this is officially out now.  some early, non-spoilery thoughts:

    - it's only 8 episodes.  that surprised me.

    - the first 2 episodes are hit and miss, because they're resolving a lot of the (massive) season 4 storyline and getting things in to place for season 5.

    - episodes 3 and 4 are GREAT.  they feel so much like seasons 1-3.  each episode has a couple of hiccups, but overall they are easily the best episodes of the revival.  i can't wait to watch the final four and if potential future seasons are going to be as good as this, i hope they have many more.

It's only the first half of the season.   8 more episodes will drop later this year.

Your post makes me optimistic for season 5.  I watched the remix of season 4 and found myself not really caring for it anymore than the original season 4.  Glad to hear it's returning to form.

I can pay the fine if I get caught.

    felony? Never.

    drug possession? Never

    assault?  never.

    crime with a gun?  never.

Stop acting like it's so fucking hard or that crime is some communicable disease.  The approach is pure bullshit.

It's possible to both recognize that you shouldn't break the law and you should be prepared for consequences if you choose to AND recognize that our justice system is completely broken, inhumane, ineffective, and needs reform.  Especially when our drug laws are just damn stupid and make no sense.

There are also plenty of innocent people in prison.  Plenty of innocent people have also been given the death penalty but exonerated later by DNA evidence.  How does your "just don't do anything wrong and you don't have to worry about it" policy work out for them?

Check the date of when the story was written. Trump wasn't even the Republican nominee at that point. The point is that the bus was made during Obama's administration, yet there was no backlash about it from the anyone at the time, but your retards got to get your TDS going.

Cool story.  I didn't realize Obama personally built that bus.

It was a private corporation.  The backlash of people pointing it out now is that the picture symbolizes what our own government under Trump's leadership is doing -- tearing children apart from their parents.  That is the outrage.

MSNBC's Nicole Wallace stops reading Trump tweets on air: 'These are boldface lies'

MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace cut herself off mid-sentence while reading President Trump’s tweets on-air Friday, calling them "boldface lies."

“I’m not reading anymore of this,” Wallace said with a laugh. “These are boldface lies and as his audacity and his sort of fantasies expand, I wonder what role you think the truth plays in this for any of them."

Wallace had been reading a series of the president's tweets in which he again attacked the FBI's use of an informant during his campaign, suggesting the agency used a top-secret spy to monitor his team before it began its investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Trump also accused Democrats of planting the informant in his campaign “for the sole purpose of political advantage and gain.”

"The Democrats are now alluding to the the concept that having an Informant placed in an opposing party’s campaign is different than having a Spy, as illegal as that may be," he tweeted. "But what about an 'Informant' who is paid a fortune and who 'sets up' way earlier than the Russian Hoax?"

"Can anyone even imagine having Spies placed in a competing campaign, by the people and party in absolute power, for the sole purpose of political advantage and gain?" he wrote in a second tweet. "And to think that the party in question, even with the expenditure of far more money, LOST!"No evidence has emerged that the FBI spied on Trump's campaign. The informant, identified in media reports as Stefan Halper, is an American academic who reportedly met with at least Trump three advisers in 2016.

The only time this thread gets funnier and more delicious is when one of the butt hurt ones come here and ask, why after a year is this thread still going strong ?

    ANSWER:

Because 1, it's funny to see those butt hurt lame, posts. And 2, its always fun to say Hillary isn't president.

    Hilary ain't president.

This thread is a reminder that the butthurt is still strong with conservatives that Hillary Clinton accomplished more than you blowhards could accomplish in 100 lifetimes and it drives you insane.  She walked away unscathed from the countless made up controversies you invented for her, and the worst thing you can say about her is she won't be president.

A woman named Karen Vaughn, whose son was KIA in Afghanistan in 2011, wrote this.  It has been pasted by several of my relatives on FB in the last couple of weeks.  If you want insight into how some people can still believe in Trump, read this:

Comment from KAREN VAUGHN Mother of Aaron Vaughn, Navy Seal

“Sometimes God uses the no-nonsense, salty sailor to get the job done. Appreciating what the man is doing doesn’t mean we worship the salty sailor or even desire to be like the salty sailor. It doesn’t even mean God admires the salty sailor. Maybe He just knows he’s necessary for such a time as this.

I believe with all my heart that God placed that salty sailor in the White House and gave this nation one more chance in November 2016. Donald Trump is what he is. He is still the man he was before the election. And without guilt, I very much admire what that salty sailor is accomplishing.

He’s not like me. That’s okay with me. I don’t want to be like him. I will never behave like him. I know we’ve NEVER had a man like him lead our nation. It’s crazy and a little mind blowing at times. But I can’t help admire the ability he has to act with his heart rather than a calculated, PC, think tank-screened, carefully edited script. I still believe that is WHY he became our President and WHY he’s been able to handle a landslide of adversity and STILL pass unprecedented amounts of good legislation for our country AND do great works for MANY other nations, including Israel.

I’m THRILLED with what he’s doing for my nation, for the cause of Christ (whether intentional or unintentional, doesn’t matter to me), and for the concept of rebuilding America and putting her FIRST. I will not be ashamed of my position because others don’t see him through the same lens.

