  1. Burton saying he heard a rumor if McGuire doesnt get it done this year (whatever that means, big 12 championship?) there could be interest in Lincoln Riley.
  2. I wonder what his assistants were thinking when that report hit their phones.
  3. Jerry's grandson was a preferred walk on for Sark and I'd heard years back Sark and Jerry were friendly. No clue how that plays into what happened on Saturday morning. We all know Jerry is erratic, could be as simple as him just talking shit and accidentally divulging information that wasn't meant to be shared.
  4. Sark is being paid tens of millions and his NIL support is top 5 in the country. Possibly better. Its not that his personal life might be affecting his job performance, its that it has already affected it so much we have wasted a season. Sometimes you don't have a choice but to change your scenery. Too much has happened off the field, he needs a new gig.
  5. He's got enough wiggle and speed to escape the pocket, its just a matter of how good is his feel for the pocket breaking down in relation to trying to hold onto the ball long enough for his routes to develop. Sure would help if his routes took shorter rather than longer.
  6. I think Sark's stubbornness could have something to do with developing Arch with the NFL in mind. Sark definitely sees himself as that guy you go to when you want to play in the league.
  7. Jerry makes as much sense as anything but there’s all sorts of possibilities. College donors have direct access to the agent sphere now. It’s not even required to back channel through attorneys anymore if you don’t want to. You just pick up the phone and call them on their cell if you’re a big enough fish.
  8. This was one of my favorite wins in a long time. I think since bama on the road. I think I liked it so much because when it was about 38-21, all I could think about was how bad its going to get for the program, the players, but especially Sark and his family. Sark is an impressive guy inside the world of football. People seek him out. The Manning family has enough contacts to vet a person out. I would bet Sark has more than support from the Mannings. Football people believe in the guy. Im not an official football person, and Id like to just call it no harm no foul with Sark and go our separate ways. I really would like to see him escape this situation without all this dirty laundry getting aired. Id love to see him take his money and have success staying sober. I think the model is broken for him here and I would like to see him attempt success somewhere else.
  9. I dont know the story here, but I just assume for all intents and purposes hes kicked off the team, but his brother is not and the parents are on board with the situation. Could be totally wrong.
  10. I couldnt keep scrolling through the thread. This was too fucking awesome.
  11. Don’t know why this irritates me so much but it does. He’s good at a lot of things and I stopped ripping on him when he pulled the Schloss gambit but I doubt he’s even in the room if head fball coach replacements are being discussed.
  12. Gtfo of here with this bullshit.
  13. They’re my favorite ties and they nail the burnt orange. Glad I could bring a little positivity to what is shaking out to be a really nasty day.
  14. It will all come out. Now is not the time to be posting it on a message board.
  15. Pretty sure a guy talking on college gameday right now would get a phone call.
  16. CDC would have as much input on a new coach as my 8 year old would. Who would want to hire Arch Manning.
  17. I really like Sark. Hes done a great job for us. I admire how hes been able to bounce back from his issues. He also seems to be very well respected in coaching circles for his abilities. If this report is true, I feel really bad for him. I hope he's doing ok and I hope this doesnt trip him up sobriety wise.
  18. I've always said I can have a good time anywhere for two nights. I can have a blast anywhere for one night. But I'm a man of simple pleasures.
  19. Only a broken man finds himself wearing something like this in public. Alcoholics like Sark need major support systems, and I fear this wardrobe came directly from that support system. Not great, Bob!
  20. Fair enough but none of those move the needle for me at all in terms of wanting Texas to play them. Maybe Mich St if they are good like they used to be.
  21. Sark is in control of easy levers to pull that would give us a much more competitive look on offense than what we saw against Florida and Kentucky. Yes, even if he pulls those levers, we will continue to have struggles on offense, due to the personnel we have. But we saw in the second half of the OU game that we are capable of moving the ball better than the looks we gave UF/UK.
  22. If Sark would quit playing with himself and game plan similar to the OU game I could be talked into taking a big hit from the hopium pipe, but after Kentucky who has any clue what we are gonna get Saturday? For that reason alone, I'm very anxious to watch just to see if hes actually gonna keep humping that monkey or if he's going to make the obvious adjustments. I do think if we can survive Miss St then we have a great shot at home against Vandy. We make it that far, that means Sark has come to his senses and I think we are borderline dangerous.
