  1. Society is breaking apart at the seams before they have any control over any of it, and they're mad/worried that they're not even going to get to participate in their own version of America before the whole thing descends into madness. And angry young people are intolerant in many ways.
  2. The groyper community is filled with young disaffected men who have no real political beliefs and tilt towards nihilism, they're just looking for a group that is just as miserable as them, and find humor in violence and extremely irreverent ideas. I think the majority of the groypers are Fuentes disciples and take to heart what he says, but theres a significant portion of them who just want to see the world burn because they are so deeply unhappy. If you grow up in a conservative household and tilt towards nihilism and were born in a certain timeframe, theres a decent chance you're super online and end up being a "groyper".
  3. Dak hit CeeDee between the numbers, cant throw it better than that. No way you can drop that ball. Terrible.
  4. I feel the same way. It’s interesting to see how the NFL is bleeding into the college game now. I think we forget how serious a lot of these players have been for years before they even get to college. From my limited experience with my own kids, if there’s a couple of elite kids in a grade they are getting put into NFL style programs around the 5th or 6th grade where they have 7 on 7, nutrition, personal trainers, the whole nine yards. They’re showing up to these colleges with teams around them trying to make the league. Then you funnel those types up to the best programs and it’s not that far fetched that a guy like Patricia can get them running NFL schemes at a reasonably high level. I think it’s great.
  5. Not really disagreeing with your sentiment but this game reminded me a lot of Colt's first big game when we hosted.............Ohio State. Their state lines are almost identical.
  6. Patricia had a great gameplan and Sark/Arch got NFL'ed. That doesn't explain the stuff that we were able to control that went so poorly. We had what we needed to win but we needed Arch to be the guy and he just wasn't. He was missing throws you just cant miss. Very concerning. We are still going to be a good team but our whole offense is clearly a work in progress and that doesnt cut it if youre talking about a championship. I think you'll see a different Arch/offense by the time we get to Gainesville but its wait and see for any sort of expectations at this point. Wouldnt be the first time a young QB shits the bed against elite competition, especially in the first game.
  7. Arch has multiple coaches he works with over Zoom on mental stuff/film breakdown. Very good chance he doesnt come to Texas without Milwee but who actually knows. I was shocked at how bad he looked mechanically. Some members of his inside circle have been hinting the guy is ready to go on all levels. Mechanics, recognition, general health/strength, film preparation. All of it. Saturday was like getting coal in your stocking as a kid on Christmas morning. my impression is Milwee isn't going anywhere unless he leaves on his own for another job.
  8. Simmons has gotta be better than that
  9. If I found a magic cfb conference/scheduling genie Im not sure I could draw it up any better. Add in the advantage we have with the NIL developments and Im about as happy as you can get as a fan.
  10. I dont mind him too much but when Pate is around every team is getting a reach around.
  11. ********* Not trying to sound like an insider shield********** I got to talk to Arch this summer at a party. He is passionate about Texas and has been since he was a kid. He said he’s not in a hurry to leave and said if they don’t reach their goals this year then they will still have the 2026/27 season. ********* Not trying to sound like an insider shield ********
  12. All I can do is laugh at this post. It took me longer than that but when I saw it I couldn’t unsee it and my brain started to hurt. I don’t think Mack could’ve destroyed his program more thoroughly if he asked the A&M bonfire crew to take over.
  13. This Jonah stuff is bumming me out at the wrong time on a Sunday night. Really felt like he was gonna be a Simmons/Hill type of impact player.
  14. Its kind of a thing that people claim Scottie doesnt have many memorable shots. I know I wont forget this one. What a freak.
  15. Feels like we are outgunned and I dont really know how.
  16. I know one set of married Disney adults. I'd let my sons visit neverland ranch with MJ, unchaperoned, before I'd leave them in a room with the husband for one second.
  17. Ugh it’s horrible I had this so easily accessible in the recesses of my brain
  18. Welp that’s depressing having three little kids
  19. I’m 40 and I still wonder how much damage the Wild West of the internet did to my brain. Faces of death pain olympics serbian hammer (maybe Russian hammer) that horse lady heck even 2 girls 1 cup I watched hours of surgeries and trauma videos, mostly to just see what docs and medics see. Couldn’t have been good.
  20. Im fine playing Arkansas but with the caveat that theyre the only school we show no class or consideration towards. Every chance we get we run up the score on them in every way imaginable. We show them hostility at our home games similar to what they show us. They're disgusting hill people and we should treat them like barbarians. The treatment ive received in Fayeteville transcends the need to be cordial ever again. We should curb stomp them and piss down the open wound into their neck. To the point that they genuinely dont want to play us anymore.
  21. Anyone ever used Marker 54 shrimp lures in Galveston Bay? Heard they're the bees knees but havent heard which color, glide vs jerk, shrimplet vs full size etc.
  22. That’s to say that Mystic knew about the weather, was monitoring the situation, and in a huge storm had a plan that said campers should remain in their cabins instead of having them leave for higher ground. I think all of that is based on decades of experience, and they just completely underestimated this situation. Based on the conversation I had tonight, I think they stuck with their plan, and that was a fatal mistake. So much so, they realized it mid event, did what they could to get the girls out, and were just too late. Dick lost his life and his son Ed barely saved the girls that he could. Ed ended up in a tree with a bunch of the girls who all survived, except for one who was holding on for dear life to another girl. She lost grip and Ed (and I’m assuming some of the girls) watched her get swept away. What I haven’t heard is if that girl is the one who found a log to float on and got fished out by a Good Samaritan right next to La junta. That little girl was at church this Sunday playing king of the hill with about 30 other kids like nothing ever happened. My son was one of the ones being too rough with her and he had absolutely no idea that she was the little girl that his whole camp watched get evacuated by a Blackhawk helicopter from the La junta athletic field. I really am having trouble keeping up with the reality of all of it.
  23. Based on that post and what I’ve been told, what Texas Fight is saying seems accurate to me. There’s a lot of confusion about where the cabins are and where the mystic flood plan says to focus first. I think we need to let all parties report their pre flood plans, their actions during the event, and their post event thoughts about why they made the decisions they did.
  24. I dont know whats being said, but that is most certainly not their emergency plan. Im not directing this at you, but I feel confident the Eastlands and their staff took significant care when it comes to flood planning. Its going to take some time for the details to come out. That being said, I had dinner tonight with someone very close to the situation, and she tearfully stated to me that she thinks they could've been more on top of it. It doesnt sound like they were off by some egregious amount, but the scoreboard is the scoreboard. Its a brutal situation.