Should it matter to me if a fireman drops an f-bomb while he’s pulling me from a burning building? Would I really care about what came out of his mouth in those moments? Heck no! I’d CARE about what he was DOING. He wasn’t sent there to save my soul and I’m not looking to him for spiritual guidance. All I’m thinking in those moments is, “Thank you, Jesus, for sending the fireman.”

This man is crass. Okay. He’s not careful with what he says Okay. You feel offended that he’s not a typical statesman. Okay. But he is rebuilding the nation my son died for…the nation I feared was on a fast track to becoming a hopeless cause. Forgive me if I’m smiling.”

Is there a comprehensive list somewhere of what all legislation he has passed?  Other than the tax cut bill, I can't think of hardly anything he's done that wasn't by executive action.  His presidency, at least to me, appears to be set to be erased by the stroke of the pen by the next D president that comes along, the same as he's doing to Obama.

I'm surprised this isn't getting more attention.  A sitting president has a grudge against somebody so he is actively using the power of the presidency to hurt that person's private business.  I know this gets thrown around a lot, but this is what dictators do.

And let's get to the real reason Trump hates Bezos.  I mean, yeah, Bezos owns the Post and it's a media outlet that's very critical of Trump.  But if we get to the crux of it, Bezos is an actual successful person and a self made man who became the richest man in America.  Bezos makes Trump look like a pauper, and he didn't have his daddy and the government and foreign banks bailing him out when everything he touched turned to shit.  Bezos doesn't have to grift to be rich, and that pisses the president off bigly.

    Quote

Earth just had its 400th straight warmer-than-average month thanks to global warming

It was December 1984, and President Reagan had just been elected to his second term, Dynasty was the top show on TV and Madonna's Like a Virgin topped the musical charts.

It was also the last time the Earth had a cooler-than-average month.

Last month marked the planet's 400th consecutive month with above-average temperatures, federal scientists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced Thursday.

The cause for the streak? Unquestionably, it’s climate change, caused by humanity's burning of fossil fuels.

"We live in and share a world that is unequivocally, appreciably and consequentially warmer than just a few decades ago, and our world continues to warm," said NOAA climate scientist Deke Arndt. "Speeding by a '400' sign only underscores that, but it does not prove anything new."

Climate scientists use the 20th-century average as a benchmark for global temperature measurements. That's because it's fixed in time, allowing for consistent "goal posts" when reviewing climate data. It's also a sufficiently long period to include several cycles of climate variability.

"The thing that really matters is that, by whatever metric, we've spent every month for several decades on the warm side of any reasonable baseline," Arndt said.

NOAA's analysis found last month was the 3rd-warmest April on record globally. The unusual heat was most noteworthy in Europe, which had its warmest April on record, and Australia, which had its second-warmest.

Portions of Asia also experienced some extreme heat: In southern Pakistan, the town of Nawabshah soared to a scalding 122.4 degrees on April 30, which may have been the warmest April temperature on record for the globe, according to Meteo France

Argentina also had its warmest April since national records began there in 1961.

North America was the one part of the world that didn't get in on the heat parade. Last month, the average U.S. temperature was 48.9 degrees, 2.2 degrees below average, "making it the 13th-coldest April on record and the coldest since 1997," NOAA said

For the year-to-date, the Earth is seeing its 5th-warmest start to the year.

A separate analysis of global temperature data from NASA also found last month was the third-warmest April on record.

Another milestone was reached in April, also related to the number "400": Carbon dioxide — the gas scientists say is most responsible for global warming — reached its highest level in recorded history at 410 parts per million.

This amount is highest in at least the past 800,000 years, according to the Scripps Institute of Oceanography.

I'm sure XR4ticlone LOVES OPM when it comes to his pet projects like bombing brown people half way across the world.  When it comes to things that actually advance the interests of this country like education and health care, he quickly hides his bible under his pillow to hide the fact that Jesus advocated paying your taxes.

  12. John McCain, John Kerry......man, Republicans sure love the troops.  They love them so long as they fall in line and it's politically convenient for them.  Speak against the cause and they'll throw any troop under the bus and piss on their legacy.

Conservatives have literally gone insane.  Has there ever been a group of this many dangerously stupid people in such high numbers?  I hope you "both sides" morons and the "isn't it all enteraining" nihilisits are paying attention.  We're fucked.

  15. It seems like a few posters such as Badmofo, Clear Lake Horn, and Peter Jamz are still over there just sucking each other's dicks.  There's no other activity except pure, uninterrupted dick sucking by Badmofo, Clear Lake Horn, and Peter Jamz.  They must really all love sucking dick, but I'm no authority, only a witness.  What say you?  Dick sucking seems to be the conservative position these days.

Agreed, and it's the same with Lobster.  Too much work and money for little food.

Fun fact about TCU, our ROTC commissions more officers as a % of our enrollment than A&M does according to the Houston Chronicle.  Most recent figures in the article were 2012 when A&M commissioned 154 officers out of the Fighting Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets and little old TCU commissioned 45.  Given that A&M's enrollment is at least 5x that of TCU, it looks like the Corps needs to pick up the pace.
