack on the 2006 Rose Bowl helmet, obtained thru the athletic office; upper right the 1969 helmet that I posted previously; lower left, Mack, Vince, R. Wright, & L. Dibble from 2005 fan day; and lower right D. Johnson, C. Benson, Mack, & Vince from 2004 fan day.
  11. I don't have Thujone level talent, but here's my attempt at MS Paint artwork:
  12. 4 all the way…and I would pull off that charred skin and scarf it down, and then stick the remnants in the fire to be charred again…yum!
  13. As an old fan of X-Files, I was always annoyed when Fox and Dana would drive up to a building at night: the building had some lights on both exterior and interior so it seemed the power was working. They would go inside and enter the room they were looking for and immediately turn on their flashlights to start searching the room...this always annoyed me because I just wanted to yell "HEY, turn the light switch on, there's obviously power in the building!" But I guess they needed to create suspense.
  14. Thanks mininghorn88. I have a total of 667 autographs of 220 different HOFers, which obviously means that I have multiples of most. There are 117 HOFers that I don’t have yet, primarily because they’re too expensive and/or very rare.
  15. I’m not much of a boot wearer, even though I grew up in Wharton County around a lot of farm and ranch folks. I have one pair of pointed toe boots that I bought at the old South Congress Cowtown Boots store about 35 years ago. I finally decided I would like another pair, so I bought this pair of python skin boots a couple of weeks ago across the border in Nuevo Progreso…cost was $134 and quality looks really good to my untrained eyes…name-brand python skin boots run about $300+ in the states, so since I’m generally a cheapskate, I’m happy with the purchase.
