  1. Georgia Tech's defense was not good this year. It's very possible Gideon could see he was in a bad situation or maybe he was even asked to move on. Getting another chance to work under Muschamp with superior talent at Texas must have been very appealing. Plus it is not like Gideon won't be paid handsomely. He'll get some title like defensive passing game coordinator and make a cool million bucks.
  2. Maybe Sark could blow out more teams, especially the ones in which Texas is favored heavily, then he could give second and third teamers playing time. And I like Sark, but there's no question he seems to make things harder than they have to be.
  3. Championship rings and all? Absolutely.
  4. What is Sark seeing in practice? Did they play pattycake this entire summer camp, so he had no idea Arch was so inconsistent?
  5. Anyone with thoughts on why Sark hasn't moved the pocket more or given Arch rollout run/pass options? Anything to give him more of a chance to see the field and easier passes?
  6. What is the scoop behind what Scipio is saying here? Anyone with insights?
  7. This is concerning. You would think with the analysts Sark has, there would be some real heart-to-heart self-scouting. Maybe try to get Paul Chryst back or someone from Chryst's coaching tree on staff?
  8. Flood was well-regarded on the boards the last two years. He's still the same guy this year with the difference being the players he has and their relative inexperience as a unit playing together.
  9. Human nature means this will never happen. The likes of Texas Tech and Baylor would rather sue and force all schools to play at a reduced buy in amount and then share revenue equally.

  11. The answer is so obvious: just have the 12 team playoff a year early. Get the media partners to buy in. I am sure they would be for it. Everyone would make a lot of money. Why is this so hard?
  12. I believe they were one of the teams that applied to join the Big 12 in the previous round of realignment when Texas and OU were still "staunch" members. In retrospect, the league screwed up big time not admitting them at the time although I don't know the politics behind it. Louisville is way better overall prospective imo than Houston and even West Virginia.
  13. He's articulate and answers the questions posed to him without intentional evasion. Seems like a smart genuine leader - I have to think the players love to play for Sark.
