  1. There's nothing worse than when mom and dad fight about Tight Ends and their willingness or lack thereof to block.
  2. I get where you're coming from. I really do. But this was personal because former teammates Chris Paul and JJ Reddick are reportedly very close friends. It was a friend lifting the spirits of his friend's kids who just lost all of their sports memorabilia that they had been collecting their whole lives. I have a hard time viewing that as tone deaf, despite how wealthy they all are.
  3. I saw the previews for this a few weeks back... and I was just so damn confused.
  4. Spurs this season with Sochan: 9-13. Spurs this season without Sochan 10-6.
  5. @Navin R. Johnson I know you are a random son of a bitch and a run of the mill bastard, but can you please stop quoting the longcats from Frenzy? Also... they have had a helluva lot more than 12 peasant years, with or without us in the same conference.
  6. You just put up the @Js1 bat signal.
  7. This thread has unsurprisingly reached a new low. And now, I have too, googling Carson Beck's Snapchat sexts. If only we had an actual football game coming up to distract us.
  8. Rough night. I think this team is due for a market correction on their record. I hope I’m wrong but they’ve had a home heavy schedule and a negative overall point differential. I think they’re a bit due to rack up some L’s. Ending up in the lottery again wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.
  9. Love the Cavs role players. They get so much out of Wade, Levert, Niang, Jerome, Strus and Okoro.
  10. This is a really entertaining basketball game so far. I can bitch about the excessive three point shooting in the league but there ain’t nothing wrong with the way this one is being played.
  11. What? Beating Old Dominion, Akron and Wofford didn't impress you? You think beating Mississippi State instead of Akron would have made a difference?
  12. Is the SEC really going to 9 conference games? Ignoring for a moment that ESPN would have to pony up to make it happen, I can't see it unless they get the committee to guarantee them four playoff spots. The SEC could only get three teams into the playoffs with an 8 game schedule this year. I can't imagine they are going to cannibalize their playoff hopes for more regular season cash. Seems like it would ultimately devalue the overall product and really change the narrative if they aren't dominating the playoff bracket. This conference made its bones off of bullshit scheduling and national championships.
  13. I’m a big fan of Liuzza’s on Bienville too but I understand they are under new management. Not as much of a poboy place but love those schooners of beer and killer food too.
  14. I second Parasols for the roast beef. I'm not a huge fan of the atmosphere at Domilise, but the poboys are damn good. The best poboys I've had in years were at Liuzza by the Track, when I was there a couple of months ago. It's not in the Garden District, but well worth the 15 minute uber to the Fairgrounds. BBQ shrimp poboy is the GOAT for me, and their other poboys were incredible as well.
  15. Welp, I just got the text from Southwest that my flight from SA to Dallas Friday morning may be affected by weather. If those fucksticks cancel my flight I'm gonna be pissed.
  16. Sochan is nearly unplayable at crunch time. That’s two straight games where nobody is within 10 feet of him at the arc at winning time and he isn’t even close to making it. It’s not an accident that he is that open. He’s killing the spacing and bogging down the entire offense. I agree with @ztejas that Castle needs those minutes. He’s a playmaker who can create for himself and others. But they definitely can’t play him with Sochan unless they want to multiply their spacing woes.
  17. Worst loss of the season. At least this helps with their pick.
  18. Can’t believe they are sweating this one out.
  19. Holy shit joker was open for that. So lucky to be playing ot.
  20. The cactus looks like it’s giving everybody the finger. Kinda respect the attitude and effort despite the geography challenges.
  21. It’s not just a 1b option, it was a 1b option who is a wholly unique floor spreading big that opened up the entire floor and cleared out the paint for his drives. Instead they have a ball stopper in Randle and a 7’2” dude you don’t have to guard outside of four feet. I can’t think of two worse archetypes to play with Ant. The Gobert contract and second apron made that trade even worse than it was at the time, and it was atrocious when they made it. They were forced to do something to get away from the apron and they needed assets to unload Rudy, all of which they ironically had to give up to get Rudy. They were in a no win situation and basically did the only thing they could have done. Vincenzo has been playing great lately after a bad start which lessons the sting a little but they took a bath on that trade to recover from purely self inflicted wounds.
  22. Nice to win a close one against a good team on the road. Wemby v Jokic lived up to all the hype. Two of the most unique bigs in nba history.
  23. I could talk myself into Jokic being top 5 all time. He’s got an answer for everything.
  24. Wemby is ridiculous. 15 and 11 in 11 minutes so far.
  25. The play clock had just started when ND ran their guys off. It hits about 19 or so when they are all off the field. Even with Georgia sprinting out there, the official didn't move off the ball until there was 5 seconds on the clock. Just monumentally stupid. Even a slight delay from Georgia screws that whole thing up.
