No kidding about the odds of having native american genes. She should take a private DNA test to see for sure and then make it public, assuming it shows the heritage.

I would agree, except then her detractors would just bitch about it not being a long-form DNA test.

College football Reddit is full of a bunch of thin skinned bitches who can’t take a damn joke. Also, say one not nice thing about aggy and you get a warning from the mods. Do it again and you get banned from the subreddit.

It’s a circle jerk community and it’s nauseating.

I have the opposite experience.  As long as you're not just trolling or straight up being an ass, the moderation doesn't seem heavy handed at all.  I go out of my way to belittle aggy, Mizzou, and Nebraska about the way they left the Big 12 regularly when it comes up and I've never been banned.  In my experience, most fanbases on Reddit, especially other SEC fans, shit on A&M way more than us.  With regards to UT, the worst I see is people meme-ing fairly innocent stuff.  ("Don't let this distract you from remembering that Kansas beat Texas.")

It all seems good-natured to me.  In fact, I've seen many people express their desire for us to be good again because it's "good for college football."

They don't care about the City they like to use it to rub it in the other sides face with regards to a large number of failed Democratic ideas.

Precisely.  I wonder why conservative news outlets are always harping on Chicago's murder rate and shootings when St. Louis's murder rate is almost three times as high?  St. Louis, Washington D.C., Newark, NJ, New Orleans, Milwaukee, Detroit, and Baltimore all have higher murder rates per capita than Chicago.  Kansas City is about the same.  Yet every conservative news commentator and our president only seem to mention what a war zone Chicago is.  I wonder why that is?

Oh, wait,  we do know.  It's because a certain black president is from there and because it's known for its Democratic political machine.  That's all it is.

  5. And that's fair.  They should have a parking garage.  But it's still not difficult to find a place to park within short walking distance from the stadium.

When it comes to football, we all know that Gary Patterson walks on water. They could have a disaster season like they did in 2013 (4-8) and he's perfectly fine. Also, does he have his own personal towel boy since he sweats like a mother fucker? But besides football and athletics, tell me about their school, their culture. Also, what significance did Amon. G Carter play in the development of that university?

He guided a perennial losing program of multiple decades from Conference USA to a P5, won the Rose and Peach Bowls and took TCU to multiple top 10 finishes.  He's allowed occasional bad seasons to rebuild.

  7. I don't understand why some of you are having issues with parking.  Just park on the street in the neighborhood across Berry and walk a few blocks.  It's a 10 minute walk at most.

Trump is misunderstood and you have to make an effort to try to rationalize how he operates and throw away the norms and look at the results. If you don't you are just haters on the sidelines jeering someone trying to make a difference.

It has to be understood that Trump feels like only results matter and he will do anything to get something done. No matter how outrageous it may be.  He just has his method and it fucking works. You can hate his guts all you want but if you really want shit happening then who has done a better job at it ever? Reagan is probably the last president to get things done but he did some stupid shit too. The Bushes didn't do shit, Clinton didn't do shit, Obama didn't do shit. This fucker does shit.

He has made major accomplishments in every area of how our government works. Jobs, foreign policy, fixing structural issues in how the government operates. Got the pipeline pushed through, opened up new areas to drilling, making the country oil independent more or less that is. And he knows that oil won't be used for primary energy generation in 50 years or so but he doesn't give a fuck. He wants jobs out there for people now and getting off oil too fast will fuck a lot of people and who wants that?

Korea has been a hot spot for 60 years now it is done. Trump told China how it was going work going forward and they fell in line. We hold all the cards and we are the gorilla on the block and he knows that he is using that to basically tell the rest of the world how it is going to be and they are going for it.

The Arabs let by the Saudi's are finally going to adopt the "Arab Peace Plan" and Iran will be isolated and eventually, probably sooner than anyone thinks there will be a regime game in Iran and Iran will once again be an ally. Once those guys are out of play Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan will stabilize and Turkey will work things out with the Kurds.

People talk about how he turns people over a lot. Hey, that is the way it is in the business world. You either do the job or you're fired, and when people fuck up he gets rid of them. Look at the limited talent pool he has to start with anyway.  There are probably only a dozen people qualified to be sec of defense and not a single one of them has ever had to work for maniac hell-bent on success. And its that way for all the top people he has to have.

People criticize him because of the government jobs in the executive branch that he hasn't filled yet and say its an example of what a dumbass he is. Well, fuck those jobs. Apparently, we don't need them filled as they are likely unnecessary.

