  2. Duplantier actually made decent contact there.
  3. Two hits in the same AB.
  4. Farmer gets on base and can hit when needed. He is not a problem.
  5. That was fucking fair as shit.
  6. Got the bottom of the zone that time.
  7. Not an evil piece of shit @immamac. Oh wait, he was wrong about the facts, wrong about the law, and he still thinks he was right. I was right from the beginning. He is fucking trash.
  8. I disagree about the facts. But, even assuming you credit any of the "facts" suggesting he is not an ideal person, those are exactly the sort of people that the law must protect. We guarantee the rights of everyone by guaranteeing the rights for the worst of us. Our criminal jurisprudence has been built on those cases. Surrending here is surrendering the rule of law and due process entirely. Believing otherwise is either evil or ignorant.
  9. My guy, we told you multiple times you were wrong about the facts. You kept confidently rebutting everyone. That's not on us.
  10. You aren't. I understand what you're saying. But he literally did (see below). Now, it appears a lot of that was because he didn't know what he was talking about and conflated this with other cases. And that is my point, the only ones saying this doesn't matter are either ignorant or evil. He was pretty fucking determined to be in the latter category by asserting clearly incorrect facts. Either he was parroting lies (including that the guy is a member of MS-13) or he was being obstinate in his refusal to acknowledge that maybe he didn't know what he was talking about. While the latter isn't AS bad, it certainly isn't a good quality either.
  11. Everyone who acquiesces or defends evil is. This is evil. Telling folks this isn't worth fighting for is the behavior of the ignorant or a villain. He can still choose to be on the right side of this, but he isn't there yet. I'm quite comfortable in my judgment here and I'm not retracting it.
  12. You want to be something you are not, a good person. A good person doesn't say this isn't that big of a deal. A good person doesn't say this is a bad hill to die on. Either educate yourself and wake up or you'll be exactly what people here are saying you are.
  13. He opposes it, but it isn't a big deal because it doesn't affect him personally (yet). I'm in no fucking mood to coddle fuck sticks like that.
  14. IT FUCKING IS OUTRAGEOUS. Stop being a willfully ignorant twat.
  15. What notice would there have been? He was on a plane within 48 hours of being picked up. Have you seen anyone from the government claim they gave any notice prior to arresting him or deporting him? Here is the complaint(https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/69777799/1/abrego-garcia-v-noem/), read it yourself before fucking spouting off on shit you know nothing about. Oh, and maybe you can find anywhere the government said it gave proper notice of his detention or gave his family any ability to file a habeas action as it moved him multiple times across the country prior to shipping him to El Salvador. I'll wait.
  16. No. It isn't about that. It is about whether the government can ignore the rule of law. It is about whether due process exists and matters. Again, the government could use the exact same process and arguments on you, today.
  17. SAME CASE. He was originally here illegally but protected from deportation because of the danger of returning to El Salvador. He left El Salvador as a teenager because of those danger. When he was picked up by ICE in 2019, he was originally detained without bond because of the gang affiliation allegations. The ultimate result of those proceeding was a court order protecting him from removal and thus was a legal resident of the US from that point onward. Outside of the allegations from an officer and an unnamed informant in the bond proceeding, there was zero evidence he was ever a member of a gang and he has not been charged or convicted of any criminal wrong doing. He was arrested on March 13 of the this in Maryland. He was transported at some point to a holding facility in Texas. And then on March 15 (2 days after he was picked up), he was one of the people in the planes sent to El Salvador. @JBJ there was no notice, no opportunity to file habeas, no knowledge of where he was. In two days he went from legal resident of Maryland to prisoner in El Salvador. Fuck anyone excusing this. Fuck anyone saying we shouldn't be fucking outraged. Fuck anyone that says we should drop this. This is end of the country shit. If the government can do this, if it can get away with ignoring court orders, sending people to a foreign prison (and fucking paying for it), and then claim complete lack of ability to right those wrongs, then it can literally disappear anyone. No notice, no remedy, no law. This is fucking serious. More serious than a fucking war because the soul and entire future of this country is at stake. This is "First they came for.... and I did nothing" type of shit.
  18. There was a fucking court order not to deport him. Why the fuck do you think habeas would be any different? What the fuck is wrong with you?
  19. Bull fucking shit. The fact that government illegally deported a man when ordered not to, sent him to a foreign prison, and then fucking said it has no power to correct its mistake absolutely cannot be ignored. The government could do the same to you, tomorrow. The law applies the exact same way. It no universe can this behavior be ignored or set aside. It is the literal road to fascism and the loss of the rule of law.
  20. Admit that you're wrong about the facts, the law, and the process. You were talking out your ass and got scolded for it.
