  1. There is no way to make a perfect track conversion, but here's the way I break this stuff down. Receivers with this kids' build typically improve on their 40 times around 0.2 seconds per year in high school. But Butler only has two times posted. The time of year also factors into this. Athletes run better times in the summer. Anyway, he improved by 0.3 seconds from his sophomore to junior year. If we conservatively give him a 0.2-second improvement in his senior season, that puts him at 10.9 100 meters. A 10.9 converts to a 4.54 forty-yard dash. It's not a perfect conversion, but it's worth noting. He posted a 7.07 60-meter time. That converts to a 4.43 forty-yard dash. If you watch his tape, look at his frame, and take into account that the kid isn't a full-time track star, it's easy to see he could improve his speed in college. It's easy to speculate he's faster than his limited track times. He shows excellent balance and field vision on film. Many on here thought Deandre Moore was slow, but I remember looking into that last year. His 100-meter conversion put him at 4.55 in the forty with a running back frame. That is on the high end of what I would call an acceptable time, especially for a physical slot. In the Herman and Strong tenure, we recruited "4-star" receivers who couldn't break 4.7 in the forty. That's a very big problem, especially if they don't have size. These recruiting services have no idea what they're doing.
  2. Tennessee has the same abbreviation as the bogeyman, you stupid sip.
  3. 6'1" 22 mph top speed on the field 4.3 to 4.4 times X replacement
  4. I drove right by this place over the summer coming back from the Royal Tyrell Museum in Drumheller. This area of Alberta is one of the most fossiliferous places in the world.
  5. Add olive oil and salt and then bake them for a healthier version. It makes a big difference.
  6. A ton of talent but still very raw. I hope we take 3 receivers to be on the safe side. He had six drops through the first 3 games this year. I think Raleek Brown and Golden are both high-upside weapons, but we need two accomplished receivers to go along with them.
  7. Elko doubles as a motion-capture actor for Shrek
  8. Big 12 always plays one of the more competitive bowls schedules. I'd still like to see Kansas and Iowa State get an opportunity to compete with a P5. Games like: LSU vs. Wisconsin (Wisconsin is in a transition year) So much potential wasted with this Bowl selection process: https://www.actionnetwork.com/ncaaf/college-football-bowl-game-tracker-updated-bowl-matchups-2023?utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=BrettMcMurphy
  9. Yes, I agree with this. I still think it should be seeded. I don't want to see Oregon vs. Liberty or a top-20 team play a 6/7-win paper tiger that feasted on their cupcake OOC schedule.
  10. Outside of the playoffs, this is one of the worst bowl seasons. Too many G5 vs. P5 matchups. Damn, it's bad. I wish they would seed the teams: #21 vs #22, #23 vs #24, etc. Make small adjustments to avoid rematches.
  11. Florida State is holding, grabbing and pulling down Louisville receivers on every single play. This is a straight-up setup by the refs. Wow. Speechless.
  12. And? That's not a guaranteed playoff appearance. The committee has stated their case every single week. Not only that, Bama needed a miracle to beat a very bad Auburn team one week ago. Anyway, this hurts FSU more than anyone. I think the committee will put Texas and Alabama in the playoff unless FSU blows out Louisville.
  13. I honestly think FSU needs a blowout win tonight to get in. I think the Alabama win hurt them more than anyone.
