fans who dive into that shit are ridiculous.  unless you’re a coach just cheer for the team.

Not enough pictures for you? Perhaps it hits above your IQ's paygrade?

Watson may very well attend UT.  I don't pretend to know.

It's just kind of interesting that your list above very closely fits two transfers who have already committed to Tech.  That would be Rice DT, Preston Gordon, and Oregon State WR and California native, Seth Collins.  The similarity of much of their and Watson's background sort of flies in the face of your argument.

Kliff may very well be implementing the Charlie Weiss recruiting message:

"Have you seen that pile of crap out there?!"

The real absurdity would be if anyone found any validation at all for Mehringer based on this one family's blandly positive line about him.

At this point, there isn't a single virtue to uphold in favor of Mehringer in an argument about the efficacy of having him on staff. Anyone doing so is ignorant and lost. Mehringer was shopped this winter and there were no takers, so we know Herman isn't in love with his output. He's a mundane recruiter and worse coach. He has no history of performance to point to in which someone can honestly claim that he's the highest and best use of WR Coach at Texas. Anyone making such statements has a competing agenda, such as "your not a corches!?!" or "I stand with Herman!!!" blindly, or they're Mehringer's mother or "special roommate".

I would take every other P5 WR Coach in the country over Drew Mehringer at this point. I don't know how many would be better and it is hard to fathom that any are worse, so I'd happily roll the dice and take the guy at KU, sight unseen, or the guy at Vandy, sight unseen, or anyone other random shitty program in the P5. The bar for replacing this guy is below sea level.

I'm in on this idea. Can we do the same thing with Warehime? Just pull names out of a hat.

He'll probably end up where a lot of former formal players end up after not paying enough attention to getting a worthwhile degree/getting good grades and hope their name recognition will help with fans who remember - auto sales or apartment finder.

Come on down to Chris Warren Kia of Beaumont for prices that can't be beat! I make deals harder than I hit Tech defenders.. remember that one time? $500 off and a free autographed photo of me running over that Tech guy!

My brother and his wife are both Tech grads, and decided to get married on a UT-Tech weekend.  He is one of those pretend fans that talks like he is a huge football fan, but probably couldn't name 5 people on the roster.

All of the other groomsmen were Tech grads and we got to sit around the church (no beer) huddled around our phones.  Tech beat our ass too that weekend, and the other dildo Tech groomsmen were insufferable.

he absolutely was.  but he wasn’t anywhere near the top of the talent we’ve had come through austin.  get serious.

Take the suspensions and drugs out of the equation and the kid is a first round draft pick. You are a dipshit and your schtick sucks.

Something I've always wondered-during the NBA draft there are loads of trades involving players that have already been drafted earlier in the draft, why does that rarely happen in the NFL draft?

Free agency is a much bigger deal than the draft typically with tiny rosters and huge salary caps, plus they value draft picks much differently. Lottery picks are the only ones worth a shit historically, and they also have the ability to structure trades much differently such as paying cash to offset player value etc.

One more thought: our conference is toxic to our program's perception.  This is something that seriously needs to be on CDC's radar.

Ya, it seems like it really hurt Mayfield and Rudolph and Washington and Malik and Connor and .....

So you're telling me we'll be moving a QB to TE? Gonna make a lot of 2016 Texas Longhorn fans veeeeerrrry happy.

If it had made fans in 2013 happy we may actually have had a TE drafted in the last 20 years besides Finley.

Glass houses and stuff dude... We support our club teams too. Granted, this is an actual national championship (3 to be exact) and not the one event thing that's apparently going on with A&M equestrian

How dare you imply that our crusaders against he who shall not be named are less worthy of respect than any other major college athlete.

I'd take Corey Raymond in a heart beat if we didn't have JWash or Naivar. Maybe some here would prefer having Orgeron as a dline coach over Giles, since Orgeron is one of the best recruiters in the country when he isn't the head coach.

Raymond being the same guy overseeing the personnel shit show they have now?

LSU is not going to be good in 2018. That isn't schtick and they're headed the wrong way.

-Their front 7 will be fine and they have the best LB in the SEC.

-Greedy Williams is a stud at one CB spot but they have nothing on the other side and like 3 total on the roster. Delpit's having collar bone surgery and the safeties are going to be "okay".

-They are thin as a leaf of paper on the defensive depth chart.

-If they don't suffer a rash of injuries, they'll be top 30 defensively, largely a function of playing shitty offenses.

-They don't have a QB. They have 3 shitty ones. Brennan is a stick and will probably be murdered in a game if he plays.

    -JAGs at TE and OL.

-TB will be solid, but losing Guice and the stud backup will be a problem that LSU hasn't had in over a decade.

-The WRs will be talented, but underutilized. It's the LSU way.

-The schedule includes 4 automatic losses in Georgia, Miami, Bama, and Auburn. Florida, MSU, and Arkansas aren't gimmes. ATM, Rice. SE LA, La Tech, and Ole Miss ensure a modicum of 5 wins.

-Numerous coaches are unhappy coaching under mushmouth and he's a micromanaging idiot.

-The state and school are cash poor. They won't be able to afford the buyout for dufus.

-O may legitimately leave Baton Rouge someday with LSU in smoking ruin.

This all bodes well for any team putting in work in the recruitment of LA players.

The only coach that matters is Aranda. They could fire Ogre, elevate Aranda to HC and keep numerous other assistants and make it palatable with some help from pissed off boosters. It will only take one year of shitting the bed for things to come to a head quickly down there.
