  1. I'm not sure if grandkids are in our future. Our kids would love a base in Europe to visit other countries although it's not a subect we have discussed with them yet.
  2. I've been doing more research on Spain and it is becoming more and more attractive as an option. My wife is fluuent in Spanish so no issues there. Cheap housing, cheap private healthcare, much lower cost of living, beautiful countryside and easy access to the rest of Europe. At the earliest we are 5 years out and at the latest 7 years out.
  3. For us it is Makaga or Seville. Milder winters. We loved both cities.
  4. We have been talking about splitting our time between Spain or Portugl and the US.
  5. Yes it is. We lewarned that the hard way in July of 2018. Very hot, sleepless nights. I will never sail without A/C again.
  6. Vino Della casa Rosso is always the best choice in Italy and particularly so in a little restaurant in a small town.
  7. I felt the same way about Lawson in the limited time we saw him.
  8. The only thing I know aobut the Cancun airport is the damned button you have to press. Red means stop. That still there?
  9. There's a little restaurant in San Sano in Tuscany. They make a lemon sorbet and serve it in 1/2 of a frozen lemon skin. I swear it's the single best lemon dessert I've ever had and it is so simple. The lemons there are HUGE.
  10. Bernie Collins is the man. She knows her stuff like no other.
  11. And respect biciclists. There are a lot of them in the summer.
  12. He had me at wild boar ragu.
  13. Next time also do the northesastern coast of Malloza. A little bit of heaven on earth. Tons of British biciclists but fun people to hang around with. We also adored Palma. If we go back we will stay at Hotel Nixe Palace. It was spectacular.
  14. There’s a restaurant in north a Venice and the focus of the cuisine is pumpkins. It was fantastic. Reservations only. Osteria La Zucca No meat. I went not expecting to like it and loved it.
  15. The Moorings However much alcohol and water you think you need, double it.
  16. I'm with you there man.
  17. He's here. We're crying on each others shoulder.
  18. When we went to Ambergris Caye we were hanging out in San Pedro on a Thursday and the locals asked us if we were coming to boxing that night. I asked who boxes? They said they bring in Guatemalans and Mexicans. I asked who they root for. The answer was the Guatemalans because they hate Mexicans.
  19. Eat food truck food. You won’t be dissatisfied.
  20. No better way to see the BVI than that. We did the same the summer after Irma.
  21. Just be sure to get to Red Hook on one of those days and take the ferry over. Then you can begin planning a trip. I get it about the points.
  22. Stay on St. John. Thank me later.
  23. The Baths are very nice and if you're day tripping with a private captain there's a lot more to do on your boat day. If you like parties (raunchy ones) hit the Willie T on Norman Island while you are there. If you do that you can eat at Pirate's Bight which has really good food. If there was one thing I'd do for dinner on St. Thomas it would be to hire a local taxi driver and have them take you where the locals eat for the baked fish. It's amazing.
  24. Walls are the best way to enforce track limits.
  25. Just lose the damned GOogle wheels for one race and that livery is perfection.