I have even gotten to where I can handle his tweets although they had a high cringe factor for me until just in the last month or so until I finally realized he knows he is acting crazy but this is how he has always operated and it has always worked in the past for him so whatever. I just don't let it bother me. Btw, every president from here on out will tweet their asses off.

I think he is fucking great.

    Rant over

It amazes me everyone credits him for jobs.  There were literally less jobs created in his first year than in any year going back to, I believe, 2011.  More jobs were created in every single year of Obama's second term.  Just because Trump talks about being a great jobs president doesn't make it true.

I would say a positive of Trump is that Republicans can never again call themselves the party of fiscal responsibility.  Thanks to tax cuts nobody needed in an economy that was already doing well,  the federal government had to borrow $488 billion in the first quarter of 2018, the most in history and almost as much as the entire deficit in Obama's last year.  By 2020 we will be operating at deficits of more than $1 trillion a year.  But hey, your paycheck will probably afford you a couple of extra trips to Starbucks.  Worth it, amirite?

And I actually do give Trump some credit for Korea.  Probably less credit than Trump supporters do, but more than most on the left give him.  His saber rattling seems to have influenced Kim.  However, I'm going to hold off on recommending peace prizes as he hires Pompeo and Bolton who are priming us for a war with Iran.  I guess 16 years and counting of war in the Middle East has gotten boring and defense contractors aren't profiting off of it enough so we need a new front.  Remember when Trump pretended to be against the Iraq war?  I'm sure that's why he's bringing back W's neocon war monger friends for a sequel. Regime change always works out so well for us in the Middle East.  I'm sure this time will be no different!

  9. Poor Ann Dowd.  Wolf's joke about Aunt Lydia has every conservative shitting their pants that it was a joke about her bad looks, basically insulting Ann Dowd in the process.

She clearly wasn't saying that SHS looks like Aunt Lydia.  Aunt Lydia was a character who betrayed other women by brainwashing them into believing the government's lies.  She helped keep women down and enslaved by the government.  That was the joke -- that she's a liar and a tool of the government used for evil.

That joke hit the nail on the fucking head.

I Watched How Sarah Sanders Privately Reacted After Being Attacked – This Is Her Real Character

I was in the room Saturday night when comedian Michelle Wolf began attacking White House press secretary Sarah Sanders.

Sanders was sitting just feet away from Wolf as she began to hurl insults and bully her. Sanders was called a “liar” by Wolf, had her looks compared to a fictional sex-cult leader and was told she was an “Uncle Tom,” but for “disappointing white women.”

Sanders sat through the insults unsmiling, often looking uncomfortable. I watched the reaction from the sea of journalists and DC influencers packed like sardines into the room at the Washington Hilton as Wolf began leveling her attacks. There was very little laughter. Even the faces of the most liberal reporters cringed during the comments. There was audible groaning. Wolf carried on, reading from her prepared remarks, which also clumsily attacked Kellyanne Conway and made light of aborting a fetus.

As Wolf closed out her remarks it was clear to all present that the act bombed. Those in the room knew the backlash would be swift and the mood from Correspondents Association members and White House staff was grim at the parties that carried on throughout the evening.

At the MSNBC after-party, I spoke with high-ranking members of Sarah’s staff. They were disgusted by the remarks and told me that the plan was for Sanders to walk out of the dinner if the attacks got too personal. Sarah, however, stayed firm.

“I don’t know how she does it,” one of her closest confidants told me, “She kills them with kindness — she puts up with it. Good-hearted American people see that — and then [Sarah] wins.”

Members of the White House press corp tell me they had asked for Sanders’ home address after the ordeal in order to send her a large flower basket.

The MSNBC party was set outdoors. It was a cold and rainy night and the event was winding down. Then the unexpected happened. Sarah Sanders walks into the MSNBC party. MSNBC, an openly liberal network that often promotes the vitriol that just attacked her, was the last place you would expect to find Sanders that night. But there she was. And guess what? Sarah Sanders was smiling. She owned it. I asked her about the attack and she shrugged, cracked a smile and simply told me that the attacks didn’t bother her and that she’s praying for the comedian.

That is the kind of woman she is.

Sanders did not lash out publicly. She did not attack Michelle Wolf personally or professionally. She just forgave her and shrugged it off.

Since then, the White House Correspondents Association has apologized and disavowed Wolf, hundreds of reporters have critiqued the dinner and Sanders has been defended by high-ranking members of the administration and the president himself.

