  1. I don’t think he’s copying what that watch is. I don’t even think he’s using ncaa logos. I think he’s putting together a watch like he’s done a hundred times already. I think he’s releasing multiple versions of the same watch with college color schemes. If he gets the color right, I’d consider it. Mainly because so few people get the right orange. Even if he does get the orange right he’s not the first burnt orange watch on the market. I’ve seen some brands at the co-op and elsewhere with longhorn logos that look like crap that I’ve passed on because they were too gaudy or too cheap looking. The championship watch is pretty good looking but I’d never get anything with a championship logo on it. I really don’t have an interest in the success of his business, but when I saw him suggesting burnt orange I figured the watch thread on the longhorn board would be a place that might be interested. Cheers
  2. Sized up the bracelet on my newest (third from the left). The baby blue did not appeal online but in person looks great. The bracelet even comes with the divers extension clasp which made it real easy to find a comfortable sizing. To say I have a type is an understatement. Most of my watches are G shocks or dive watches. My favorite divers are the citizen eco-drive divers. They look great and can be bought for a reasonable price. The outlet store in San Marcos has a weekly sales email and will ship for $20. Be prepared to sign for delivery which can be frustrating for working folk like myself.
  3. Long Island Watch varsity line Long Island watch is asking for feedback on color combinations for college themed colorways. polling is closed but perhaps a burnt orange white combo in the works

Right around this scene there is an exchange like: Lesbian: i like women gutter: cool lesbian: why? Because it fits into your male fantasy of trying to score with two women at the same time gutter: no. We both dig chicks maybe I’m wrong but I’ve been playing that scene in my head
  5. My next kershaw will be an Iridium My most recent Kershaw is the Launch 18. Perfect sized auto and it has been great.
  6. Furreal. I did practice for 15 minutes just on RPO. I thought I had it down. Turns out in game I was wrong.
  7. Wow.
  8. Prices are not great. I think everything is 20% off MSRP which is higher than you get at online retailers. Which makes sense. The ones I bought had added discounts (salt wharncliffe was a discontinued, SpyOpera was open box used at a knife show). Plus I am a veteran so I got an additional 20%. If it weren’t for the added discounts I probably would not have bought anything. They have two events a year where they sell blems that have huge discounts. One such event is next weekend for first responders and military, the other event is in November for everyone. I would not go out of my way expecting a huge discount. The big reason to stop is to handle knives you can’t find anywhere else. It’s not often you get to see the whole catalog available to fondle.
  9. Yeah, every time I saw these on knife sites I blew them off. They look funky. Then I held the SpyOpera and really liked it. I never would have bought one had I not seen it in store.

  11. It is amazing how much a strap swap affects how I feel about a watch. The original bracelet on this Citizen diver broke. I liked the bracelet but have not repaired it yet. I tried a lot of options and nothing felt right. I started with a couple different brands of NATO straps, I tried a thick orange orange silicone from overseas, I even tried a couple of aftermarket bracelets (including strapcode) without any luck. I finally tried a Barton silicone bracelet, and it was perfect. I’ve work this watch all week and enjoy wearing it again.
  12. That was going to be my recommendation, not based on experience but rather what I see shared everywhere. Phase II is a great ball
  13. On our way back from Yellowstone, we swung by Golden Colorado The Spyderco factory outlet was worth the trip. They of course had everything on display. After I checked out Sal Glesser (owner, creator) came out as I was trying to discuss the kitchen knives to my wife and he told me: “if you get no other knife, you should get one of these (Counter Critter). I give these to several restaurants in town on the condition I can come take a look under the scope every three months and check how they’re doing…..” so I did. I ended up with a SpyOpera, Salt 2 Green in Wharncliffe and an Enuff 2 in leaf blade. Along with some other paraphernalia.
  14. That is what I was coming here to say. Swinging at a lot of air.
  15. Fuck that guy in the goat ass.
  16. These are awesome dogs. I got Bailey and was surprised at how soft her coat is for a pit/cattle dog mix. Then a couple years later, Luna crawled into my lap at the pound and was even softer. Bailey and Luna. Pound puppies from Wilco. They rarely bark, shed twice a year and act as if they are starving for attention.
  17. Yes. They don’t tend to hang out in the living room so I dont suspect hit it with anything. I am comfortable knowing you don’t suspect any major issues. I’ll just get a guy to come in a patch / fix. Thanks all
  18. I don’t know why I said tile when I meant shingles
  19. I noticed a tear in our living room ceiling. My initial thought was water damage from a roof leak. I noticed this spot recently so it could have happened after the mega wind storm that hit austin last week but it could have been there before. The tear occurs just below the seam of the drywall From the exterior I do not see any missing or damaged tiles. I went back inside and noticed some cracks at the joint of the ceiling and the wall. Is this a water leak issue or a foundation issue.
  20. I tried to buy this knife from optics planet and they cancelled the order. The rules for shipping auto knives across state lines are grey to them. They would not ship to Texas unless I was military /LEO.
  21. So six months ago I got the threat of a third antidiabetic med. I was already on jardiance and metformin. My a1C was 7.8. I started trying to lose weight and I did, but then saw a nutritionist. They pointed out a lot of my substitute foods were bad for me (high carb) and some other things. I changed: Workout: stationary recumbent bike 30 min 6x week Weight workout: mjnor body weight/ kettlebell/ dumbbell 3 times a week. Sometimes 4. Breakfast starts 12 hours after last food of the night before. (No cereal.) Omelette / strawberries / banana Snacks: peanuts / apple or grapes or any fruit (no longer granola bars) Pasta: great reduction most days to almost none Sandwiches maybe once or twice a week (used to be almost every other day) Dinner: two vegetable portions. Rarely corn. The air fryer has really helped here. Chocolate/candy: greatly reduced After dinner treat: usually fruit popsicles Drinks: water. Plenty of water. (no longer Splenda tea / diet soda / sweetened sparkling water) One “cheat” dinner Fridays. That is usually my pasta or pizza night as the family goes out. Two weeks ago was the 6 month follow up. My a1C is down 1.5 to 6.3. My weight is down 35 pounds. My cholesterol is where it needs to be. This was the right kind of wake up call. I hope I can maintain it.
  22. The Gentlemen by Guy Ritchie was a solid A-. It needed more Giancarlo Esposito.
  23. So you scrub, scrubbed
  24. It started with Brock’s jammed finger. It forced the Disu sub, but Disu didn’t have his legs (illness) so when he tried to shoot it was way short. no adjustment after that doomed us.
  25. I’ve owned three Chris Reeve knives. Small Sebenza, large Sebenza and one other that I can’t remember the model number. The shape didn’t work on the other one so I don’t own it anymore. The two Sebenzas are drop point and I’ll keep for life. They are really nice. I don’t carry them daily like I do a lot of the Benchmade’s I have. I prefer a deep carry clip and I don’t want to get a custom clip just to get it to ride lower in the pocket. I don’t regret buying one (or two) but it does make it easier to justify other more expensive knives.
