  1. I’ve done a dozen buys/sells using tgt. I met at an academy parking lot, toward the back of the lot. No issues ever. I’ve heard TGT has more attempts at fraud but haven’t heard of robberies. With gunbroker I always had them ship it so I can’t speak to a FTF transaction with a GB seller. Did you pay online and are picking up in person? Or are you paying in person? You may check to see if the same pistol is listed on TGT. Bill of sale won’t help you so far as I can tell. You could bring a friend in the car if you have one available. Daytime better than nights.

  3. The cops know who did it. It was the 4 originally arrested. The lead investigator was focused on someone else and it led to a lack of attention and focus on the evidence that was there. Two were eventually arrested and convicted. Scott and Springsteen. They confessed and both included statements that involved the other guy. When they used both confessions in each trial it created a situation where the statements couldn’t be cross examined since they refused to testify in person. The third guy Pierce would have been named if they could have convinced Springsteen and Scott to testify but they refused. Without enough evidence other than the confessions, they didn’t have enough to convict beyond a reasonable doubt.
  4. Is this supposed to be some sort of symbolism for a girl getting her first period? And turning into a monster (emotionally, of course)
  5. Follow up. Went back to Reds for round two of the Dan Wesson Vigil and WC EDC9. I took them home and cleaned again and re-lubed. With the DW Vigil I had one feed issue. It was 90% fed and just a nudge seated the round. Better. Not great. The more prevalent issue with the failure to lock on an empty mag. I’ve got a variety of mags: DW, Colt, Wilson combat, chip McCormick and Meg gar. The only ones it locked on empty was the Chip McKormick. That got me researching. Apparently, This is a common issue and they suggest NOT CLEANING THE GUN just lubing for the first 500 rounds. The powder residue and oil should help smooth the surfaces as it cycles to ease the tight tolerances that make this failure to lock an issue. The WC had no lock issues. I had two feed issues and one I just sat there and looked at it and it eventually fed after a short delay. The nose of the round was stalled on the ramp. I put a light coat of lube on the ramp and no more failures. Perhaps some more break in and these parts will wear into a smooth working shooter. I feel better but not great.
  6. Yeah, he can act. I wish they would have used him differently.
  7. Just saw it. My early thoughts are like a lot of you here. Seven, muscle car, fight lit by gunfire, yada yada. There were some cool shots but the work to set up the shots may not have been worth it. When I first heard it was Pattenson, I know a lot of people mocked the choice that it would be brooding vampire from the Twilight movies and I dismissed it. I thought Pattenson had done some great work since then and has grown as an actor. I was wrong. Lots of slow shots with him looking moody and saying little. It was the theme though. Maybe the sequel will show him evolving into . . . more.
  8. If you have kids, the spa near the deep end becomes a diving platform if it is raised at all
  9. I didn’t know Kevin ragged on the show. On his podcast he raved on it.
  10. I wouldn’t sell any property 64 meters above sea level. Millions of people are going to need somewhere to live when Houston, New Orleans and the entire state of Florida are under water.
  11. That was spoiled in the original movie when they explained where the organization came from.
  12. That’s an endura. Says so on the side.
  13. That looks fancy. My guy literally broke our graph paper.
  14. Good points. I Boba Fett ends up with the Dark Sabre riding a mythasaur to become the ruler of Mandalore, this may be a small step to an awesome future season.
