  1. This should be getting more love. Banks has been such a big part of this program's turnaround. A very well-deserved award.
  2. This guy previously played at Grand Valley State for several seasons before transferring to LSU this past season. Would be a depth piece at best, but 3 sacks in fairly limited time (74 pass rushing snaps) suggests he may have some juice as an interior rusher.
  3. Well, let's see. The safety has 210 total tackles, six interceptions, 14 PBU, 6.5 TFL, a sack, and two forced fumbles in two seasons. He's got Ohio State and Oregon pursuing him, among others. Yeah, he'd be a terrible addition because he clearly has a losing mentality. The DT has requisite size (330+) and racked up a 71 overall grade (which is pretty good) in '24 according to PFF. He's obviously playing with a losing mentality. The punter averaged about a 45 gross and just under a 42 net on roughly a million punts this past season, so that's a pretty good sample size. I can see Texas passing on the safety not because he isn't a quality player, but simply because it's not particularly a position of need, esp. with McDonald and Filsaime waiting in the wings, Williams coming back after injury, and some hotshit freshmen on the way in. But the other two guys are quality performers at positions of need. They are takes all day, every day in the event they want to come to Texas.
  4. You don't think there can be good players on bad teams?
  5. Holy DT attrition, batman!
  6. Dorbah did play quite a bit in 2023 -- 30 total tackles and 6 sacks. He was hurt for part of 2024, which is part of the reason his stats decreased significantly.
  7. With less than 3 minutes left in the first half, SF has 310 total yards. Chicago has 2. That's "two."
  8. In no particular order, I put this loss on Sideshow Bert, Ewers and Sark. Just way too many fucking mistakes. Way too many penalties. Way too many turnovers.
  9. Bless his heart -- that guy is the very definition of "aggy homer." He is a big reason why the rollercoaster is already back on the upswing. I can only hope he keeps pumping out articles, because I need the laughs. Still waiting for his current ranking of SEC teams. It's very strange that it's taking him so long to publish it this week for some reason.
  10. When the O-line is good enough to finish out games by running the ball down the throats of defenses that know we're going to run the ball (see, e.g., the A&M game, the Arkansas game, Bama in '23, etc.) -- something we never saw in prior years -- then I'd say the O-line coach is pretty good.
  11. Kenny Clark flexes after a tackle 7 yards downfield, & then Det picks up the 1st down by sneaking it right over him. Not a good look.
  12. And he wasn't the only one wrecking shop on that play. Check out the rest of the D-line on that play, esp. Broughton and Norton. Frankly, the aggy RB wouldn't have scored even if Burke hadn't made the play.
  13. The sound of that aggy clown jizzing in his pants as he watched his simulated TD celebration was both comedy gold and disturbing at the same time.
  14. Home Depot dude at 1:00:54 of that video is my hero.
  15. Apparently their cohort, Phil McCracken, managed to evade arrest.
  16. FWIW, the misspelled reference to Liucci & Co. as "staph" actually fits.
  17. You're . . . welcome? Do I get some kind of $ reward for it? Like maybe a cut of Kern's NIL money? That should work out to about $1.29.
  18. He was ranked as a top 5 punter coming out of HS and averaged 46+ his senior year, so I question whether we can definitely say that he doesn't have the talent or leg. You're basing your conclusion on a freshman season in which he's been injured for at least part of the time. If you applied the same reasoning in 2015, you would have been ready and willing to cut Dickson loose. That said, as I said in another post, I would have absolutely no problem with portaling in a proven, experienced punter in '25. Texas should always be looking to improve at every position if possible.
  19. So now that overrated, untested Texas squad is actually way more talented than the the aggy players that were part of highly-rated recruiting classes because we spent boatloads of NIL money. I swear, I need a program to keep up with the changing narrative on TexAgs.
