  1. Monkey Man. Had a lot of promise, the fighting/action is good, but despite trying extremely hard to get the audience emotionally invested everything felt about an inch deep.
  2. The Thing (1982) great cast, story and suspense hold up well(some of the creature effects don’t show great in HD). the dog(or handlers) deserve a supporting actor oscar. The scene where the dog walks down the hall to its first victim is incredibly paced and expressive by a…dog. Chilling.
  3. I know. Just struck me funny.
  4. heard this on AM radio a couple times and now its fucking stuck in my brain. especially the "meow meow ..meow". Its awful, like a fucking splinter...arghhhh
  5. diet coke out my nose for some damn reason. I think the word "niblets" was the kicker
  6. maybe he's the father of 5 girls who use a metric shitload of toilet paper weekly.
  7. Generally, yes. Those savings won't be simply 1 to 1 traceable immediately , meaning if shipping rates are $100 prior to automation and $50 after automation. Although these ports are negotiating with the longshoreman under USMX alliance under one negotiation they are independent organizations and compete with each other for shipping volume.
  8. Paging Kevin to the white courtesy phone
  9. In regards to those advocating sports being completely co-ed and solely based on performance. I'd think about the psychological damage that would do to girls starting about the age of 13 when they will inevitably in large numbers get demoted from the advanced teams. From my personal kids sports viewing I would think 100% performance based teams to be quite mixed gender until around that point.
  10. So do fast food franchisors.
  11. do you even tacobell, bro?
  12. Can we get a running list of the people who have predicted 50 of the last 1 pandemics?
  13. certainly not. Just a bit of push back on the "last chance negotiation for labor" comments.
  14. Is there anything in that article that doesn't appear to be simply factual? or are you asserting the forfeits didn't actually happen?
  15. That's not going to be tenable.
  16. 1.) No way the Chinese port runs as smooth as presented in the above video. Every single warehouse/logistics automation project I have ever encountered is a clusterfuck of workarounds that include WAY more labor, often high paid to deal with software, than presented in the sales pitch. I would love to hear any Surly real world experience anecdotes counter to that. 2.) Even if PO's were cut today and earth was being moved its decades to automate all US ports to the level of that video.