  15. Listening to Kevin Smiths Fatman in Batman, Marc Bernardin brought up points I struggled with early and again now that I stopped to think about it: Why is Boba not more bad ass? He doesn’t seem to be a great tactician and he with a few exceptions, his fighting didn’t seem that impressive. Also, Why does Boba Fett want to be leader of the Underworld? Maybe I need to watch the series again. Was it Money? He says he has plenty of credits. He could just raid jabbas spoils and get out of town. Is it Just because he can? Is this his retirement plan or does he want power? What does he want to do with the power? Make a better world for fellow bounty hunters? Does this position allow him to prevent people from hunting Tuscans (his surrogate family)? Did his near death experience change his moral compass and now he wants to protect the city because only he can? I don’t think they did a good job giving me a reason to get behind Boba. When he needed to raise an army, why not go to the Tuscans (other clans) and bring them down on the Pikes. Promise them a steady cut from the in town business especially after Cad Bane mentions who was responsible for slaughtering his old friends. I saw how this final episode was the culmination of a Seven Samurai (magnificent seven) type of journey where everyone had a reason to get involved in turning away the bandits that are going to ruin the town, but they didn’t really show us the villagers in fear. And what was up with Fennig leaving the fight to go slaughter people when that wasn’t a time dependent activity. They could have used her during the fight. Surely he could have called her back quicker than it took to go grab a Rancor. Then they could both go and slaughter the leaders of the clans. How much more bad ass would Boba have been if he showed up to beat the shit out of them in that little room the same way Darth Vader tossed the resistant fighters on the ship at the end of Rogue One.
  16. This show is great at what it is. Like was already said, a little Blazing Saddles and a little Kick Ass. It hasn’t gotten old yet. Word is there is another suicide squad spin-off and not Harley Quinn. I doubt they can pull it off as well as they balance the absurd and seriousness and comedy like they have done here but I’m sure I’ll watch. And the opening dance credits work every damn time. I had to buy that song just to add to a few playlists. Makes me smile.
  17. This series exceeded my expectations. Was it A+? No. But a solid A. It’s a western. In space. With a crew of great characters. Hero’s and villains. The cameos were great and I’ll take more whenever they want to put it together. Again, Was it perfect? No. I’m ok with it. And I hope they keep Timothy Olyphant coming back.
  18. EDC is a misnomer on this one for sure. It’s purely a range gun for me. I wanted a 9mm 1911 style target shooter with higher capacity. Your experience sucks, I hope mine smooths out. I really want to like this gun. As for carry, no way. It’s heavy and not reliable. Perhaps the tight tolerances are to blame but very not cool. I’ll keep oiling it up and take it each range trip. As for carry, Glock, CZ P10c or sig 938 here. Hell, I have a couple Bersas that I would carry before this one. I can count on one hand the number of FTF I’ve had with those.
  19. Both pistols are more accurate than my ability. I have a feeling I’ll burn off a big chunk of my ammo breaking these two in and working on my ability. Right now, my favorite is the CZ shadow which I had a better range trip with. 7yd
  20. I hit the range sundays. I stripped both down and lubed it up with the Wilson combat lubricant it came with. The cliffs notes are Some good some bad on both. WC EDC X9 ~100 rounds. Accuracy was good. I got some good groups at 7yd and still hit center mass at 15yd The Trigger felt great, light and good break. I tend to jerk the trigger more than I do on some of my other pistols. Reliability: this was irritating. A couple of failure to feed. I felt the cycling of the slide more than I usually do with other steel pistols. The slow cycling could be weak old ammo, could be tight fitment and stiff spring. Either way I’ll get a few hundred more rounds before I judge. WC 7 yards. 1st mag middle, 2nd mag lower left. 3rd upper left. Dan Wesson. ~120 rounds. Accuracy was noticeably better. At 7 yards I had some tight ragged holes, at 15 yards still tighter than the WC. Trigger similar to the WC. Great 1911 trigger. Light and crisp break with a short reset. I didn’t have the jerking issue. Reliability: one stove pipe. A handful of failure to feed. I did use a bunch different mags I had lying around. Chip McKormick, Dan Wesson, Colt, some others. I didn’t have the slow cycling like with the WC but the ammo in the old mags had been there for probably a few years. WC 7 yards. 15 yard. The cluster in the middle are the .45 rounds from the Dan Wesson The rest were the WC
  21. As promised, photos of the new arrival(s) The gunbroker win on top. Since I won that, I had to find a less expensive Dan Wesson. Hence the vigil
  22. HEB supposed to be open until midnight. Closed at 10:30. Staff and supply shortage. Hutto HEB.
  23. I know you said Colt, but gun warehouse had a brushed stainless Dan Wesson Valor that was really hard to leave in the store. Simple. No huge badging.
