Since you're at the Omni, the Iron Bear would be a pretty close walk. If you want to follow irishtexan's suggestion of the West 5th/6th area, you can't go wrong with Highland Lounge or Oilcan Harry's.
Two years from now, when Sam is a senior, one of Thompson or Rising are still around and Roschon Johnson is a RS FR, running our starter a lot will seem a lot more feasible. Right now, not so much.
Lulz that’s such a ridiculous comparison by Chip. They’re not even similar. Quan was way quicker and much more agile laterally, while Duvernay is a straight line burner.
Just in case anyone forgot, Chip has 0 actual knowledge about football.
"However, it looked like it needed a lot more work. In the time I spent observing the drill, there were few completions. Receivers dropped balls, quarterbacks overthrew receivers, and it did not look like a crisp at all."
Sounds like a Tim Beck-coached offense.
Can't go wrong with Porter? He has pretty high bust potential if you ask me. He's never looked good in a single college game in his life. You're basically evaluating him as a prospect based on HS play and his game has a lot of question marks right now. I'm not saying he's a bad prospect or anything, but he has a ton of unknowns.
Yeah, we really need to try to hover around .500 at least until Shark and Cueto are both healthy. If we can be a little above 500 when MadBum comes back, I'll consider that a win. Hopefully some of our vets, like Pence and Longoria can pick it up. I'm a little worried that Pence is just past his prime and doesn't have much left. Maybe someone like Mac Williamson can get hot in AAA and get called up for support later in the season.
