  1. That’s my thought too, in this situation. NFL will always be where’s it at for the superstars. They’ll up their game to beat anything college ball has to offer if it comes to it. My feelings on the RB room and the WR room are similar, but that is clearly a highly regarded take in most people’s minds.
  2. It’s not binary at all. I disagreed with your assessment on WR depth and thought two points were the most wrong. You think we’ll have to retain Worthy by ponying up the most dollars like last year and that we’ll also NEED to go fishing in the TP. I think there’s enough talent in house and incoming to remain relevant, especially if we land Hale. Additionally, I think we have more to sell than just dollars at seasons end, unlike last season. I’ll take the L if we lose Worthy to mercenary work or have to pony up a cool seven figures+ to keep him. I’ll also take the L if we go hard after other WR talent, which is funny, because of course we should do that regardless of how loaded we are. You take the L if our WR room looks much the same minus senior/depth chart attrition and adding the incoming class.
  3. I’ll gladly take the L if/when the time comes and I’m proven wrong, as we all should do. That’ll be after the season so plenty of time to hopefully enjoy some good football and more recruiting wins.
  4. TL:DR beyond the first sentence. I’m not blaming Worthy for Bama. You rejected my original statement about a possible sophomore season regression, worthy’s year end value, and only talked about inaccurate throws to Worthy from Hudson card. I pointed out he also dropped a good touchdown ball from Ewers vs. Bama. You really don’t like dissent. I get it. Remindme! 8 months.
  5. Kate Upton is never wrong, but I’m willing to look at other Kates when provided.
  6. Go back and read what I wrote. I agree that Riley is a good offensive coach. I said nothing about him not being a good head coach. I also said Worthy bolts to the highest bidder if he thinks it’s in his best interest regarding the NFL. However, if he’s a star here still, and we’re continuing to trend toward being a great team, he stays. Original post was about WR depth, which i still disagree with that take. If we get Hale, we’re well stocked going forward.
  7. CTJ, you used your other account here. I’m not assuming NIL slows down. I agree Riley is a good offensive coach. I think Sark is too but it remains to be seen if he’s a great head coach…so far so good this season. We know you/CTJ think Sark is a fraud. This is where the Worthy stuff, and making assumptions about 8 months from now, is madness. We could end up a 10+ win and borderline playoff team. We could also end up at 7-5. Likewise, USC could be a mirage. They’ve played nobody. Worthy doesn’t jump ship to USC just due to dollars if we’re good and they’re mediocre. Our NIL game is pretty strong. Contract years are also an important consideration. If Worthy thinks he’s better off elsewhere with regards to the draft, he’ll bolt to the highest bidder. If he thinks he’s good here with regards the draft, he/his agent may ask for more money, but he’ll probably stick around because we’ll pony up something even if it doesn’t match the top bid.
  8. remindme! 8 months. He dropped a Ewers throw vs Alabama as well. We win that game all other things being equal had he caught it. Also, just outright saying somebody knows nothing about NIL because they don’t agree with your take about the highest bidder and Worthy sometime in the future is absurd. Also, assuming all things are equal last transfer season to this upcoming transfer season with regards to Texas is absurd. Finally, riding Riley’s jock, for any Texas fan, is absurd. We’ll assess Worthy’s worth and situation at the end of the season. We’ll assess our WR depth at the end of the season, and, until then, I think you’re wrong.
  9. Yes, and if he doesn’t, that NIL lure package won’t be very big. Sophomore season regression can be a real thing.
  10. You big man you with your not so subtle attempt to make things personal. Let me bring it back from that cliff… We went 5-7 last year. This off-season and last off-season are separate animals, assuming, as I already stated, we don’t shit the bed. Next year is a contract year for Worthy. He’ll play where he thinks his long-term NFL future is most secure. If he and Ewers start hooking up the long ball, he’s staying.
  11. He wasn’t looking him in the eyes as he’d already ducked his head in complete subservience to the domination bearing down on him. Hence, the facemask collision.
  12. I disagree with the majority of your post, but these two takes are the worst of the lot. Worthy won’t be transferring unless our team shits the bed in conference play. With our current talent, regardless of Neyors return, we are not in need of a transfer. There are some ballers on the team right now that aren’t seeing the field due to depth. There are immediate impact players in the ‘23 class, should they be needed. Hale would add another one if he joins (There, made it recruiting relevant).
  13. FYI, that’s how you get raider rash. Wrap it or don’t tap it.
  14. Harris and his receivers are good. Adjustments were made. We won comfortably, going away, even with dumb ref calls. I hope that targeting gets reversed.
  15. Way to fight horns. I’m thrilled we took their best shot and wore them down. Get ready for another teams super bowl next week.
  16. Love the effort by worthy to run down and block.
  17. Really? He ratted out @rimbo for still being a Strong supporter. Which, is totally true.
  18. That’s the trophy [emoji471]. It’s a breakfast taco [emoji895]. Put that thing in the trophy case and keep it forever, because we aren’t losing to UTSA, ever.
