  1. They didn’t win game 15 last year until March 17. They’ve had a home heavy schedule so far so maybe it’s a little inflated but they haven’t played many east teams either. But this is more fun than those ridiculous losing streaks they had last year. Re: Fox. I absolutely love him. He would be amazing next to Vic. They have the assets to make it happen, but I’d be more concerned with his contract and the fact that he’s repped by Klutch. Rich Paul isn’t going to give out a discount so he can play for a winner. And if the spurs deplete the war chest for him, it completely guts their long term plans for sustainability. So unless Sacramento wants to give him away for peanuts and/or he wants to sign for less than market value, I don’t see it happening.
  2. I have to think they’re rather happy with the season, even with the ass kicking last night. They beat Michigan. They made the playoff. They have been completely irrelevant for a million years. Just giving their fans a glimpse into success of college football at the highest level has to be considered a massive win for the school. They had zero business in that game but considering where they came from? Yeah, they should walk away feeling happy. But I hope like hell they serve as a cautionary tale for the committee going forward.
  3. This. So much this. I don’t have much faith in SMU matching up to their talent, but Franklin is such a big game fraud. If SMU can keep it close, I think PSU will find a way to choke it away.
  4. He’s 66-10. They have been ranked in the top 5 almost every week he’s been their coach. He’s never lost more than two games in a season. I can’t imagine them firing him. But man it would be glorious if they did and then botched the hire.
  5. The Ohio State perspective on this game is super interesting. Those fans are going to be angsty as hell. A loss would really turn the screws on Day even though his record is ridiculous. They are the most entitled fan base in college football. Even their crap coaches like Bruce and Cooper were knocking out 10 win seasons. They are so due for a walk through the desert. I’m rooting so hard for them to lose in the most excruciating way possible.
  6. I hate to break the news to you but Hope is dead. And that was the biggest pussy punt in the history of college football. Indiana had no business in this game. None.
  7. Fuck Notre Dame, always. I hope they lose by 100. But I don't think Indiana is one of the best 12 teams in the country, either. If they lose bigly, I hope there is going to be a lot of discussion about their worthiness in the field, especially considering their nonconference schedule.
  8. Suck it Atlanta. Now stop beating Boston and Cleveland and go slink your ass back into the lottery.
  9. Maybe if they don’t turn it over every other possession in ot they might pull this thing out.
  10. Wemby needs to take over this fourth quarter.
  11. The all star game is completely unwatchable. The players should be embarrassed about what they have been doing out there. So fuck them for not trying and for making a mockery out of the game. I don’t know if this is going to work but they had to do something.
  12. Big step for you posting negative articles about somebody besides Texas. Congrats!
  13. Yeah, I’m not seeing it. They are also without Jaylin Williams, their other big. They will be better and bigger when both he and Holmgren get back. In general though they haven’t been shooting it from three as well as they did last year. And are still 20-5. I think they’re going to be okay. They are also still very young. That team is a motherfucker that is only going to get better.
  14. On top of all their transfers, they are losing the heart of their defense to graduation: Stutsman, Downs, and Bowman. Woodi Washington and Dajon Terry played a lot too. Their defense was actually very good last year, especially considering how putrid their offense was. Next year could be the worst Oklahoma team since John Blake went 3-8 in 1996.
  15. I went last night for the first time this year. It was ugly other than their third quarter run. Credit Minnesota’s defense I guess, but there were a ton of careless turnovers and lots of unforced errors. That’s the worst I’ve ever seen Castle play. Really rough night for the rookie. I like him better with the starters than coming off the bench. Weird statline of the night: Naz Reid 1-10, 3 points but +26. Also, it would absolutely drive me crazy if Gobert played for the Spurs. I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be to watch him botch easy play after easy play, and then all of a sudden he starts making them.
  16. Wesley with +19 in 25 minutes, 8 assists and 1 turnover with CP, Jones and Castle out. Champagnie has become a real rotation piece. He shouldn’t be starting for a contender, but he plays good defense and his shooting is absolutely critical on this team. Portland is terrible but that’s a good win down 17 on the road shorthanded. This team is getting to the point where it’s typically beating the teams it’s supposed to beat. They didn’t hit 13 wins last year until march 3. Things are obviously headed in the right direction.
  17. Jokic is in the same universe. But it’s depressing to watch those highlights because nowadays on every one of those fast breaks someone would be drifting off to the three point line instead of going to the hoop.
  18. You know what really makes sense in New Orleans? Luizza by the Track. I was there a couple of weeks ago and the bbq shrimp poboy was transcendent. The fried oyster was absolutely fantastic as well. Flawless execution on a classic. And then we threw down some crazy roast beef / horseradish poboy that was unreal, too.
  19. What the fuck are the Hawks doing? These motherfuckers keep losing to the Wiz, Bulls and Pistons while beating the Celtics, Bucks, Cavs and Knicks. It's still way early, but with all the other dogshit in the east that pick isn't looking as tasty as it once did.
  20. We're replacing a three year starting QB (I know... I know... but still), 4/5 of the oline, Bond, Helm, all the DTs, Barron, Mukuba and maybe Taffe. I don't see any way in hell the defense plays at the same level.
  21. “Some coaches would rather listen to guitar pickers than work hard.” Fuck Barry Switzer, forever.
  22. What would have really taken that video to 11 is if he finished it off by punching Zach Collins in the balls.
  23. Your other options for Lexington are Louisville and Cincinnati. Each are about an hour and half away.
  24. I absolutely love this. It’s going to be entertaining no matter the outcome. But I do think he’ll be reasonably successful. Mack has set the bar rather low at UNC. Holding James Madison to less than 70 would be an improvement.