Flying into Washington, D.C. as a celebrity to cheap-shot a mother who works in the White House to her face in front of a room of one thousand journalists, simply because you disagree with her politically, is not brave.

It’s the definition of a coward and a bully.

Putting up with it and forgiving that person afterward?

    That is real power.

That's weird.  I can't seem to find any articles from Benny Johnson rebuking Trump after he personally attacked numerous women, including going after and attempting to destroy the career of a mother like Megyn Kelly.  Surely they're out there and he's not just a hypocritical jackass that only gets mad when liberal women call out conservatives, right?

They had nothing to do with it?  🤣

His admin doesn't have responsibility for what happens during that time?

Or are you going to make an argument that turning over 20% of US uranium to Russia was a good move? 😯  Cause I'm DYING to hear that argument. DYING!

Be aware that the US is a NET importer of uranium...which IMHO makes the sale an absolute no go regardless of the buyer who was outside the US.

Yes, both had nothing to do with sending uranium to Russia, because zero uranium is being sent to Russia.  I'm not arguing whether it's a good or bad move.  I'm arguing that it's a nothingburger and not some nefarious backdoor deal to hurt the U.S. for profit that Hannity and Trump have convinced their gullible bootlickers to believe.

    Well that's sweet.

FTR...would you consider selling a limited supply, highly tactical, natural resource...a resource that we as a nation import...that can be used in manufacture of nuclear weapons...traitorous?

Hint: This question may be less hypothetical than you might imagine. 😉

Now imagine if the person that bought it...was really evil.  Maybe not Russia evil...ok...maybe Russia evil*.

*After 2012 Russia evil...because in 2012 they were a joke and 20+ years past being a security concern.  Then in 2016...back with a bullet baby!!!

My best guess is that this is attempted snark at calling Obama or Hillary a traitor for sending uranium to Russia, even though neither Hillary or Obama have ever been involved in sending uranium to Russia. It's a stupid, easily refutable conspiracy on the level of pizza gate.

It's amazing that Trump keeps touting the black/Hispanic unemployment rates like he had anything to do with them.  Trump is basically a 2nd string QB who comes into the game with 3:00 minutes in 4th after his team is already up 49-7, scores a touchdown, and wants the game ball and credit for winning the whole thing.  He inherited a sub 5% unemployment rate and less jobs were added to the U.S. economy in Trump's first year than any year going back half a decade.

And congrats to Kanye who has apparently joined a very exclusive club consisting of Clint Eastwood, Scott Baio, Ted Nugent, and Dennis Miller as the only entertainers who are allowed to have political opinions according to half of the country.

I can’t decide if they are too dumb to know this are very smart for knowing this.

Well from their testimony, apparently they don't know the difference between a company like Facebook being publicly traded vs. publicly owned or why that distinction matters.  They also think that FEC filings are "fake news."

This makes me want to go with the former.

On the other hand their parents are former televangelists, so it's likely all just a big money making scam.

  15. Meh, maybe if I didn't have a job or a life or there weren't other new TV shows I liked to watch with my free time, I probably would devote 70 hours to rewatching.  Having to wait 2 years for 6 episodes just has my interest waning.  Maybe it wouldn't if it didn't feel like the quality in writing didn't noticeably drop the past couple of seasons.

  16. Wranglers are always overpriced, new and resale, but that's ridiculous for a Jeep that old.

Don't get me wrong, my Wrangler was probably the most fun vehicle I've owned, but they constantly are breaking down and falling apart.  With that said, I'll probably be one of the first in line for a Scrambler whenever it comes out.

  17. Out of all of the things in the Christian bible, the concept of hell is what really turned me off from the religion.  The idea that a permanent, never ending, eternal torture and suffering was waiting for any one person, much less the majority of people born according to the Bible, does not align with a supposed "merciful and loving" God.  Temporary suffering and agony, like a purgatory to pay off your sins?  Sure.  Just ceasing to exist and not getting into paradise?  Sounds good and believable.  But this idea that a self-described father figure could send billions of his children to writhe in agony forever and ever not only sounds like complete B.S., it sounds like a father figure not deserving of praise and worship.  I mean, could any of you as a father imagine sending any son or daughter, regardless of what they may have done, to endlessly suffer and be tortured?  You can't.  Yet we supposedly have a loving father in Heaven that will do exactly that just because you questioned a book that was written from handed down stories thousands of years ago.
