  1. Caught another wave of buying to take fats and feeders back to all time highs despite up front softness in live cattle.
  2. Isn't Arizona a big failson/daughter school?
  3. That's what the he was asking about.
  4. In another sign of where we are at sentiment, I had my first client tell me he wants to put down fresh concrete for his feedlot pens.
  5. I'd also assume they had a poor disposition and didn't respect a fence.
  6. Right, just give up some time on the turn, but you get them cheaper. Used up dairy cows make pretty good hamburger. Grandpa used to keep a second deep freeze just for that.
  7. If you buy meat at Wal-mart, you are eating a Holstein cross most of the time. Lot of guys in the upper midwest feed dairy steers because that's what available locally. And that's before even touching cull cows.
  8. On the buffalo note, a guy back home raised them for awhile. He tried to doctor a sick one once and it chased Doyle around while he was on his three wheeler until the buffalo keeled over from exhaustion.
  9. Means they are taking any offer to get any cut of beef moved cause slow demand is backing things up even with tight supply.
  10. I'd also like to note that boxed beef was sharply lower again this morning with packers puking cuts, with live cattle futures 350 to 400 lower and feeder off 700 to 800
  11. Boxed beef prices have been backing up a bit as we get out of grilling season and the consumer has turned up their nose at the higher prices of beef. Starting to see packers discount to move into retail channels a bit.
  12. No better value out there than a good pork loin.
  13. Also we finish animals to a much higher weight than we used too.
  14. Wal-Mart has made steps in that direction with the new packing plant in North Platte effectively only killing smaller dairy crosses just for them with a large new all cement outdoor lot in Dundy County anchoring supply for them. But Wal-Mart doesn't own either as of now. Integrating cattle is harder because of the labor and space required. There has been some looks at confinement cow-calf but it really hasn't taken off. (I've kicked the tires on putting up a hoop set up for myself, but can't shake the attitude if I go that far, I might as well get into dairying)
  15. I hope they let Trev run it because he'll find away to do something to piss everyone off further, along with being financially irresponsible.
  16. The last two years they’ve beat other single wing schools in the finals in Jeff North and Centralia. Both very quick games when nobody passes.
  17. For. It was Conway vs. Garden Plain, which is where my wife and her siblings are from originally
  18. I’m watching a stream of my nephews play high school ball in Kansas tonight and it’s a single wing teams vs. a wing-t team and it’s fun seeing both teams just jam all 11 guys into the box and go full cro-mag football
  19. They are waiting for the tests to come back for the amount of cream and extras in his Dr. Pepper before confirming.
  20. Well most "professionals" are Feds in disguise
  21. Very much like taking JFK in and working on him in Dallas for a bit before calling it.
  22. Those always way quicker than I think they are. The neighbor kids haul ass on the nearby lakeside trail to me.
  23. So if we have no real physical description at this point, the break is going to have to come from the shooter either being a real loud mouth about intentions online or in person, or have failed in keeping traceable electronics off their person, right?
  24. What type of building was the shot taken off of? Classrooms, student center, etc.?
  25. I think Orem is pretty close to SLC but I don't know how they can respond in a situation like this.
