  1. Aggie now 1-9 all time when on game day.
  2. Remember when Clemson used to have seemingly endless dynamic playmakers at WR and RB? Yeah, those days are long gone.
  3. 6 turnovers and they’ve only out gained Temple by 100 yards. I think their defense is solid but that offense? Woof.
  4. 0/11. Lol
  5. 0/10 third down. That line is a mess. Jackson Arnold is not making it through this season healthy. Zero chance.
  6. Lot of ins and outs to this Curry/KAT contract comparison. My unwanted thoughts: 1. Curry was grossly underpaid for a good portion of his career. He signed an extension coming off injury at well below market value, which in no small part allowed them to sign Durant and everyone else for the meat of their run. I'm pretty sure he was getting about half of what Durant was making when KD signed with them. He's owed back pay. 2. The Warriors are not going to be competing for championships in the foreseeable future and are likely to not even make the playoffs. They have the most expensive building in the league and he is the most important person in the history of that franchise. Even with a crap team, they still have seats to fill and people will come out just to see him, even if he's washed and they're losing. We saw it with the Lakers and Kobe. He's worth it to them, just to put butts in the seats. Conversely, they can't have him show up in a Lakers uniform goofing around with Lebron and have a nice tribute video to say "thanks for everything". They just can't let that happen under any circumstances. 3. KAT seems like a nice enough guy and is no doubt talented, but on the basketball court he's a brain dead, mangy, flea-ridden dog. His contract is enough of an albatross, but it's the combination of it with the Gobert contract that makes it untenable for the maintenance of the rest of the roster. The Twolves got so much mileage out of that Denver series, it's not even funny. I still can't explain the game 7 second half Nugget collapse. But if not for that, we're having a completely different conversation. One where they blow a 2-0 lead going home for games 3 and 4, and losing by 45 in their own building to close it out in game 6. I still chalk up that entire series as a fluke. And for them to get pasted in 5 by the very flawed Mavericks just lends more credence to the idea. As great as Edwards is, I still refuse to believe you can win a championship with Gobert and KAT playing major minutes for your team until I see it with my own eyes.
  7. It's so annoying that we are going to have to put up with the hype for at least another week. Hopefully Nebraska takes them down next week and CSU does the week after and all this will go away.
  8. So what's the rest of this class look like? Terry, another DT or two, and maybe a couple of DBs?
  9. lol. Fantastic interception. God I’ve missed college football.
  10. Western Carolina looks better than NC State so far. Up 14-7 at end of 1st.
  11. Walker isn't even on a real contract. He's on an exhibit 10 deal, which is essentially a training camp invite. I'm not the world's biggest LWIV fan, but it's bizarre that he didn't even get a NBA minimum deal. He's 25, athletic as hell, and shot 38% from three last year on decent volume playing 17 minutes per game. And he's a good dude, allegedly. Granted, he has the basketball IQ of a tree stump, but this is a head scratcher for me. I can't imagine why Brooklyn didn't re-sign him for the minimum. He would be a prototypical tank commander for them this season - some exciting highlights mixed in with overall losing basketball. Odd.
  12. I love it. That rollercoaster isn't going to clickety clack it's way to the top all by itself.
  13. Some people I work with at UT Health are not particularly happy about it. Associating with UTSA doesn't really elevate their brand from a prestige perspective. Other schools are making runs at their faculty.
  14. @bizzle it’s about that time again.
  15. Does anybody else think Georgia Tech should be on upset alert after just notching their biggest win in forever AND having to travel back from Europe? Georgia State has a new coach and a bunch of transfers in and out, but if there was ever a recipe for a letdown it's gotta be this one. Maybe this belongs in the betting thread, but 21.5 seems like a crazy number in this game. I think Georgia is horribly overrated. They are living off their rep and for the reasons you listed, are going to struggle on offense. They had the cushiest schedule imaginable last season and lost to the only good team they faced in what was essentially a home game in Atlanta. I think they have a better than decent shot of missing the playoffs with games at Texas, at Bama and at Ole Miss. But I do think they beat Clemson in a terrible, low scoring, borderline unwatchable game. I think LSU takes down USC. The LSU offensive line is going to control the game. USC lost 5 of their last 7 games last season, and that was with Caleb Williams doing Houdini shit all over the field. They hemorrhage points and I have zero faith in Lincoln Riley fixing them. The A&M / ND game is fascinating, at least from a rooting for an earthquake perspective. If the ND oline can hold up with its youth, I think they win easily. Otherwise I think it's a coin flip.
  16. Nothing more? Yeah I can’t think of anything else going on at Michigan over that time period other than good ole Jim Harbaugh identifying hidden gems and coaching them up.
  17. So... that's 5 OL committed and we have 16 on scholarship for this current season. Dear lord we've come a long way since that one year we only signed Hayden Conner and Max Merril. Thank God for Kyle Flood.
  18. Texas population is what, 6-7 times that of Louisiana? I would expect them to take a lot more from Texas than we get from Louisiana just by the numbers. But quality > quantity.
  19. For sure on the BBIQ, with the other 20% being that he's a tweener -- not really big or long enough to play inside and not really skilled or quick enough to get shit done on the perimeter on either end. He came into camp either last year or the year before a lot slimmer too, and seemed to gain weight as the season went on. He needs to focus on being a 3 and D guy, but because the team was so shitty and directionless in his first couple of years, he's had to play a bigger role and initiate offense when he really had no business doing so. I think it fucked up his development. I'm rooting for him because he's great in the room and in the community, but this is a make or break season to see if he's part of the core going forward.
  20. SEC - Bama over Texas B10 - Oregon over Ohio State ACC - FSU over Miami B12 - KSU over Utah Playoff Teams: Bama, Texas, Missouri, Ole Miss, Oregon, Ohio State, Penn State, KSU, Utah, FSU, Miami, and UTSA. Final Four: Bama, Oregon, Ole Miss, Texas Championship: Texas wins a rematch against Bama to come full circle on the 2010 Rose Bowl. Gotta go full homer, here. Bold predictions: 1. We get bullshit upsets in the Big 12 and ACC title games (along with some conference ref conspiracies) that kick Georgia and/or ND out of the playoff, and this auto bid stuff ends up with a very short shelf life. 2. UTSA making the playoff as A&M goes 7-5 makes everybody in College Station start having hardcore buyers remorse on Elko and start pining for Traylor. 3. OU has a losing record.
  21. Are you fucking serious? The dline is obviously a concern but the offensive line room hasn't been stacked like this in probably 40 years. And you're bitching about one recruit going to OU? Even in Mack's prime, offensive line depth and development was a consistent weak spot.
