  1. When Pantera made it to Corpus in the mid-90s some of the gangbangers in town had discovered that going to shows and mosh pits was "fun".

At this particular show these gang dudes would get into the circle and start picking on one guy. Slamming into him over and over until he finally would stop and give him the WTF bro or even worse, take a swing. As soon as the victim would take a swing three or four of the gangbangers buddies would jump into the circle and just beat the shit out of the guy. It was horrible. Saw it happen multiple times.

  2. That would be an awesome move by the government to fuck with the crazies who I'm sure inundate their offices with FOIA requests for bullshit like antifa.

Hey, throw in bigfootproof.zip or some shit to distract them for weeks.

He fucked up when he admitted to re-opening the investigation in order to clear her name to be the "legitimate president" and that he was working with the Hillary guaranteed victory in mind when he made that decision.

Plus, after reading about what an emotional and appearance driven dude he is, it makes me giggle that he was America's top G men.

Fuck is he talking about? Aren't they supposed to uphold the laws? I didn't realize that they take their values and what they thing is "right" comes into play.

He seems to be too smart for his own good. He tries too often to make clever intellectual statements, which backfire tremendously. I understand the point he was trying to make, but using the actual term "deep state" is completely idiotic. Because, as in the link you shared, every mouth breathing imbecile blog site is going to run wild with that, while completely missing the point.

I saw a lot of out of state vans/cars, etc parked in that area setting up yesterday. I didn’t know it was that popular on a nationwide scale.

Oh yeah, if you go check out the artwork, a lot of them are from out of state. It's a great event, last year when we talked to a few of the artists they were all really big fans of coming to FW for Main Street. Some really cool stuff out there too even if a lot of it is very spendy.

I get why some of you find this outrageous. I didn't realize the song was originally performed at a minstrel show. I don't get the connection between the song and having it sung by people in black face.  Also learning the song was borne of a former UT president being enamored with Robert E. Lee...The song has a much more interesting history than I knew. Still, I don't see what would be gained by "banning" it although that seems to be an overstatement. I see only where the proposal was to stop signing it before student gov't meetings...and if they don't want to sing anything before student gov't meetings I don't really blame them.

When I was in school, the story went that the song was sung as part of a "variety" show. Which I guess was technically true, but missing a pretty important piece of information.

Unless anyone legitimately thinks that we should add a verse on at the end where we address the systemic oppression that comes from this song … then we can’t address it; we can’t use it as a mechanism of education

The Eyes of Texas are upon you
    All the live long day
The Eyes of Texas are upon you
    You cannot get away
    From white male corporate oppression,
    Police brutality and implicit bias
The Eyes of Texas are upon you
Until gender roles are eliminated entirely

I don't know it doesn't have the same ring to it.

Dotard going off this morning. First public shot at Stormy?

Is anyone else now 100% convinced that DJT's peeps sent a threat to Stormy now that DJT felt the need to publicly respond to this?

It seems as though everything he's publicly denied or dismissed as "fake news" has turned out to be true.

  8. Mueller and Rosenstein have declared a legal war on the president, and a source close to the president is telling Fox News tonight that Mueller’s investigation is way out of control.”

So Hannity was reporting himself as a source then. And telling his own show/network that Mueller's investigation is out of control. LOL what a clown.

Cohen a source no need to disclose relationship. Cohen happens to be your attorney. You must disclose. You can still have opinions on Cohen, Trump and everything else after disclosure.

Also you can't have it both ways, which is the circular game they're trying to play. If Hannity only has a "relationship" then Cohen can't claim him as a client. If Cohen can claim him as a client, then absolutely Hannity has to disclose that he's defending his own lawyer on his stupid program for mouth breathers.

  10. It's a much easier life if you just realize that anyone who uses the term deep state in a serious discussion of issues is an absolute fucking moron.

Sean Hannity uses it more than anyone. Of course he most likely uses the term because it's a good attention grabbing red button to draw in and hold the attention of other absolute fucking morons.

Anyone who is willing to whore themselves out that shamelessly for money and ratings is capable of anything. There is no scenario no matter how crooked, ridiculous, comical, or insane that I would not at least consider when it pertains to Sean Hannity. He is a fucking clown show.

That was my first thought. Was the work done across the border? The mechanics union was running commercials a few weeks ago about SWA planning to farm out maintenance.

Ah yes, the old racist / isolationist / union argument that no one in Chi-Na or Latin America can do work as well as the good old USA. They probably can't even read English good!

Hint....this is the safest era in aviation history and a great deal of maintenance has been done abroad in those locations over the past 10+ years.

  12. The "scenery" in the area 4th & Five described is un-real. Also, though there are your typical club type places, there are also bars you can go to in that area that won't make you feel like a dinosaur at 40-50. Your co-workers will think you're a hero among men.

Headed to Austin next weekend for a corporate gig (MotoGP) and I was asked where we should go in the evenings (Friday and Sat night) as I went to school there 30 years ago.... Staying downtown at the Omni but understand 6th isn't a place to go...  Any suggestions for a bunch of 40-50 year olds to have a few drinks and look at some "scenery"?  It's been any years that I've been to Austin without wife and family in tow and have no clue where to go for an evening out. And no, not looking for a titty bar...

Is this why the hotels are so god damn expensive this weekend?   It's worse than a UT Football weekend down there.

Never been to the Varsity but this article makes it seem a bit racist.

Too old to know why anyone would ban Jordan sneakers.

I swear this exact same story has come out at least once if not twice before. I think last time the culprit was shorts or baggy jeans or somesuch.

They're all just getting ready for Racist Kung Fu Saloon's arrival, which appears imminent based on the construction/finish out progress.
