Yep. Used it for syncing twin SU carbs.

I was a poor grad student and had to use the cheap method - piece of rubber hose in the ear and listening. SU (Seldom Understood) carb's were a piece of work. The manual was no help - it said "turn the adjusting nut until it sounds right". The problem was 3 dimensional. Had to get it sounding right on 2 devices and get the rpm's correct. Getting 2 of the 3 was easy.

  2. My favorite story was driving down I-59 to Tuscaloosa while in college. About midnight where the mercedes plant is now. Dark as it could be and suddenly the headlights turn off and the wipers start working. I was looking around for the UFO. Pulled into the rest stop and everything came back on and didn't happen again.

The prince of darkness is everywhere.........

Did not know this until recently. The wonderful Amphicar (both car and boat) used Lucas. Lucas and water together - what could go wrong? At least on land you can coast to the side of the road

Prince of Darkness? Heard all the jokes but never had any real issues with the 4 Triumphs we owned.

Company motto - be home before dark :)

Lucas disliked my MGA in college and tried to light it on fire by shorting the starter switch and melting a bunch of wires nearby. Luckily the MGA was so simple (only 2 fuses) that the fire repair only took 2-3 hours and part of that was getting to the store to but a roll of new wire...

That car is a 64 TR4 with a 5.0 HO Ford motor. Seller claims Rootes/Shelby should have used that platform instead of the Sunbeam.

Well the Tiger name on the back fooled me...

Anyone ever ski Snowbasin in UT?  I ask because this new airline, Avelo, based out of the Burbank Airport, flies to all of these secondary airports like Ogden.  SUPER cheap flights.  Thought maybe a family trip out of town may make sense if we fly in Ogden and hit Snowbasin.

R/t flight from Burbank to Ogden for 4 would be $313.  TOTAL.  For all 4 of us.

Yes but years ago so not much help. However I learned to ski at Ogden and it was great - almost no crowds during the week.  You can also fly into Ogen and drive down to SLC. It's not that far

Unless I am misunderstanding you, it does sound like you could use a fitting to get them sized down if they are just standard length men’s clubs. Off the rack is generally for a 5’9” man so shortening them an inch or so could definitely help.

Just shortening clubs without adjusting the lie angle isn't going to help much.

I haven't been skiing in a few years so my memory of equipment needed has faded. Do yall recommend ski pants only or the ski pants with straps that go over the shoulder like overalls? I probably sound like a dumbass for wording it like that but whatever

More serious reply. Doesn't matter. Just be conformable. Also Sierra Trading post online has a lot of decent stuff for good prices

  9. This was the hardest hit I ever saw and one of the worst calls ever. OU/Nebraska. The Nebraska guy get a 40 yard sprint and destroys Kelly Phelps. You can see his back bow out it shape of a helmet.  The worst call is they said it wasn't a fumble - forward progress had stopped. The forward progress part was correct.

Got to the 1:25 mark to start

Booked my trip to Park City for late Jan.  Our group (now up to maybe 15) is probably 60/40 skiers.  They are trying to convince us knuckledraggers to strap on skis for a day and hit Deer Valley.  I haven't had skis on my feet in 35 years.  Started snowboarding in '92 and have never looked back.  It would be pretty comical to try though.

You ought to hit DV if for nothing else but the environment. I haven't been in a few years but it was always my favorite because they limited the lift line and the surroundings were beyond first class. Not that I was a food critic but lunch was always much better than a burger on a paper plate.

But honestly, is that the right approach, just get into a contract that if it doesn't work out hamstrings you for years?  Or a bright young coordinator who has the upside?  I don't know, but these 8-10 year fully guaranteed deals seem like a potential disaster.

If we could only get David Geffen to donate the hundreds of millions he has to the medical school/health system to the football program instead, we'd be in business.  Sure, medical advancements may suffer, but we could win more games!

You said he hired Sexton - good luck

Had a chat with my buddy a couple weekends ago. They had opened up Wolf Creek and he is a Paramedic in Pagosa. Had a call to do get an injured skier. Picked up the dude and he had slipped and fallen on an exposed rock. Had a cut through his ass cheek to the anus.

Moral of the story, it never pays off to ski in October to tell people you've skied in October.

Back when I skiied a lot I never took my own skiis before Christmas. Just rent em with damage waiver.

if you can't pass organic chemistry, you're just dumb. it's not that fucking hard

i haven't touched it in 25 years but made an A and B. i was by no means a dedicated student. i still have no idea what chemical engineers do

As an old Chemical Engineer I am glad Auburn changed the courses. Now the last course is Organic. I had to take a year of Physical Chemistry after Organic. The department head had the incorrect view that every one of us was going to go for a PhD.
