I'm sure Browns wife is excited about the extra 2.5M a year, until she realizes Pittsburgh is probably the closest city she can spend it.

well Troy was south and east of Montgomery. At best this is a draw

I'm drooling so bad here.  My dream car is a 1969.5 A12 Roadrunner.  I've always loved the body line of that car, and the GTX.  Such a looker, and man I want one so bad.  Was planning on picking one up this past year but it didn't work out.

Fpr some reason I never liked the Charger that everyone drools over. However my dream Mopar is 70 or so Challenger. Really liked Vanishing Point also

I would like to know just how many items that Carroll Shelby signed in his lifetime. I'd also like to know the subset of cars and parts where an unsigned item is actually rarer than a signed item. I bet the list is longer than we'd think.

Back in early 90's I had a friend at IBM in Dallas with a genuine Shelby Cobra signed by him. He had bought it in the 60's for something really cheap like 5K because it only had a 289. Used to kid me that it was better than the IBM retirement plan - in hindsight he was probably right

It may be "checked," but it isn't stamped as there is no formal requirement for passage in the Schengen area.  I had it checked when I boarded a train in Germany heading for Austria, but that was along the lines of an ID check, not an immigration/passport checkpoint, because those aren't a thing in the Schengen area.  So, someone may have LOOKED at Cohen's passport if he traveled into Prague, but there wouldn't be a stamp.  Which was his point -- "look, see, no stamp!"  I have been to Austria, but I don't have an "Austria" stamp in my passport.  Because Schengen.

Yeah - customs over there is very hit/miss. Went thru Frankfort in 2013 and it was a drive by at customs - all they were looking for was a hand holding a passport up as you walked by. Same thing in Singapore which seemed really odd.

Do some of y'all with several daily wear watches change up the strap/bracelet back and forth just for a different look?  If so, where do you source the different straps?  OEM, custom leather shops, online shops?

It's odd but I wear my vintage Sub on a 10 buck military strap. Basically a NATO but with a traditional buckle. Never liked the Sub bracelet because wrist changed diameters with hot/cold and couldn't get a decent fit.

I'm dumping money (not $170k mind you) into my coupe because it's a family heirloom.  It was the family car when I was born, my folks brought me home from the hospital in it.  And it was my first car.  So maybe it was something like that and Dad died and the kids don't care.  We'll see that more and more as electrics come into fashion.

Know that feeling.  Just got back last week from delivering my 1962 MGA to a shop in Michigan to work on it. Was my Dad's and my twin brothers so I am getting it back on the road. It's not going to cost 100K but I am not interested in the cost (yet). Had a similar one in the 80's so i know what I am getting into.

I would really like to know if the true reason Pete decided to throw the ball was simply to rub Lynch and his fellow conspirators  noses in it? It isn’t a secret who Pete Carroll sided with when Sherman was so outspoken about how much better Russell Wilson has it under Caroll. And how Caroll felt about Sherman and the Legion of Boom taking their bitch to the media.

As many times that I have watched Caroll answer the run throw question, you can tell he isnt so much trying to answer the question, as he is deflecting away from the real reason he threw the damn ball. And how his pettiness cost him, and Seattle a Super Bowl.

I will say this - doubt Carroll just decided he had to throw there. That's a lot of decision making in a few seconds. In addition the Seattle player who was now starting for New England knew the play was coming and New England had practiced a lot against that play - which means they were expecting it for any number of reasons - and the DB reacted as expected. Back then someone posted a photo taken from the left side and behind Wilson which showed what looked like a wide open receiver right after the snap. The didn't know Butler was streaking into the photo to make the grab

That’s not true, in both college and the nfl the entire body needs to be past the line of scrimmage for it to be a violation.

It does not matter where the ball is, if at least some part of the body is behind the line

Yep - I guess I am wrong. The wording does say entire body. However if the throwing arm is not past the line then neither is the ball.

I was referring to you saying less than a ball. the spot to measure is from the QB's back toe. that is the only thing that needs to be behind the LOS. Yes, it was very close in the spirit of things. when watching for the first time i thought he looked like he was past based on how far he ran up before launching.

Unless high school has different rulesthan college - the ball has to be behind the line. Doesn't matter where the foot is.

  10. It is very pricey but the Tumi backpack I have is the best I could imagine. It went all over the world with for years at IBM before retiring.  The best feature was the design of the shoulder straps in relation to the pack. There was never any sagging of the bottom of the bag while walking. It stayed high on shoulders all the time. I got it as a reward but would not give it up

I think Ford was right in thinking the pardon would help the nation heal.  He did a good job of letting people get on with their lives.  (Also not around then).

A good read on a President's ability to self-pardon.  It argues that he cannot.

A lot of people felt the parson should have been done after a conviction.... As it was Nixon started claiming "elder statesman" status

Question: currently making a table, and it’s my first major project. About to be done sanding and getting ready to stain.

A lot of people have given me differing advice: do I need to apply pre-stain before staining? I heard it can help softwood stain look more even, but some others have told me it’s not necessary. What say you? Top of table is Douglas fir, base is yellow pine.

Take a piece of scrap and try both - see which you like best

A very good choice. Too bad there was so much red tape and no one has released the soundtrack. IIRC the first movie for Michelle Pfieffer

  14. Possibly clogged AC condensate line - look at a model specific forum for more info.  And if that is what it is - unclog it NOW. Don't ask me how I know this but on 90's era Jeeps the drain tube falls off if you don't add a clamp. Drive for four hours and have literally an inch of water in passenger floor. Jeep dealer in Florida knew instantly what it was. Hey Einstein - maybe tell Jeep to add the clamp at the factory if you see this often enough. Had to pull all the capret and seats when I got back home.
